And Nihari is usually morning food in Rawalpindi so that place you were looking for starts at 4 in the morning and ends by 5:30am. There are some places which serves Nihari all day but they are towards other part of city.
dilbar hotel is a legacy of its own. my grand father used to eat there everyday when he used to work in rawalpindi in his time, and then my dad. unfortunately i was never able to visit it myself, but thank you so much brent for making me living through my family's blissful memory through you!

Biryani is a regional dish of the province Sindh and is famous all over Pakistan.Its a combination of rice with meat and alotttt of spices. very tasty but I think would be difficult for foreigners to digest that much spice. Pulao is a regional dish of province Punjab.though it's combination of rice and meat too but its less spicy and is served with mint sauce and salad.in this dish meat stock is prepared first and in the same stock,rice r cooked. I personally like pulao as even little kids can digest it .

Why people don’t accept money or offering food is because of the teachings of Islam. In Islam a guest is a blessing from Allah and if we treat a guest well then it means we pleased Allah
