passed core 1 today. Glad that I found you you here.
Did you watch all these videos? Or just one ? I don't have much time 1 month to be exact and I can only study for 5 hours a week
@@TimCummingsFatLoss how much would you study each week or day if you had the time?
This guy is a great teacher. Explains everything very well!
Just passed my CompTIA A+ 1101 exam one hour ago. This video and the other 1101 practice question video really helped with my exam. I even had exact similar questions come up in the exam, which are in the videos you created. Thank you
lots of PBQs? congrats! taking it in one week!
How did it gi @@carolynlambert8797 ? I take mine in 4 weeks time..
One of the reasons I adore this was the repetition, is something I won’t forget , bravo!
I passed my Core 1 yesterday, all thanks to you. You are doing the Lord's work, God Bless You.
12 - on websites and in my classes test site A is the correct answer
32- is also identify the problem
U should also know Raid 10 as well
Step 1 is identify the problem how can u establish a theory without identifying the problem first
Very interesting to tell someone who made this practice test that their answer is wrong lol
@@bozobaloons4255 32 is wrong and easily verifiable
I agree. Identify the problem is the correct answer.
I agree, those two are incorrect in this presentation.
keyword: ‘new’ if it was an old printer then a maintenance kit will be suitable but
Passed core 2. Oh damn so much work I’ve put in. With your help everything went good. Got 768 which ended being higher than core 1. ❤
Wow congrats, I'm hoping to be where you are at right now, in a couple weeks. Really anxious about the core 1 test I'm going to be taking soon, especially since a handful of the questions seem to have differing answers [I made an earlier comment about this on the video]. Regardless, I hope you do well in your future IT endeavors!
@@comptialearnin-jt3nb Thanks mate. You'll be good if you were preparing really diligently.
I haven’t started studying for core two yet but took a few practice tests and a lot of it I seemed to do good with some I’m excited to jump in.
What about the hands on question’s like pbq? If you mess those up? I’m studying the heck out of it but if I get them wrong will I fail. I’m learning it for the employers
I’m sure it’s been said, but imma reiterate it:
Your videos are great not just because you have an ample number of practice problems, BUT…
1) you explain the question AND each answer in sufficient detail with pictures in some cases, AND…
2) even IF we should know the answer by now (with repeated question types), you still treat the problem as if we are learning (we are) and implement 1.
Top notch job! 🎉🎉 Thank you for the time and effort you’re putting into this for us.
I find your teaching style very effective, earning an even higher rating because this subject in general is about as excitable as watchin paint dry. I also have noticed a few questions that conflicted with the official material that most of your viewers have access to and to that I say that is just a way to insure we can pass a test if we can catch that so thanks again!
1:19:49 Wouldn't overheating be more likely, considering that all the components are being stressed, which comes with a lot of heat generation. Also, RAM issues would usually cause random restarts, blue screens(BSOD), or freezing, rather than a complete and sudden shutdown, atleast based on the books that I have read so far on the Comptia A+ objectives. I also agree with the other commenters on the validity of the answers on question 12, 32, and 52. Regardless, the video is still quite helpful, thank you!
yeah I thought that too. ram makes no sense for that.
Agreed, one of many contradictions I see in the A+ testing questions online. Cpu/vrm overheat is most likely the cause for a unexpected shutdown out of this given list. Psu/cpu/vrm normally cause this.
I just pass my comptia A+ core 1 test thank you burning tech it was very hard but keep studying and keep being motivated. For those people wondering if this questions are on the exam some are and some are not. Keep studying learn the material and troubleshooting topics you will do fine the PQB question really help me a lot thanks to this man who help me 🎉
I did a mock test and was surprised to see that the questions were not much of what I studied, glad I found this, this is actually relevant and very insightful! Will be watching this all and more!
The best video for core 1. Thank you so much for this video. I just pass my core 1 exam now 19.09.2024. May God continue to give you strength.
Your videos helped me pass core 2. During the exam I read the questions in my head with your voice.
Oh wow I feel honored
Congrats on passing! Well done!
Is this same questions you got on the exam
Just wanted to thank you for all your content. It has really helped me alot, I'm more of a visual learner so you adding actual images makes a huge difference and helps me to remember. I also need to add that your sense of humor made your videos extremely fun to watch as well. I found myself getting bored watching other creators content and I wasn't retaining anything. I start school next month but I've been studying on my own so I don't look like a complete idiot lol. I'm 42 so it's been many years since I've been in school. I feel more confident after watching your videos, and the practice test is well put together as well. Great job. Thanks again happy holidays
Glad you you found it useful and thank you for the compliment. Best of luck with your studies and happy holidays to you too! :)
hey man, im based in South Africa and i just wrote (and passed) my A+ core 1 1101 series test. I used the comptia study guide online videos as my base. then used your videos, techvault and professor messer's videos to solidify my knowledge and get used to the way in which these questions are asked/worded. moving onto my A+ core 2 now and then to conquer N+ and finish with S+. thank you so much for making such quality content. the videos are a very easy watch and provide a great source of not just book knowledge but also on the field knowledge. hoping ill retrun to the comments further along this year with more great news to share. ENJOY!!
Dope!
Just wanted to say thank you, this and Professor Messer really helped me pass the Core 1, on to Core 2
I’m sorry question number 52 NFC is not just for payments. It is comparable to Bluetooth and the biggest difference between NFC and Bluetooth is closeness and pairing but closeness.
Also it believe #32 the first step is “identify the problem”
A few of the answers chosen seem questionable
I confuse with this question too
The answer to question 32 is incorrect as well. Step 1 is identify the problem and step 2 is establish a theory. Best to use multiple sources when studying and check the objectives on the official CompTIA website.
You have the best practice exams on youtube for the A+ exam. Thank you.
Taking my exam today!! Nervous but I’m going to do my best! Thank you for all the help!!
How did you do ?
How did it go?

I hope you passed brother, if not it's not the end of the world just don't give up, I failed my test the first time with 624/675 and the way the questions were worded really messed me up. I'm taking it again tomorrow hopefully this time I pass. If I don't then I'll have to keep studying and trying. This video should help a bit if anyone is wondering, a lot of the questions are worded very similar to the ones on the test. When I failed the exam I used professor Messer's tests but they just test knowledge, they don't try to trick you.
@@jonathanmarinello2534 good luck bro i passed rrcently with a 697 just make sure you read the question properly and take your time and check out some pbq videos om youtube a lot of them are the actual ones that come on the test like the printer one and building 2 pcs
Taking my exam tomorrow morning! thanks for the last minute clarifications!
update: passed the exam.
i was caught off guard by questions about compatibility between different computer components would recommend learning that. all other questions are relatively chill so if you can answer BurningIceTechs questions you'll do great.
Wym compatibility?
@@kwickwire questions with components and their compatibility with other computer components (SSD, RAM, MB, GRAPHIC CARD....) PBQ questions.
How many questions did u get?
Question 27: It says "shuts down" in the question. If that answer was in fact faulty RAM - there would be a BSOD. It wouldn't shut down. So overheating makes more sense doesn't it?
Got my exam 14th of december. Done your videos and questions. I m very nervous. Not sure i ll pass. Thanks for another vid.

All of your training videos are Super helpful..great instruction 🎉! Thanks again.
Love your videos and they really help me understand concepts for the A+!
I do have a nitpick about Question 12 at @40:00
The answer that was provided (D) seems appropriate for an OLD printer. However the question states this is a NEW printer.
Shouldn't the answer be A?
i agree after seeing your question. I am not certified though so don't listen to me lol
That was my first thought.@@Mmrocker1
I have my test next week and my current job is working exclusively on printers. A is the correct answer. Maintenance kits can run upwards of $400 USD and some take multiple hours to complete. Checking the paper path is the cheapest and least invasive option. It's very likely the paper itself is the obstruction. Also, you would have to clear the paper path anyway to do the maintenance kit. The fuser is almost the last part pages pass through, even if you remove the page from the fuser, the printer won't clear any other pages from the paper path and if multiple pages are being printed it will say all those pages are jammed as well even if they're not. It really kinda breaks down to, "what is the correct answer vs what does the test want you to say".
Sidenote: If you listen to what he says about answer B, he says "A paper jam is an actual piece of paper that's gotten jammed somewhere along the line."
Has there been clarity on question 32? Based off my studies identify the problem is the first step. Doesnt come before establishing a theory
Thank you for taking the time to help out the community, my friend. I admire you
(Correction) 32. B
Going to take my core 1&2 exam next month! your content has really helped me get a better understanding the material! I also have been lucky enough to land a IT help desk job so the hands on experience is an added bonus!
In Canada at my company, we use rubber mats and while there are anti-static wrist straps and upper management says to use them, we never use them.
I just found this channel recently, I'm about to take my A+ exams and I feel so much more confident because I knew more than I thought! I think these videos will really help!
check out @themadinstructor video series.....very good as well
This is absolute gold. Love the explanations and photos. Thank you!
Passed core 1! Thank you!
Passed core 1 today. Thank you for all the videos!
Congrats on your pass! :) Your most welcome hey
Thank you so much!!! I passed Core 1 because of you!!!
The first step in the trouble shooting model is B.) Identify the problem.
Establish the theory is the second steps so i got confused to his answer.
Questing 52 says "take inventory quickly and UPDATE PRICE TAGS". I've never seen a magnetic READER that can update price tags - a label printer maybe....:) Does CompTIA know something we don't?
Im looking at the comptia book right now. Identity the problem is most definitely the correct answer for 32
I passed 220-1102 yesterday, I used several materials, this channel was the MOST helpful!!!!!
220-1101 here we come
Awesome :)
thank you so much for the time put into the videos I got an 86% on the questions! :)
you deserve a Nobel of most helpful team 😍😘😘
I have enjoyed this quiz so much and thank you for putting It together.
Thank you so much for all your hard work.
thank you for the explanation. now, I understand better IT with you. things are falling into place. You
are a great teacher ever.
Thank you thank you thank you 🙌🙌🙌
Man, it is such a nice change of pace to not be listening to Eeyor reading a script and going through a PowerPoint to teach. Thank you so much brother.
Q12. I suppose that's what they claim in their book, but checking the paper path, I found a small crumpled ball of torn-off paper stuck in a crevice by the fuser rollers, so every attempt to print causes a jam.
Your explanations are probably the most helpful that I have come across, thank you 🙏
I take issue with Question 32. The first step in troubleshooting is ALWAYS to Verify The Concern. You can't have a theory until you've experienced the issue or gathered data to build a theory.
yeah i had to double check.
Best channel for test prep!
I love the way you talk and the explanation. Thank you for doing this.
Question 33 I honestly feel you made an error. The first step is to identify the problem which is asking the user what are the problems they are experiencing and after establishing that than you come up with a theory as to what might be causing the theory… which I learned from you and I found to be 100%
for question 52 how is the magnetic reader the answer? I would think that the label maker printer would be the answer
i was confused on that too how is he supposed to update the price tags
Label makers are mostly used for shipping labels and names for the most part I reckon, so that's the logic behind why it's not D.
And I guess with the magnetic reader they are referring to a RFID to track the items by tags.
Which of the following peripherals would you use to take inventoryquickly and update price tags for products? (Choose TWO)
A) Flatbed scanner
B) KVM switch
C)Magnetic reader
D) Label printer
E) NFC device
F) Barcode scanner
Definietey D and F , that's what i use at work everyday to scan the asset tag and print the labels
Ya - magnetic reader doesnt make any sense. D/F for sure.
The questions for the examination will they be similar these? Love the videos by the way. 🥰
i just finished watching the first version 😂 thank you so much!
I'm also through with my accelerated Comp TIA A+ course and will be taking my exams soon. I will be sure to check this video out, thanks for posting!
Hey man quick question! You mention before that 802.11ac and ax will likely not be on the exam, is that still the case or no from what you know? Just curious because I have stumbled upon some questions!
Im planning to write core one on the 20th! Any last minute advice?
Im not even done with the video, but I already learned some things here and this is enough to give u positive feedback and subscribe and like. Thank you so much.
Thank you. Your videos are really helpful!!
Can you please do a video on the PBQs only? I’m not sure if you have already I didn’t see it. But that would be awesome just to have all of them in one video
Cheers mate!
Now there are videos for PBQs only. There is one for Core 1 and one for Core 2. They were uploaded 1 or 2 months ago.

Congrats on that pass! :)
Thanks alot you do a great job explaining why and why not the answer is the answer
What the Cheeze?!?!? Ive been looking for good Core 1 questions and finally found them!
32 is B, we cannot establish a theory for why there is a problem if we haven’t identified what said problem is. Also, from other courses I’ve taken, they’ve all said B was the first step

12 doesn’t seem right. Just because there’s a jam you would immediately replace the rollers without trying to clear the jam? A seems to be the better answer

Congrats on that pass! :)
Hello Burning Ice Tech, your courses are better than any of the others i found, i wanna ask will you do sec + courses? Thanks in advance and hope you will :)
For question 12, can you explain why you would need new rollers for a new printer?
I'd like an answer to this too. It seems like the most efficient thing to do would be removed the paper jam. I would think the next step would be printer kit
I believe it's because they degrade overtime from spinning and won't grip paper after long periods.
@@DirewolfMemento Yes, that is true, but he specifically said it was a NEW printer.
@BurningIceTech, can you help clarify, please?
After listening to the explanation several times I think the question is misread. He answered it as if the paper jam had already been cleared out, that's why he said, "it is unlikely that there is any obstruction left in there"
I have my core 1 exam tomorrow for the second time, just need to pass and I’ll be A+ certified. (I took core 2 before core 1, I’m also finding core 1 to be harder than core 2 for some reason :/ ).
Hello, in question one you mentioned right answer is Drum, however in module 9 at 59:37 you mentioned that for vertical lines we clean or replace the roller ? Could you please explain which is correct ?
I am studying for Core 1. In 99% of the times I come across questions about vertical lines on paper, the answer is Imaging Drum (also known as, Photosensitive Drum) (also known as, Drum).

APPEEEEPA!, I love it
great information, a, can you check question 32 again you said the 1st step in the comptia trouble shooting methodology was establish a theory, I believe its Identify the problem, there are now 6 steps, and ID the Problem is first, then 2nd is Establish the Theory. can you confirm. thanks again
According to comptia it is infact identify the problem. Why would you give technical support without a problem? A theory on what if there is a problem or not? He made an error you can look it up.
I with you 👍
im at 58 mins and i wish the questions were this easy on the actual exam lol i got everything right o far....and still dont feel ready
I have a question for if you and can take time out of your day to answer it, I would be extremely grateful and thankful. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology 4 years ago and I am still struggling to find a job in IT, do you think earning a CompTIA A+ certification will help me find a job in IT? Because I am already extremely disappointed in the fact that I earned my Bachelor's Degree and I can't seem to find a job and I don't know how much more disappointed I would be if I spent the time to study and earn my CompTIA A+ cert I would b if I still couldn't find a job. I thank you for your time and consideration.
Comptia A+ will not be that hard for you, u can start with network+ if u are worried about wasting ur time. But doing something is always better than doing nothing. 4 years bachelor degree should more than enough did you try volunteering?
@@thewickedgoblin5573 Thank you for your kind words. I agree, my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Degree should be enough to land me an entry level IT job but it hasn't been. Volunteering? no, I am having a difficult enough time just finding a minimum wage job, let alone a job that uses my degree.
awesome
Thank you..
thanks
1:49:50 now that's what I dislike about these questions, why are we expected to assume the phone does not have its own power supply and must only be powered by PoE???
So said 1 establish a problem how can that be done without asking questions
#15 makes no sense because it says "... establish THE connection in minimal time.." not ANY connection. "The connection" is referencing the connection that is being spoken of in the beginning of the question. I hope this is not an official question
The connection they speak of is the "remote connection" back to the office in most cases. Keep in mind this is A+ and they don't expect people to go to deep yet at this stage in time. The idea of this question is to get the "remote user" connected back with the office as quick as possible. Making a hotspot will re-connect them with their remote office in the least amount of time. Hope this helps
@@BurningIceTech I understand that however again it says to connect to "the" connection amiright? This can be a very misleading question with answers that can be any of the follow under the right context. If this is a official question this is why COMPTIA is not releasing their pass/fail rate. Questions like these are just down right wrong and purposely misleading. Leading to know growth in the learner at all.
q32 should be B no??
@1:13:00

how many question from these came on test ?
@@SHADOW93 i did not see this video tbh...cause I already passed the exam...but exam is pretty basic tbh. The level of questions in the video correctly represents exam level
How do you select C at Question 32? You want to establish theory first and then start finding out if there is a problem?😂
I'm thinking the same. i have 10yrs exp in building repairing computers. Most of the time the customers tell me the problem first and i try to come up with theory and then apply solutions.
the answer is 100% B
