Just returned home after a cruise aboard Octantis. Cruised from Duluth, MN to Toronto, 15 days of pure pleasure. OCTANTIS is a beautiful ship, quiet, comfortable staterooms. The toys are incredible from the Zodiaks, SOB boats and Submarine. We have done several Viking cruises but Octantis is a special vessel. Plenty of activities, they keep you busy and active with the Toy's and their expedition crew are all experienced professionals and safety is stressed in all events. Housekeeping is top level, rooms are comfortable, free wifi that works, beautiful spaces to relax

Oh wow, what a ship! Not sure my budget would ever stretch to explore this one myself, but this has been fantastic to see on your channel - LOVE IT!

The name Octantis just sounds exclusive and luxurious.

Been waiting for this tour for a while, as someone who lives near the Great Lakes and would love to tour them by one of these new expedition ships.

Wait... This isn't for the public? You have to be with an organization or have creds relevant to the "expeditions"???

You speak often about using European adapters and converters when cruising. Do they only wirk with 220V devices, or do they just convert the plug that is used for additional 110V service.

Let's be real here: Nice ship, insane cost.
Most out of Florida cruises are $500.00 to 2500 generally speaking with air fair extra from far northern us cities and Far western.
Anybody from St.Louis and eastward could probably drive to the port cities. So complete cruise on a budget is 500 + 1000 expenses.
Now , if I read right, these cruises for
THE GREAT LAKES, are listed at around $25,000 dollars and up?
Well that excludes 99% of America.
    You must be independently wealthy,
Millionaire types. Not even doctors take these trips , in general. General Practitioners make about avg $250,000 a year. That's really no money, especially if that doctor has an expensive house, car(s), kids trophy wife , all VERRRY expensive to maintain.
The people taking these trips must be in another world. I was right. A commercial came on about these cruises a few minutes ago about this cruise line. A lady was interviewed who was at a port stop in a Midwestern city. A promo She said to the interviewer about this city
"It is an amazing city " . I laughed and thought something isn't right.
She didn't know that in the city she is talking about just recently a high profile doctor was found murdered and violence is out of control. Nothing against people with money, but they are very naive about the facade wealth can create. Most of these big cities and supercities are dangerous! Period.
You have to be on guard against crime , etc, especially as a tourist. You don't want to look "Out of place" .
There are a lot of bad actors everywhere. As the Bible states, "The scene of the world is changing'"
    I wish I could have told her directly;
DO NOT GO INTO THESE URBAN CITIES THINKING I AM COMPLETELY SAFE BECAUSE I AM WEALTHY.
That's a false sense of security!
Keep your wits about you and get on and out.
