  • Dan Novak and Ashley Thompson host today's Learning English show.
Monday is a national holiday in the United States. It honors George Washington, America's first president. But many people call it President's Day and consider it a recognition of all those who have served in the office. Ashley Thompson explains.
Next: Bryan Lynn presents the LE Science and Technology Report. He tells about a new study warning of the possible collapse of an Atlantic Ocean current system. Such an event could cause worldwide climate changes, particularly major temperature drops across Europe. Then, Bryan joins Dan Novak in the studio to answer some questions about his report.
And finally: The LE Lesson of the Day. Andrew Smith and Jill Robbins base their instruction on the LE video series Let's Learn English. Today's study session includes seven new expressions in English!
Dan and Ashley close the show.
