Some breathtaking scenery once again. Loved that standing stone. Look like you are having the best time. Loving optimistic CCTV. Gets you out of bed and then you realise the brutal truth🤣. Safe travels
Hi. If you own a peat bog you can use it for personal use only. They cut and rest it for as long as it takes to dry and then it's rock hard and ready to be burnt. They wouldn't use it for gardening as firstly its full of organic materials that may not be good for cultivating plant life and its to valuable a fuel. There is also plenty of dirt around. Hope that helps.
Thanks guys, more stunning coastal views and well done Jane for recognising the phormiums from New Zealand, I guess you saw plenty from your trip there.
You've brought back the memories of sitting in my wife's cousin's house in Westport Mayo, the smell of a peat fire and a hot whiskey. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I have to be honest, I'm loving the Ireland videos, they make me feel good inside watching the two of you on you travels around our small island, I'm hoping you still have a few more videos to show, anyway I just wanted to say I hope you both continuing your travels and enjoying life , so stay safe 🙏🏻🇮🇪👍🏻
Forgive me so the NZ plant we referred to is actually or was used extensively throughout Ireland then - I thought they were just ornamental Very interesting
Unwritten rule here... You never steal a man's turf in the winter. You can steal his woman...he can always get another woman but he can't get more turf😅

Irish linen was a major industry at one time, hence the flax.
So the NZ plant was used commercially then - how interesting we thought it was ornamental
The reason we have a lot of Flax plants in Ireland is due to the centuries old tradition of making Irish Linen from the seeds. 😉
Forgive me so the NZ plant we referred to is actually or was used extensively throughout Ireland then - I thought they were just ornamental
Very interesting
Before peat Turf we would freeze to Death
I love the smell and warmth it gives and on ppls doorstep do others have forests I guess
