The problem with Shaw is, he performs great up until the selection to the national team and finally when he has to perform at the international stage, he drastically falls short. There is no point in criticizing the national selectors of India. Gill, Jaiswal are all in the same age bracket and are getting chances while Prithvi is not.

If you check our indian cricket you will see many players are inconsistent but they gets chances. Sehwag, Laxman, Rohit, Ishan, pant, Gill and many were/are inconsistent but management supported them.
