- One of the key strategies we are engaging in as we enter into life in the apartments is prayer walking. Prayer walking is both an art and a science.
A science in that there is some strategy and research that helps to focus our understanding of need and God’s heart in a culture.
An art in that it is a process of learning to discern what God is doing and following His movements with fast obedience.
In this video, I unpack 5 focused prayer points that give our prayer walks a framework to listen and respond to Jesus around. These 5 points were developed by Bruce Carlton in Cambodia years ago.
When he trains missionaries to enter new fields, he encourages them to pray for:
⛅️ Open Heavens
❤️ Open Hearts
🏠 Open Homes
🛣 Open Highways
🖐 Open Hands
Watch the video to learn what these are and how to prayer walk in your neighborhood.

Thank you. Good tips
Thanks for the comment Linda. Blessings!
Exactly brother. Here in the field the Father has had me walking the land and praying his heart over the people every Friday for the last 2 years. Key question for us is 'Abba what do you want me to pray for the people this morning?' Love it!
Bro. I just got what your talking about here. I've prayer- walked before, but always felt like a fish out of water. Now I realize that I wasn't engaging with my surroundings and what God might be wanting to do there. Also I can add direction to my prayers by praying for OPEN heavens, hearts, highways, homes, and hands. Thanks so much!
James Miller thanks for the message James! Encourages us to hear the feedback. Come on Jesus 🔥
