Just some observations: - These shoes weren't dirty to begin with, just some dried mud. A quick rinse off and after that a bristle with some laundry detergent would have done the job. But we get it. You got sponsored. But a big bottle/box of Tide is cheaper :) - Dipping that bristle into that tiny bowl of water just doesn't make any sense. Use more water so you don't transfer dirty water back onto the shoe. Or simply just rinse off first. - Would love to see a video on some more challenging materials. Nubuck, suede etc. And also some more challenging dirt. That mud was a joke.
Haven’t even watched the video yet but I already know it’s some dumb promotion from reshovenator. The shoes probably aren’t even dirty , thrown with a top layer of sand.
@@WyWid i agree, but the angelus cleaner is nice man. You get 2 12oz bottle for $10 on Amazon and i choose to use it it when my shoes aren’t heavily dirty
Boost browning is not always caused by the same processes: best to clean off with mild soap and water, then use Salon 40 and some UV light for between 5-50 hours (really variable): you will see an improvement, which can range from minor but noticeable to virtually turning the boost to original white condition.
Why spent so much money on buying a uv light and spend hours when you can just clean it up and use a vinyl non acidic white paint which will protect the boost and you can get any color, since it's vinyl it will stick easily and rip off easily, maybe max 20 minutes to do both shoes
@@nematoad Yes I mean I got the point its kind of a blueprint how to clean them but would be nice to see some real dirty and used shoes from the series
Exactly my thought. Ofcourse he’s credible enough because he always talks about the product he uses to clean them but rubbing some dirt on a clean shoe is a bit lame
@@WyWid wrong, my wave runners get absolutely toasted and I have to clean them every few months. I’m talking dark, stained suede, deep embedded dirt in the mesh, and gunk all built up in the outsole. Reshoevn8r works great and brings them back to life every time
Even if youre not reselling, if you own a decent collection of shoes its important to have some sort of cleaning kit/process because it can increase the longevity of your sneakers, especially ones with translucent outsoles that are prone to yellowing.
What’s up Seth. I bought the hyper royals off eBay. Can’t wait to get them in hand. Been wanting them since they came out and couldn’t have got them a better way then help contribute to the 20 dollar sneaker collection. Keep up the great content
I think it’s because the washing machine can’t get everything especially the dirt in hard to get places but yes I think the washing was overkill in this specific situation
@@xander5301 Nope. I've washed a gazillion shoes in the washer. That's what laundry detergent is for. My shoes, soles and all, always come out great. This is just another gimmick, unnecessary product that solves a problem that doesn't exist.
Not really. The leather can become hard and the paint can start to chip. The bag kinda protects it. But it also depends on how the shoe is dried. Do not heat dry.
Hey Seth. Love your videos. Keep up the good work. If you’ll find it helpful, do you think you could make a video explaining your selling process on eBay for the $20 snkr collection series? Thanks!
Yes do video on suede or nubuck uppers! Question - why didn’t you remove the laces pre-cleaning? I think most of the reshoeven8er videos… they put the shoe tree last, and remove the laces before cleaning with the brush.
The hack with those style of shoe trees is always go the next size. It’ll put more pressure on the to box and give it a batter shape. Figured that out just a few days ago
Cleaning your shoes helps a lot when it comes to selling them fast and for your asking price. I remember back in the day I fully cleaned my used Turtle Doves, and surprisingly they sold for $800 when I should have gotten like $550 max for the condition they were in 💀
Jesus $100?! You can get a gallon of tide detergent for $10, rub if oxyclean for $8, 12 pairs of shoe trees for $22 off Amazon, along with soft and hard bristle brush for $7 and a suede cleaning kit for $7, and 12pk of microfiber towels for $5, total of $60... you couldve built your own kit for -almost half the price and cleaned more pairs
Great video - though personally I would never go over the laces with any cleaning brush; for a project like this I would remove the laces, take a large horsehair brush to knock the dried dirt off of it first, then start with the scrubbing. For the laces I would get a separate small bowl of water with some concentrate and let sit while I do the scrubbing portion. Also, when you scrub your uppers, I don't think you need to scrub repeatedly too much as the suds will pick up the dirt - but the longer you scrub the same area with dirty suds the more you're rubbing the dirt into the shoes. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to non-sneaker shoe care since I wouldn't put them in the washer either so I probably have a lot to learn about this :D
I didn't know you shouldn't use this method for nubuck sneakers. I did my gf's university blues which I know have little movement in the nubuck but it worked out just fine.
Nubuck and suede are finicky when you use too much water, cleaning them with the brush and drying them with a towel is fine but preferably don't put them in the washing machine or soak them in water

I know all about selling new shoes but isnt it true that they are going to sell for way less used?? I mean I personally would never buy used shoes that were not way less expensive than new. I'm just wondering if it's better to do auction or buy it now only ot what have you.

Just don't use any Dawn soap, it loosens the shoe glue then later dry's up the leather. Also don't use Dawn soap on your car it strips the wax off then little by little it strips your paint.
