I enjoy traveling solo, because I love traveling and won't let others availability affect that. Being an introvert helps too, because I enjoy my own company. Lots of great points about safety! Traveling is an adventure in the end, and there will always be risks as with most things in life ✨
Honestly I wish I had been brave enough to solo travel sooner! I've missed out on so many opportunities because I couldn't find anyone to do things with but never again!
I went to a tiny fancy restaurant on my last evening in Paris. Most people had to make reservations but I was given a table outside pretty quickly. I never realised it was because I was solo!
It’s such a cool advantage! They can always squeeze in a party of one 😊
These are great tips! I definitely noticed that I’ve met more people and interacted more when traveling alone. And you’re absolutely right about how critical it is to not get lost in the moment and mention exactly where you’re staying or other personal info. Sadly creepers often work in pairs and will have a woman help lure people in…sooo disturbing! My favorite solo trip was Thailand and Malaysia a few years back. Absolutely life changing. And I met so many wonderful people.

Thanks for sharing your tips! Weirdly enough I don't trust Ubers and the like (too many horror stories in the US), and would rather go for a taxi, but you make a good point.
Did you travel with any thing to stay safe like a whistle or door stop?
