Fantastic stuff, thanks so much. At present I have a love/hate relationship with Linuxcnc. I know it will eventually turn into a full on love relationship but getting there can be hard.
So much searching for answers on how to do stuff, and so much stuff on the forum requires you to already have certain knowledge. Thanks to your video this part becomes "easy when you know how". Couldn't sleep last night so went into the workshop and got a Gameboy controller out of storage. Not long later I found all the pin codes in PncConf. Shouldn't be long before I have my remote pendant working. Cheers.

oh WOW. THANK YOU! I didn't know this config existed. Now I can test it in my VM ( I virtualized the machine from the backup I have ) and test it with the xbox controller that came with my oculus that I also don't use. And if I do find any USB job remotes at a good price I'll get some.

Sudo is "substitute user do," basically "execute something with someone else's privledges."

Short for sudo-masochism that feeling you get when you have to code anything behind the GUI in linux. Or as i was told Super User do.
