Can’t afford it but really want to go see it in Milwaukee as I’ve been waiting since they announced it a few years ago. Plus I’m so excited Great Lake cruise industry growing hopefully we see a small Disney ship in the future- maybe if they ever do a small Disney park in Midwest.
WOW! That was a really great tour of the ship! You did a fantastic job of showing everything about this impressive ship. You got some excellent views of some very difficult to capture aspects of the ship. I'm so impressed by this video that I'm actually going to link to it in my next video about the ship.
I really considering an Antarctica expedition tour, everything about this ship and concept is exactly what I like. Exploration, Relaxation, Learning and Adventure PERFECT!
When most cruise ships today look like a floating block of apartments, Viking Octantis looks like a ship and a beautiful one at that. Well designed, she is more like a private yacht and space ship with the enormous hanger for the subs 'John' and 'Paul' (on her sister ship they will be called 'George' and 'Ringo') and other boats. If you can afford to travel on her you will never want to go on another ship again.
Fun fact. I have been inside this boat in every decks sometime before it went on it's cruises as i'm working for the shipyard that is right outside of Ålesund in Norway that have buildt 'Viking Octantis' and are now building the same 2nd boat called 'Viking Polaris'.
Great tour. It is on the Great Lakes right now and we look forward to seeing it pass thru the Soo Locks while we work on the Original Soo Locks Boat Tour this summer! Maybe next year we will be passengers on the Octantis!
Thank you! I enjoyed this tour. This ship will arrive in our hometown, Toronto tomorrow morning and will pop down to see her. She looks stunning on the inside. Fantastic tour and review.
Seems like a very wonderful ship The food looks so appealing. when you mentioned specifications I thought you would have included the width and length of the ship, you mention the positioning of the smoking area being upwind of deck six but that is just a matter of the direction the wind decided to Blow isn't it? I guess because it's an explorer ship it is more focused on your destination than all the fancy stuff that goes on in the bigger ships
I understand the concept behind the ship but it seems terribly dull. Much much more expensive than the Rotterdam of your previous review but with out the Music Walk, specialty restaurants, casino and many places to hang out. Whatever do you do on a sea day ? The boat rides and waters ports
Manfredi’s offers complimentary specialty dining, and there is a ton presented in The Aula to pass the time. Expedition ships are different animals with excursions offered conveniently from the ship in much more remote places. The destination is the attraction in this case I would say.
Definitely more learning and science-based experiences through lectures, laboratory and field research, and destination excursions... probably not the type of experience for someone looking for a simply fun time... I'm sure it would be fun to go on these expeditions but def more for the person who wants to experience more exploration and education.
@@benjamincatabas9356 Viking in general isn't for people who like to party it up and have a fun time. All of their cruises whether it be river, ocean, or expedition are highly educational/cultural based. They don't care about having all of the fun stuff of other cruise ships.
Please remember to SUBSCRIBE to our channel! ~ Are you interested in taking an expedition cruise on Viking Octantis?
Yes

Booked for Panama Canal and South America in 2024!

Thanks, Jim! Much appreciated!
I truly need to move up a few tax brackets. I love everything about this. Alas I have Viking Tastes on a Carnival Budget. 😉
You're lucky. I don't even have a Carnival budget.

Not just apartment blocks but Soviet apartment blocks! 😂😂

Very cool!
Great experience June of 22 Great Lakes ,beautiful ship.❤
Wow! This is now my #1 bucket list cruise I have to take.

This was just at Duluth recently, perked my interest.
Nicely done, Jason. It was good to finally meet you aboard :)
Thanks! You too!
Great job, Jason! Brilliant tour, as always.
Thanks, John!
"That looks... Fantastic"
SOO excited

When the ship is sailing, the deck would be downwind of the smoking area.
Awesome reivew, now to look up prices 😞😞
Thanks so much!
The ship is beautiful. Exploration ships have come a long way. But it prices out only those with deep pockets.
what a fantastic ship. I want to sail on her.
It's crazy you could double the passenger capacity and still have a passenger space ratio of just under 40, which would still be generous.
Right?! So true!
😎 cool
Muito bonito Viking Octantis Review, auto conforto.
Thank you!
5:32 such a new ship, why so many deck repairs?
🙂
Looks like a military wayland alien ship.
Beautiful ship but too rich for my blood.😮😳

Can be had with shore excursions on other ships.

Rotterdam? Are you kidding? Music Walk? Casino? Couldn't care less. Never find me on a HAL ship again. Once was enough.
Just waiting for them to stop forcing a useless drug into my body. I won't go on any cruise till they see their ignorance.
Oh dear
