    Thank you CJ. Toronto has amazing bicycle infrastructure. I once owned a Linear, Peter builds nice bikes.

      Thanks! Toronto Bike Infrastructure has come a long way in the time since I moved here, but still has a long way to go (especially outside the downtown core).

    Again a great bike tour combining sightseeing and the view on the traffic.
    This time it shows quite a reasonable bike-infrastructure, looks way better than in the last one of your videos i've seen.
    IKEA seems to be close to the city and looks more like a retail than a furniture shop.
    Listening your Narration is fun. Regards from germany.

    Terrific ride video CJ!!! The ride looks fabulous, a lot of fun and you are going at a good pace!! I'd love it is Vancouver had "The Door Is Open!!" It sounds really interesting and fun. I haven't been to an IKEA yet. They don't have any anywhere near where I live. Looks like an interesting store to go to! That's a neat idea to have all of your overnight oats ready to go for a whole month. That's a big Silver Maple! Did you ever visit the Silver Maple tree in Toronto that inspired Alexander Muir to write his song "The Maple Leaf Forever"? I believe the tree fell down in 2013, but I've heard they still have a plaque there. Alexander Muir was my fourth cousin, my Grandmother's second cousin.

    • @cjhoyle
      @cjhoyle  2 года назад +2

      No, I had actually never heard of that tree. A Siver Maple that was considered impressive back in the 1800's must have been enormous by 2013! I will definitely swing by some time and check the plaque.

      @@adventureswithjosie You should definitely make a list! The first time I visited NYC I had a very long list of the places I wanted to see. Also, wouldn't your Grandmother's second cousin be considered your second Cousin twice removed?

      @@cjhoyle Yes perhaps you are right. I never thought of that. I was told fourth cousin but that's probably not correct. Might be fourth generation they were meaning.

    When you turned left on University and College, I worked at the glass building you waited by. I worked at Intact Insurance in the mailroom. If you go down the subway stairs there's a nice Tims, under that building is a decent food court and a Swiss Chalet, and if you had gone right instead of left and then hung a left on the street behind the building there's a Krispy Kreme

    its always funny/infuriating to see how many cyclists blow through reds at every stop.

    • @cjhoyle
      @cjhoyle  2 года назад +2

      Believe it or not, I very rarely see people "blow through" red lights. What I see most commonly is people come to a complete stop, observe their surroundings, and then proceed through the intersection before the light turns green because they have deemed it safe to do so. There are actually some jurisdictions where that is completely legal for people riding bikes to do.
