it's some silly regulation that the footpegs can't be on a surface that moves like the swingarm. they have to be frame mounted. so I guess they plugged it lol
Great video. I have a 2020 super cub and wondered how you put those style of foot pegs on. Didn't want to use those long bracket ones. Couldn't find any RUclips videos on mounting either one. I've wondered what is going on with those side capes on the swing arm to mount them. That didn't look to bad to do. Thanks for video. Will be looking for your new videos.
Nice job on showing that install. I'm on the fence about buying a new Super Cub. I would have to install the passenger seat and pegs like you did, for my wife to ride too. I've looked at the Suzuki V Strom 650 (used, 2020) for local exploring. But there's just something super cool about that Cub! I just came back from Viet Nam again with my wife, and saw a number of old Super Cubs cruising around. Felt like a kid in the candy store!
Just the video I was looking for. There is a 2022 in the same color at my local dealer. Seriously considering one of these but not being able to have a passenger at times was a deal breaker. I was not sure if the factory just ran a piece of all thread in a hole and welded it or what. This video sets straight my question about the scope of work to install the pegs. The long brackets for pegs do not look good. The rear seat seat I had figured out. Are all of your parts coming from the Thailand based sellers on Ebay? Thanks for sharing!
I agree with you that that long bar for the foot peg looks ridiculous. Quite a few of the parts came from Thailand, and they were holding up pretty well, but the windshield was from Amazon. Still loving the bike overall. So nimble
It's so bizarre that Honda doesn't sell the two seater in America but every other place they do I don't understand why

Will be adding mine in a week or so - thanks for the informative vid!

Thanks brother, glad you found value in it.

I love the bike but it’s fairly slow for American roads. I’ve also got a 500 when I need to go farther. love my cub though. LOVE
Is that motorcycle manufactured in Japan or Thailand? I’ve had trouble finding it out online.
Did you have to put on aftermarket suspension to account for the added weight of a 2nd passenger?

Thanks for posting this Al. I’m picking up a Super Cub next week and plan to add pegs later on. Did this turn out okay? Anything you’d do differently
No, the foot pegs are a must have.
