They should've hired this man just for keeping his cool and his quick thinking. He could have easily called them out for messing up, but he didn't. Nice one, Guy Goma. 👏👏
A little backstage fun fact. I used to work at a Tv Chanel and I can Tell you that all reporters, news anchors etc (people who are live on tv) wear an Intercom earbud and the producer can talk to them directly So probably they told her that they have to cut away immediatly. Btw it's a lot of fun to work on a live show I realy loved it
I think this is a pretty good example how hosts ask loaded questions all the time. Which is good if you're this guy, you can just go "exactly!" and repeat everything the host said 😂
However, nice answer: ''Actually, if you can go everywhere you're gonna see lot of people downloading through Internet and the website, everything they want. But I think is much better for development and...eh...to improve people what they want, and to get on the easy way, and so faster the things they looking for.'' That's what the big IT corporations are doing now.
His face very quickly goes from surprise, to worrying he's in trouble to then thinking 'sod it, I'm gonna busk this and be preserved on telly for the rest of time. Also I'm not about to ruin this live TV broadcast.' It's quick thinking!
The fact the BBC never hired this guy tells me everything about them, he genuinely thought all of that up under pressure and made it sound like a believable broadcast (which it was to be fair)
The thing is he wasn't wrong with his answers and essentially summed up the way music consumption would head going in the future. The BBC should've given him the damn job!
The real irony is that BBC lady who is interviewing Guy Coma knows a lot less about the topic than Guy Coma himself. Yet, she is the one probably making a six-figure salary, and Guy Coma is jobless. That's how life works!
The guy is a legend, but I imagine this kind of experience is in fact a typical working day for many of us… Turning up unprepared and out of our depth. Not knowing what the hell we are doing. Styling it out, blagging it and hoping nobody noticed at the end of the whole ordeal. Yep… Just another day at the office. 😂
He showed up for a job interview for IT and they put him on camera because they thought he was the African born tech expert they had scheduled. No one bothered to confirm who he was.
Hope he got paid for this interview. Because honestly, he knocked it out of the park. If it wasn't for the shocked look at the beginning, id have thought he was an expert.
Few lines of coke and a couple of acid tabs, this guy could almost pass for a politician. Nah he's too honest, he actually answered questions put before him, a real politician talks about something else.
My boy didn’t lie when he included that he can work under pressure on his resume
Facts
😂 totally
his reaction when he realized what is happening always gets me
Yeah!!!! 👀 😂😂😂
They always say cats have 9 lives… idk how many I’ve got but I’ve died at least 12 times watching this video 😂😂
haha i've never seen that look on a grown man. It's like a cheeky little kid
He's great😅😂
@@normskia9his brain goes "oh, shit... But Momma Goma didn't raise no coward." 😂
The look of absolute panic on his face when he realises he's at the wrong interview.
lol
@@MarkARhodieI didn't see any panic

The show must go on, should have got employed for that.
deffo
I love how he starts to panic, but then appreciates the irony of the situation he's in.
The fact that it's a lawsuit about Apple vs. Apple and that they interviewed a guy named Guy over another guy named Guy is so poetic
I want to shake Guy Goma's hand. Absolute legend of a man
100% agree. He gets my vote
Shame on BBC not hiring this dude! I want to see him on IT news!
“So how well do you work under pressure” Guy: you’ll see it tonight at 6” 😂🤣😂
I think the language barrier works in his favor in this case. He can still sound like an expert while basically not saying a lot. lol.
This guy is a legend, he answered every question thrown to him with confidence 🤣
Dude is a master of “yes, and”
Damn, this guy is really good at thinking on his feet. He did really well despite being completely unprepared and getting put on the spot.
Can’t get past the first 45 seconds because I keep replaying his reaction when the penny drops 😂😂😂 epic moment man bravo
Pure class. Perhaps the greatest 'styling it out' by a non-politician in television history. Take a bow, Guy Goma. 👍
Lol hes a good lad , blagged it like a pro
I can't believe he didn't get the job.
Lol 😂😂😂😂😂
The reporter stutters a lot in the end, probably because the producers realize and are yelling and gesturing to skip the segment.

He actually did quite well. 🙂
Quite a shame they didn't hire him

O that's brilliant! How have I missed this.
It happened 15yrs ago buddy 😂

I would have made him the head of the BBC
He predicts the future 😂
thanks so very much......I laughed so hard cause i didn't quite catch what he actually said and then read this....sides are splitting.
I think his accent is part of what saved him here. In real-time you're not quite sure what he's saying so it helped him BS his way through.
Guy is the master of disguise. He can play anyone you want, just name it. :D
What is Masters Of Disguise
"So, Guy, tell us: do you work well under pressure, and how are you with taking on new responsibilities at short notice?"

He was thinking "gosh, it really IS true: black people really DO all look the same to these idiots." 🤣
Rightly spoken as a lawyer in music industry. He should have been hired. He spoke what was the future to come.
The fact the BBC never hired this guy tells me everything about them, he genuinely thought all of that up under pressure and made it sound like a believable broadcast (which it was to be fair)
They only hire nonce's, probably no previous convictions.
Far better than 95% of interviews on GB News, to be honest
The thing is he wasn't wrong with his answers and essentially summed up the way music consumption would head going in the future. The BBC should've given him the damn job!
At the beginning of the interview his face is priceless, this man is just amazing 😂
Held is business together 😂😂

Not heard of this till today in the Guardian !
Guy turns up as an account leaves a fortune teller 😅😅

He did very well!
Get this man a BAFTA now! That was some award winning acting.
Good job, man.
He didn't get the Job because the real IT guy was doing the job interview for him
Haha the guy they mixed up with had the same first name… Guy Kewney! He died a decade ago. ☹️
Handled it like a pro ...so funny but big up to u sir xx
This never gets old
he thought it was a mock interview they do for their job interview to show his skills of replying to questions on the spot

ah, yes, just another day at the construction site 😌 soOoO relatable!!!
This is a great example of the importance of proper attire when going to an interview.
BBC: you the guy for the interview?
Guy: uh, yes
BBC: Alright, this way please.
At the same time, Guy Kewney is in the other room being interviewed for the IT department-hahaha!
Y el man habla y se la saca jajaja una bestia!!!!
Legend!! 😲
He showed up for a job interview for IT and they put him on camera because they thought he was the African born tech expert they had scheduled. No one bothered to confirm who he was.
The producer did try to confirm who he was, but he made the mistake of just asking if his name is "Guy"
And he looks EXACTLY like Guy Kewney
This man should have been one of the new faces on BBC
Thank you for showing me this beautiful part of Planet Earth!😅❤
My man understood the assignment.
Went to the wrong studio 🤣🤣🤣
I'm watching from 0:43 to 0:48 in loop and I can't stop laughing 😂

This was also TX in May 2006

Someone give this man a podcast but don't tell him what each episode is about so he has to play it cool.
