***PLEASE READ ME!*** Hi all! Sorry to yell but I needed to get your attention lol. In case you don’t follow me on IG or read my descriptions, I wanted to give a little update: I think I may have just gotten a bad batch with these cremes! Some friends on IG mentioned these were opaque in 2 coats for them and even had buttery/creamy formulas! 😮 I think I just got unlucky with my set 💔 so just take my review with a grain of salt! 😅 for what it’s worth, if you did like these shades I do think they’re worth picking up bc you have a good chance of getting great formulas but IF yours are similar to mine, I’m sure ILNP’s customer service will make it right 💗

I bought last years "neon" creams and was extremely disappointed in them. Very bad application. Extremely patchy and hard to apply. They also did not level well. I won't pick these up due to my experience in lasts years polishes. I don't think you got a bad batch...
Yeah I was going to come back here and comment 😅 because I received mine today and I LOVE them! Formulas were a dream to apply and solid 2 coats for sure. I hope you can pick up another set so you can enjoy these luscious polishes! 💕💕😀🌈
@@livwithbiv I think they are between a crelly and creme but I got solid coverage in 2 coats. I love my set! Maybe PR bottles were funky for some reason? Other than opacity, did you find them nice to apply? I think floating a slightly heavier second coat may do the trick. Maybe you can pick up another set so you can compare. 💕☺️
I’m not crazy about these polishes but I am very excited about the brush change, I do hope they will switch over altogether. It’s a mystery to me why some brands stubbornly stick to that stupid straight-edged brush. If you want to keep it skinny, then fine, but round the tip! [brush rant is out of control]. Thank you for a great review once again, I appreciate your thoroughness and the comparisons!
I couldn’t agree more!! From what I saw they seem to only be changing the brush for creme shades :/ I think once more people try them they’ll get a lot more feedback to switch brushes eventually! Surprisingly I don’t mind their current brush, I guess I’ve gotten used to it and prefer it compared to the usually skinny brushes 🙈
I am SO in love with the theme and the color story of this collection! 😍 Such a bummer that they are not fully opaque cremes though. I think if they had marketed them as crelly’s instead it would not disappoint people as much. But I still love them! I’ll be getting this collection for sure!

It's giving retro arcade, Pac-Man, etc. and as an '80s baby, I love the theme/color story. 🤗🤗 When I heard the news ILNP were doing cremes, I was like really? since their last summer collection was kinda crelly (and people had complaints about the formula then too), and their formula is usually thin, or jelly. I just didn't expect them to be committed to the creme, considering.... and welp, lol. I love crellies so this collection works for me. Am really glad about Ink. I've wanted a brand new OCB and that is def. going in the cart! Also love Hi Score and Turbocharged --- at least there's some Cirque dupes for those who missed out/want to wait till Black Friday/had their older Vices already faded (oh no!), and/or want a more affordable option. Thanks for the comparisons and honesty as always😊😊

I think they nailed capturing the aesthetic 👾 and oh wow, maybe I misremembered what people were saying about the Poolside formulas 😅 that’s disappointing to hear a lot of people didn’t like those formulas either (but I guess it made sense when ilnp mentioned they would be reformulating poolside to fit their new studio color line). I definitely understand specialty finishes being thinner and needing 3 coats but idk for creams I think there’s no reason they should need more than 2 😝 obviously unless it’s meant to be a crelly, but I don’t think these were described that way at all 😵💫 I’m hoping I’ll enjoy whatever future cremes they release though! At least for me, the ILNP formula runs on the thin side but usually builds up just fine. I love that their polishes are also nicely affordable when compared to a lot of other brands. It has been a great gateway brand into the nail polish world and all the unique finishes you can find. Edit: It is a bit disappointing that you probably couldn't easily use these for some retro arcade nail art.
Oh for sure! I’m definitely understanding of the fact that specialty finish polishes tend to require 3 coats for maximum effect & opacity, but I figured they wouldn’t make their cremes to be as thin 😅 unless they intended for these to be crellies, but I doubt that since they’re advertised as cremes. I think if these were labeled “crelly” nobody would blink an eye. I happen to like crellies and the bounciness they give. I’m not really surprised that they’re far more crelly. They really focus on speciality finishes which require some translucence in their formula. If I pick any up, I won’t be disappointed knowing what I’m getting. Thank you for the honest review! 😊
That’s such a good point! I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they’re still figuring out the formula. 😅 but I do hope you’ll enjoy these, they’re still such fun shades!! 👾🕹️🧡
I actually like this collection and will be still getting it. I do think starrily has the neon collection to beat in 2023. That collection is insanely good.

I LOVE ILNP! But I didn’t love this collection! Like you, I was expecting amazing cremes because they are awesome with their other finishes! It’s almost impossible not to expect that after all those great polishes of the past! I did think the color story was a bit all over the place. I confess I am not and never was a part of that scene! Don’t hate me those of you who were! To each their own!!! Well, as I said, there was one winner in this vid. You, Stefanie! As I mentioned in my last comment, you always do all you can to showcase a brand and their polishes when it’s appropriate to do so. You do a great job of it and this collection was no exception. I really appreciate the honesty, Stephanie. I think we’re all excited to see ILNP put out a line of creams, but you’re being realistic about the formula. The streaky issue is an odd one for a cream, for sure! Now I’m wondering if I’ve ever used an actual cream, though! I think my whole collection is crellies, special effects and jellies and I need some good creams. I’ll def still be picking up a later release of ILNP studio colors bc this isn’t a deal breaker, these colors just aren’t speaking to me right now
thats good to know! i actually saw a lot of people on instagram saying they had great 2 coat coverage with these so it was kinda weird. I think its best to do slightly thicker coats with these for better coverage!
Stefani you are really giving us an experience here! Your outfit, your hair...all of it! I have noticed this before but I needed to finally mention it, bc I know it takes time and money to do all that! As for the polishes, I like the shades for sure but we can get those in two coat formulas from other brands. I do still love ILNP though:-)

I‘m so excited for this one! I probably won’t get vaporwave because it looks so similar to the neon pink/reddish polish that China Glaze just came out with. I think I might be heavy handed with my coats because, almost no ILNP polishes have been 3 coaters for me 😂

Stefanie you channel the vibes perfectly halfway through the video I started wondering if you wear your roller skates 🤭. High Score is my clear favorite and yes, we are one step closer to a neon teal. I am kind of surprised but then also not so surprised over the formula, it is not as if ILNP has a lot of history of mixing very saturated polishes (at least in my perception). I love the opacity of the black, it looks like the perfect polish to do some stamping over it‘s pals. And btw I have the new Abandoned Boardwalk and it is the worst stainer of the Northern Hemisphere on me despite two coats of base coat. As always thank you so much for such a great video 💖

Absolutely!! .....color club has some great neon colors.....cherry ice (from their summer 2021collection) and unique from their K' Laurelle X Color Club collection (from 2022 I think) are super bright red/orange neons....they have a great formula, they have a paddle brush and are not expensive it's such an underrated brand.
I sort of expect to build to 3 coats with ILNP but I do agree that maybe they could've been marketed differently? I personally don't care about formulas for neons because I usually just sponge gradients and almost never wear alone..like stamping, etc. but that's me. Love some of those colors..that black would probably stamp great too! As always, love all the comps you take the time to do...really sets you apart
oh yes i think these colors would be so fun for nail art!! i’m not a stamper but i def agree about the black haha. I think these may have been a fluke though; quite a few others on IG have told me their experiences were much better with these formulas! buttery, opaque in 2 coats. so that seems more true to their marketing lol. but thank you so much!! so glad you appreciate the comparisons :)
I love ILNP's and Mooncat nail polishes and their customer service is the best! Cirque colors is the exact opposite - they do not stand behind their products and never even responded to my large polish order and the problems I encountered. I will never order from them again. Thanks for sharing.

Darn, sucks that it wasn’t a home run, but since so many of their polishes are fabulous, I hope they figure out the formula quickly and start making great cremes! Great comparisons and swatches as always!
I honestly think I may have gotten a bad batch!! A few other people have commented on my IG post that they had buttery smooth formulas and were opaque in 2 coats, so i think there’s some hope haha. but yeah I also hope this won’t be an issue moving forward, I don’t want to be disappointed by one of my fav brands! 🙈

I'm not really interested in cremes from indies haha I actually don't mind crelly formulas but would probably be more excited about jellies! At least ILNP is as affordable as boutique/indies get
thats totally fair lol theres def a lot we can get from mainstream brands, but i find indies usually have a bigger color selection and usually a better formula. but omg yes i’m with you on the jellies!! & true ILNP’s price point just can’t be beat!

Turbocharged and Vaporwave are beautiful colors. Really eye catching. I don’t own any polishes from this brand. From what I’ve seen, most of their polishes require 3 coats and I’m not a fan of that. I like to see what they come up with though😊

I saw ILNP’s video about 4 days ago (I think it was accidentally released early on youtube) and…I was kind of underwhelmed and that was just the color story. I don’t get the black for summer. I like the blue and aqua, but I do already have those colors in my collection. arcade” I’d have expected a flashy topper! I hope they continue to add that paddle brush to collections. I’d sure love to have that brush for my other ILNP collections.
Yeah they made a bold decision going with the black for this release!! 😬 I get how it can fit with the arcade theme but it def could’ve also been a fun flashy topper like you said which would be more suitable for summer! And totally agree, loveee these paddle brushes! But I think I read in a comment under one of their recent posts that these are just for their cremes and all other boutique effects will keep the existing brush :/
ILNP is best known for their unique finishes. And while I'll continue to enjoy the Cirque Colors I already own, I'll no longer purchase from them ever again. I think ILNP is making a huge mistake by advertising crellies as cremes. These are pretty and interesting if I don't think of them as cremes. I understand the black because it's a new finish for them. I may get a few. Thank you for the swatches! I always look forward to your videos!

Cirque Colors Once Upon a Time Drag Queen Story Hour. ...People need to research and actually see some of the videos that are floating around. It's crazy. They need to see for themselves. These shows are all EXTREMELY adult in nature. Years ago, to survive and provide for my two kids, I used to sew and sell bikinis, and also costumes to strippers and drag queens at Myrtle Beach. I made a friend during that time who was a drag queen. He helped my kids and I. He became my best friend, and we kept in contact. Actually, he was very passionate about this. He's a parent himself. ...It's not about transphobia. It's not about boys experimenting with makeup. (Who cares anyways?) It's about protecting our children. This works both ways too. I'm also not okay with strippers putting on shows and showing their xxxx to school kids. Besides, this thing isn't even a charity. Biden fully funded this farce. I'm an active supporter against human trafficking and predators. In the past, I've taken in women and children into my own home to help keep them safe, just like my friend did for me. I do not need to support this company. Adult themes need to stay with adults. I know there are plenty who don't care, or who look the other way b/c they want the polish, but I care. Crellies that get fully opaque in two to three coats are perfect for me. I prefer crellies over cremes anyways.

I know we tend to consider cremes an easy formula, but I've noticed that whenever a brand starts doing cremes for the first time, they're not perfect. Oftentimes the polishes are too thick because everyone's expectation is one-coat cremes or sometimes it's inconsistent within a collection (sometimes thin, sometimes thick) because the brand hasn't figured it out yet. I think it takes time to finesse a consistently good creme formula. Anyway, I really like Hi-Score, but I feel like I could skip the others. I don't necessarily hate the crelly formula because sometimes it's better than neon cremes that are so thick that they don't spread evenly. However, at this point I should only purchase creme colors that I don't own yet or formulas that are absolutely no fuss. It seems like these are alright, but not a must need.

Aw I’m sorry you didn’t like Poolside!! I haven’t had the chance to try them but the colors looked perfect so I’d be forgiving of them lol. I do hope they’ll tweak this formula though!

Great Job with the black, but I love the other finishes of ILNP flakies, glitters, holos, metallics, shimmers...not just a cream

I LOVE ILNP! But I didn’t love this collection! Like you, I was expecting amazing cremes because they are awesome with their other finishes! It’s almost impossible not to expect that after all those great polishes of the past! I did think the color story was a bit all over the place. I confess I am not and never was a part of that scene! Don’t hate me those of you who were! To each their own!!! Well, as I said, there was one winner in this vid. You, Stefanie! As I mentioned in my last comment, you always do all you can to showcase a brand and their polishes when it’s appropriate to do so. You do a great job of it and this collection was no exception. I really appreciate the honesty, Stephanie. I think we’re all excited to see ILNP put out a line of creams, but you’re being realistic about the formula. The streaky issue is an odd one for a cream, for sure!
Now I’m wondering if I’ve ever used an actual cream, though! I think my whole collection is crellies, special effects and jellies and I need some good creams. I’ll def still be picking up a later release of ILNP studio colors bc this isn’t a deal breaker, these colors just aren’t speaking to me right now

thats good to know! i actually saw a lot of people on instagram saying they had great 2 coat coverage with these so it was kinda weird. I think its best to do slightly thicker coats with these for better coverage!

I have noticed this before but I needed to finally mention it, bc I know it takes time and money to do all that! As for the polishes, I like the shades for sure but we can get those in two coat formulas from other brands. I do still love ILNP though:-)

I‘m so excited for this one! I probably won’t get vaporwave because it looks so similar to the neon pink/reddish polish that China Glaze just came out with.
I think I might be heavy handed with my coats because, almost no ILNP polishes have been 3 coaters for me 😂

Stefanie you channel the vibes perfectly halfway through the video I started wondering if you wear your roller skates 🤭. High Score is my clear favorite and yes, we are one step closer to a neon teal. I am kind of surprised but then also not so surprised over the formula, it is not as if ILNP has a lot of history of mixing very saturated polishes (at least in my perception). I love the opacity of the black, it looks like the perfect polish to do some stamping over it‘s pals. And btw I have the new Abandoned Boardwalk and it is the worst stainer of the Northern Hemisphere on me despite two coats of base coat. As always thank you so much for such a great video 💖

The purple and teal colors kind of remind me of Kelli Marissa's ORLY Collab last year. Those were jelly polishes though.

Absolutely!! .....color club has some great neon colors.....cherry ice (from their summer 2021collection) and unique from their K' Laurelle X Color Club collection (from 2022 I think) are super bright red/orange neons....they have a great formula, they have a paddle brush and are not expensive it's such an underrated brand.
I sort of expect to build to 3 coats with ILNP but I do agree that maybe they could've been marketed differently? I personally don't care about formulas for neons because I usually just sponge gradients and almost never wear alone..like stamping, etc. but that's me. Love some of those colors..that black would probably stamp great too! As always, love all the comps you take the time to do...really sets you apart

I love ILNP's and Mooncat nail polishes and their customer service is the best! Cirque colors is the exact opposite - they do not stand behind their products and never even responded to my large polish order and the problems I encountered. I will never order from them again. Thanks for sharing.

Darn, sucks that it wasn’t a home run, but since so many of their polishes are fabulous, I hope they figure out the formula quickly and start making great cremes! Great comparisons and swatches as always!
I honestly think I may have gotten a bad batch!! A few other people have commented on my IG post that they had buttery smooth formulas and were opaque in 2 coats, so i think there’s some hope haha. but yeah I also hope this won’t be an issue moving forward, I don’t want to be disappointed by one of my fav brands! 🙈

so gorgeous right? and sadly I don’t have Retail Therapy, but I would guess it leans even more pink than Vaporwave! Even though that can lean hot pink, it can also pull red (esp next to another hot pink lol)
I'm not really interested in cremes from indies haha I actually don't mind crelly formulas but would probably be more excited about jellies! At least ILNP is as affordable as boutique/indies get
thats totally fair lol theres def a lot we can get from mainstream brands, but i find indies usually have a bigger color selection and usually a better formula. but omg yes i’m with you on the jellies!! & true ILNP’s price point just can’t be beat!
I'd be curious to see turbocharged next to oh my gourd. HTs orange looks neon to me but im sure it's probably not as neon 🤷♀️
oh those are way different for sure! HT’s is definitely a bright orange but yeah it’s not as fluorescent or eye searing as Turbocharged 😝 you can DM me on IG and I can send you a side by side if you want!

Turbocharged and Vaporwave are beautiful colors. Really eye catching. I don’t own any polishes from this brand. From what I’ve seen, most of their polishes require 3 coats and I’m not a fan of that. I like to see what they come up with though😊
Yeah aren’t they so fun?? They really are electric neons haha. But yeah ILNP formulas tend to require 3 coats which I know can be a deal breaker for some! I’m usually forgiving of it bc specialty finishes tend to look better/more layered with the extra coat, but for cremes I think they should be 2 coats max 😝 I’m glad you enjoy their collection themes though! They really are so fun 😍
I saw ILNP’s video about 4 days ago (I think it was accidentally released early on youtube) and…I was kind of underwhelmed and that was just the color story. I don’t get the black for summer. I like the blue and aqua, but I do already have those colors in my collection. arcade” I’d have expected a flashy topper! I hope they continue to add that paddle brush to collections. I’d sure love to have that brush for my other ILNP collections.
Yeah they made a bold decision going with the black for this release!! 😬 I get how it can fit with the arcade theme but it def could’ve also been a fun flashy topper like you said which would be more suitable for summer! And totally agree, loveee these paddle brushes! But I think I read in a comment under one of their recent posts that these are just for their cremes and all other boutique effects will keep the existing brush :/
I think black goes well with neons for nail art. it makes the neon pop when it's next to black.
ILNP is best known for their unique finishes. And while I'll continue to enjoy the Cirque Colors I already own, I'll no longer purchase from them ever again. I think ILNP is making a huge mistake by advertising crellies as cremes. These are pretty and interesting if I don't think of them as cremes. I understand the black because it's a new finish for them. I may get a few. Thank you for the swatches! I always look forward to your videos!

I'm an active supporter against human trafficking and predators. In the past, I've taken in women and children into my own home to help keep them safe, just like my friend did for me. I do not need to support this company. Adult themes need to stay with adults. I know there are plenty who don't care, or who look the other way b/c they want the polish, but I care.
Crellies that get fully opaque in two to three coats are perfect for me. I prefer crellies over cremes anyways.

I think they made them more a crelly finish because it makes them more glisteny and shiny then cream
That crossed my mind too but these dry down to be semi matte, so you definitely would need a glossy topcoat 😅

I know we tend to consider cremes an easy formula, but I've noticed that whenever a brand starts doing cremes for the first time, they're not perfect. Oftentimes the polishes are too thick because everyone's expectation is one-coat cremes or sometimes it's inconsistent within a collection (sometimes thin, sometimes thick) because the brand hasn't figured it out yet. I think it takes time to finesse a consistently good creme formula.
Anyway, I really like Hi-Score, but I feel like I could skip the others. I don't necessarily hate the crelly formula because sometimes it's better than neon cremes that are so thick that they don't spread evenly. However, at this point I should only purchase creme colors that I don't own yet or formulas that are absolutely no fuss. It seems like these are alright, but not a must need.
