    - Wherever I May Roam - Metallica (~2016): My dad used to play a lot of Metallica in the car, this song stood out cause it was way darker than anything else I’d heard at the time.
    - …And Justice for All - Metallica (~2017): I dove deep into Metallica’s entire discography and discovered this album. It was heavier, faster and more complex than their other albums. This song encapsulates everything I love about that album.
    - Metropolis - Part I: “The Miracle and the Sleeper” - Dream Theater (~2018): Having fallen in love with the complexity of …And Justice for All, I discovered prog. The rest is history.
    - Reverie / Harlequin Forest - Opeth (~2019): Opeth combined the complexity of prog with brutality and it was delicious.
    - Pillars of Serpents - Trivium (~2020): Prog grew stale for me as Trivium slowly warmed me up to metalcore.
    - Gone With The Wind - Architects (~2022): Architects are a staple in the genre of metalcore, so I inevitably stumbled upon them. This is my favorite song by them.
    - Understanding Love as Loss - Silent Planet (~August 2023): Silent Planet was the first time I’d seen lyrics this intricate and conveying such unparalleled raw emotion. This is my favorite song by them.
    - New Faces in the Dark - Loathe (~November 2023): It’s very rare for me to hear something new and different from anything I’ve already heard before but Loathe provided just that. I’d never have thought hardcore and shoe gaze would fit so well together.

Nice. I even have a very similar looking LP although mines a Gibson not ESP. I went from Metallica to Trivium to a lot of Sylosis. Not sure if you know Sylosis but I think you might knowing Architects (Josh's original band). If you a haven't checked them out and you love cool guitar riffs I would definitely look into them. Really fun to play. Reflections through Fire is my favorite to play. After seeing this though...I think I should probably finally learn Pillars of Serpents haha.
