Me too, I had the best ending and it was so depressing but incredibly beautiful. I remember him saying, in the camp, something about "face me to the west so I can see the setting sun & remember all the good times we had" which made the ending so much better. It left us a few seconds and we saw him looking in the suns direction. So, I believe he was indeed able to remember all of the good times he had.
@@OxtlawX it’s alright it’s very overrated and the game is way to easy don’t let the fanboys fool you it’s def a good game and looks amazing but it’s very overrated and there’s a lot of better games imo but hey maybe u might rlly like it and think it’s perfect 🤷♂️
arthur i thought he was a bad guy in the beginning but now i now think about it and he was never a bad guy he was more of a sad man who tried to help his people even though no one helped him in the end and for that he is a hero yes somtimes he isn't but in the end he is.
he is still a bad man friend, he spent 20 years robbing/killing and just doing crimes with dutch, we as the player only see 1-2 years of his life, where he started to "change" and question himself, is he a good man? no far from it, is he a very bad man? no, but he tried to redeem himself and succeeded I suppose, one of the most Memorable characters in Rockstar games.
Arthur was never a bad man. Arthur was a good man doing bad things for good reasons. Eventually he stopped doing bad, and was true to himself. He did good.
I have a cousin who’s got dementia and he loves playing games, I introduced him to RDR2 and he’s okay with it a little forgetful but I watched him beat the game and he cried massively and a few weeks later he called me up and said ARTHUR DIED. The emotion in his voice broke me knowing he loves this game and will play it forever. Living through the first time trauma over and over again but I’m a little jealous ❤
There never well be another game like red dead redemption unless it’s red dead 3 I hope I see the day when it comes out I grew up playing it when I was 11 I am now 23 I have played the red dead 2 story probably a hundred times you can’t describe the love and soul that game has it is truely a work of art 🖼️
I dont think Arthur was never bad, he is just a child soldier manipulated by dutch to do what he says, he was raised by ducth when he was just a kid, and arthur even says that he doesn't enjoy killing nor robbing but he does what he has to do to provide for his family, and Micah in the contrary does enjoy robbing and killing, ig thats what the games tries to tell, the thin line between a good man who finally wakes up and a straight up bad man.
This is a very good take, he was born into hard circumstances, difference is he felt remorse for his sins while Micah did not. There’s a quote from parthurnaax in Skyrim that hits quite deep “What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?
Truth was Arthur was broken his whole life he didn’t have many options to choose from yet he still tried to set things right for others so they could have a better life
And hopefully you got better my man. I'm personally going through a whole lot and Arthur is literally the only thing reminding me to do the right thing.
Arthur never cared for himself he did everything in his power for the good of others, as the plot goes along we slowly realise that Arthur was never in it for the money
I wish that I could experience rdr2 for the 1st time all over again.

Bro I need this too just listening to it and thinking about the time i played the game and sobbing to it
I still feel the connection to aurthur. Even after 4 years
Sad part is that John Forgot about him Not even a mention Of Arthur In RDR1 He’ll always be the best RDR Protagonist Right Beside John
"I don't talk about him much, but I think of him often." John to Mary Beth.
We’ll be did tell John not too look back
it would be cool to see rdr1 have mentions of Arthur but the red dead series in everything it's years ahead of its time both games.
that artwork is literally me choosing a career for the university
