That moose is just a couple years into adulthood and to interact with them if they’ve just shown up is extremely dangerous. More people get killed by moose than bears in Alaska nearly every year. The only way this would possibly be safe is if the moose came across the people when it was a calf and it lost its mother where the family became its surrogate mother. Even then it is still a wild animal and anyone going near it or interacting with it needs to have a deep understanding of animal behaviors along with different signs of its demeanor changing and finally ways to not act in a threatening manner (which can drastically vary for each type of animal). Having a spot for them to get warm out of an extremely harsh winter is a good thing and then having hay or other types of plant materials they can eat when the snow is too deep that they can’t find food in a singular spot would be the safest way to ensure the moose doesn’t become too used to humans in case it doesn’t stick around a rural homestead all year. If it tries to go get the same from another human it could end up in the human or even the moose being injured or killed. We had a mother moose that would bring her calves on our property at the beginning of “spring”/breakup for the entire summer for 2-3 years before coming back with fresh baby calves the on the 3rd or 4th year. She was fairly used to us but we wouldn’t ever get close or try to physically interact with them so that they stand the greatest chance of survival out in the wild. We would cut down some pine branches from our trees when they came on the property and neighboring areas to each year when the snow hadn’t receded to let them eat grass and the leaves hadn’t started to sprout on the trees. A major reason they came to our house was the natural spring in our back yard and when it was still frozen we would put out a trough with a small heater under it to ensure the water would be consumable for them when they showed up.
They're huge and very dangerous and can run extremely fast. Pretty much dead if you hit it with your car as well. Please never get too close to any wildlife. I honestly just watched a video of a moose chasing a bear around and through the water. It almost looks like a horse at first glance. The bear was so scared that it jumped through a window to get away from the moose. So please be careful...,. 🥺
@@user-og1wd6fi6bYes..you most definitely CAN say that. Because a "giant murder deer" is a pretty accurate description for a moose. There is literally no way that moose was taken out of the wild as a full grown bull moose having "survived many hunters" and is that timid to where it can be fed by hand.

He said you get closer 😂 why you outside? Don't you know it cold 😂😂😂
He's amazing. I would be in my glory. I love all critters.
That moose is gorgeous. I wish I lived near that kind of wildlife. I see a deer ever now and then but I'd love to see other large wildlife
Mountain lions, cougars, and panthers work for you?
Be inside tiny windows.
😮 When they are healthy, they are seriously dangerous and unpredictable.
The most timid bull moose I've ever seen lol
You know it's cold when even the moose doesn't want to go out lol
Soo precious! ❤️
