Wiw! Loved that bit about needing his commanding officer to give him the order to stand down. Then the debrief. And the pardon. I wish I could have been there to see it all!
Suzuki sounds like an interesting character. I wonder if his fatal attempted trek through the himalayas has enough intrigue or documentation for a video. Great as always, keep it up.
He served his country honorably and was lucky enough to go to a school that taught him how to survive rather than get himself killed in a banzai charge. It’s good that he was still able to live a long life after being saved from the jungle.
Teruo Nakamura was actually the last surrendering Japanese soldier, although he was Taiwanese. He held out another 9 months after Onoda before being arrested on Morotai Island in Indonesia.
Kenji deserves more views for these banger videos man
That's about as honorable as you can get. 🙏
after being in such rough conditions for 30 year he still lived up to 91. Thats insane
Man, the Japanese are built different. Over here living until 91 after spending 30 years in the jungle while Americans struggle to get out of bed lmao
So true, my fat ass has trouble getting out of bed at the age of 17 LMAO
@@JacksonWalker-r6hmy fatass audibly goes “FEE FI FO FUM” EACH TIME I WALK
Rest In Peace Suzuki & Onoda

Oh and nice video! What a story :O
Also in a 1965 episode of Gilligan's Island which is weird because he wasn't even found yet 😮
Wonderful story of the mind of a man of country

Some of the people in lubang still hated that man because he and his comrade would attack innocent civilians .
