  • I just go the Christensen Arms Ranger 22 back from the factory. I received the rifle back in about a week.Today I am going to test it for the first time since return on the 100 yard line.
If you recall from the first video out of the box I had ejections issues. Christensen did everything right. The got the rifle back replaced the trigger guard which houses the ejector and the bolt due to new design.
You never want to have to use support to ever send a rifle back but if you ever do you want to make sure the organization you are dealing with has great support, and Christensen Arms support was top notch.

Purchased a CA Ranger 22. Had ejection problem as well. CA customer service was great at handling my issues.
Several weeks later...got my Ranger back! FLAWLESS!! I’m sticking with firearms from CHRISTENSEN ARMS!

Got my CA 22lr in August 2023. No ejection problems. The action is so smooth on that gun. It shoots unbelievable groups with SK at 50 yards. I need to start testing it at 100 yards as well.

Thanks for the vid. I wanted to see someone who could handle a rifle put the Christiansen to a test.
My CZ 452 will match that last group with CCI and put 10 shots in a group that size with Eley Target & Eley Club.
My Cooper will shoot a better five shot group every single time with Eley Tenex. The Christiansen ejects much better than my Cooper but then so does every other rimfire manufactured in the last one hundred and twenty years.

That is very good at 100 yards no matter what 22 LR rifle you are shooting. I certainly do admire your pistol shooting. I have shot that sort of thing and I know how hard it is to hit the target.

Great customer service from Christensen Arms. 👍 It definitely looks like it's performing up to the standards you'd expect from a C.A.

Nice shooting! I currently have 2 firearms that need to be sent back to the manufacturer. One is a brand new SA22 by Browning with a damaged chamber that also has a big bur causing failure to eject. The other is a benelli super nova 12ga is hard to cycle even when empty. Both are under a year old, and had issues right out of the box.
Seems like 10yrs ago you would never need to send a firearm back. Now all I can say is inspection is key before you leave the store.

I give it a fair critique ..it is a nice rifle and even better with high price ammo as center x ( $12.-14 a box ? ) .. but I stick to my Anschutz and $5.50 a box SK plus ammo and get better results . good video

Again thanks for the informative and enjoyable video..... and dragging me down the rabbit hole. I have been looking for a lightweight suppressor host with great accuracy for hunting. After considering the Tikka T1x, Bergara BMR Carbon, CZ 457 Synthetic SR, and Lithgow LA 101, I ordered the CA Ranger yesterday. Since it is about impossible to find a spotter weight threaded rifle with a wood stock, so I focused on synthetics based on weight and accuracy. I hope mine performs as well as yours.

The rifle is quite impressive right off the bat. I am sure there is a load it will shoot even tighter.
The pistol is a fine shooter too.
Solid rest, yes. The bench, not so much. 😁

A tip on fine-tune adjusting your elevation (as you do around 9:03). Don't use the mariner wheel as its movement is often too course. Use the rear-most screw/foot of the rest. Turn it in to raise, out to lower. It gives finer control than the mariner wheel.

    • @Master_Mayhem_Official

I had the same issue and had it sent back. Funny thing is, that wasn’t the reason I sent it back. The bolt broke. I sent it for that and not only did they replace that (obviously), they replaced almost all of the internals and now it loads and ejects flawlessly. Didn’t charge me a dime and paid for the shipping. Apparently, the loading and ejecting is the common problem with the Ranger but other than that it’s amazing. It’s a really nice rifle and it’s really light even for a .22. Everyone that has seen my Ranger always tells me it’s a really nice looking rifle and want to try it out lol. You be taken a few friends to the range to try it out and they really love it. Gonna get a bigger scope for it soon lol

Bought one few days ago and it is absolutely garbage. Won’t feed. Won’t eject. Mag that came with it falls out on its own. Used another mag and it gets stuck really bad. Brought back to store and gunsmith looked at it and the extractors were junk they were filed on from factory and looked horrible. And Christensen arms sanded the mag down so it would go in. That’s why another untouched Ruger mag was so tight and got stuck. Got refunded. What a absolute shame. Christensen arms should be embarrassed. Will never even consider them again

Love the channel, have been watching all your vids. Do have a question. I got my CA Ranger 22 a couple weeks ago. Mine has ejection problems 90% of the rounds and a lot of stock slop and wobble around the action with gaps and considerable movement. Newer serial number too. She's been back to CA for a week now. How long did it take you to get yours back? Did they communicate with you? Instructions said they would notify when they received it? Did you get notification? I haven't heard a thing. I've heard they have good customer service but starting to wonder as there has been no communication. Sounds like your experience was different than mine.

Oh my that is worth a video itself LOL. They are so different the trigger on Ranger 22 better than CZ, Accuracy to CZ by a hair, both equally strong in aftermarket with the ranger model the remington 700 and CZ's strong following. I guess it would boil down to use case. I do love the bluing on the CZ much better than the flat black finish of the ranger but I am old school. You would think a question like this would be much easier to answer lol.
