iRO-Thor: Inquisitor at the Thanatos Tower

In the records of history and whispers of legend, the origins of Thanatos Tower remain shrouded in mystery. The most widely accepted belief is that the tower was constructed to commemorate the legendary magic wielding swordsman, Thanatos, who triumphed over the Demon King Surt. Surt, an ancient jotunn, wreaked havoc across the Norman world during the Thousand-Year War. The legends tell of a grueling battle where Thanatos fought Surt for ten days and nights before sealing the demon in the desolate southern Rune-Midgarts desert.
Today, Thanatos Tower stands as an awe-inspiring monument, but it was nothing more than crumbling ruins when rediscovered by the Rekenber Corporation. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, the corporation embarked on an ambitious project to restore all thirteen floors of the tower and delve into its ancient secrets, continuing the artifact research initiated by the esteemed Sage Varmundt.
Thus far, Rekenber has managed to restore the lower levels of the tower, opening them to the public and using the admission fees from curious tourists to fund ongoing renovations. However, their efforts took a dark turn when a bizarre flash of lightning, bright enough to be seen from Einbroch, struck the tower's pinnacle. Eyewitness accounts differ, but the catastrophic event left only a handful of survivors, all of whom claim they were attacked by Demons or Angels.
Despite the tragedy, the Rekenber Corporation remains undeterred, relentlessly pursuing their mission to unlock the tower's mysteries, undaunted by the dangers that lie ahead.
