    I was "wowed' by this video and information. I was born in Pike County and learned some of this in school, but you forget things over the years. It was good to take a refresher course through this video.

    Did the recent flood affect this place?

      Some of the southern third of the county flooded pretty badly, but the worst flooding was in counties just to the south, like Letcher, Knott, and Perry counties.

      @@pikevillehistorymoments7860 Thanks I been looking at properties the eastern side is nice but maybe a little more work to live there...not sure about the weather except a lot of rain..
