My first ever game was Chelsea v Everton 1966, some fond memories, however the running track around the stadium made me feel remote from the action.😔Went to see CRYSTAL PALACE v manu a few years later, much closer to home (Tulse Hill) fell in love with the place and unique atmosphere. Loyal fan ever since. Any regrets 🤔nah! Love Palace, fond of Chesea👍
One of the most changed grounds in history Its amazing to think that after their cup runs of 1970/1 in fa, UEFA cwc comps, Chelsea thought they could afford a £5m stadium redevelopment, but with problems with the east stand plunging Chelsea into so much debt in the 1970s, it took up to 25 years to complete the job, and Ken Bates put Chelsea into a even bigger debt than what they had when he bought them out in 1982, but Stamford bridge is unrecognisable today from the 1970s
I went to a few matches at Stamford Bridge back in the 1982-83 season. Including Chelsea 1 - 4 Rotherham United, an attendance of just 6,000! Up the Chelsea 👍⚽🏆🐅
Spent all my youth going to see chelsea play from 1968 then I took my son love this ground
I'm so in love with this stadium. Hope I will join a Chelsea match one day.
It's been 2 years. Anything yet?
1:40 must've been sick watching from the roof
People are talking about our low 80s attendances, but every club goes through that I'm sure
2.29 ,how I remember the bridge, changed much since then. 1977. Better times watching football.
CHELSEA IS MY TEAM, A GREAT- GREAT TEAM WITH FANTASIC GROUND******

1:01 It says "circa 1921" yet Earls Court Exhibition Centre is visible in the background, which was not built until about 1935.
