If you have a 98cc the process is different. The jackshaft installed first from TC kit. Then, engine is moved to line up to driven pulley with adjustable motor mount. With the stock engine, you don't move engine, we use a custom adjustable jackshaft we are working on kits. Either method requires the TC kit with pulleys. $60.00 on ebay or amazon.
@phatmotocat I live close to you where you live I believe. What size of jet do you use on that 98cc engine. Getting antsy to buy it but my stock gets up to 36 mph with a few mods I did to it. Plan to get the billet for the 98cc also
@@MichaelLasley-m5d The VM19 has the stock jet, .69 ..it came with junk inside had to clean out. There are no aftermarket parts for the 98cc engine yet that I know of. Perhaps some 79cc Predator parts may work not sure on this. I'm in Pueblo. Which Phatmoto model you have?
@@MichaelLasley-m5d Cool man. We are working on one with 79cc. The AT wider than Rover. With the movable motor mounts, the 98 should work but haven't done one yet. It may work even better than the Rover. I will try to help. Which county you live?
@@phatmotocatthere's a company that used to sell a kit like this, 24hr fun, and they seemed to come to the same solution of using the jackshaft for the torque converter instead of the stock backing plate.
@@KoroWerks Comet has been making torque converters for many years. Adapting to the Phatmoto is challenging due to the fact of being from China and Comet parts are SAE. Sourcing wholesale parts also a challenge. Discouraging.

isn't it better to install the Torque Converter on the engine?
I tried fitting the TC plate with engine. I could see no practical way to do it. This method easier and works the same. Thanks.
