as a christian from africa , i have seriously fallen in love with cremation, it is very clean and less expensive, i believe that our spirits immediately leave the body at death, nothing can touch the spirit, our bodies needs to be disposed as they have done their job

It is not done in my tribe in Nigeria. It is written God created human with mud of the earth so body must be buried in the Earth then the soul goes to soul world.

i had some very good friends that were from Guyana living in the US. Super nice people. They were part of Seven Day Adventists but in their final years they left the church and were following Hindu traditions. i miss them so much.
If they was with us they wouldn't leave the true Christian church. And following false gods 😮.

I have seen videos of cremations in Bali who are Hindu. The body is washed by the whole village and dressed. They then have a procession from the house to cremation area and it is very interesting with musicians and they carry the body on a huge platform that is very richly decorated. One body was not covered completely and you could see the face and hands as the arms did not catch fire until towards the end and then they used a large blow torch to speed up the cremation. Interesting to watch different cultures. I think Bali is the best. I didn't see may people crying or moaning loudly. In the Middle East burials are very loud with everyone crying out loudly.

Their crematorium is actually clean. No dogs or scavengers.
In Trinidad we have these beautiful Crematorium where they have a chapel to church the dead, then they are taken into the oven like furnace, and shut the door, so you don't have to go to the oven if you don't want to. But we have two outdoor cremation sites for Hindus.

However, can I point out that in this video, you seem to have your priority of filming the cremations overtake your compassion: you said you were "lucky to have 2 cremations today". I hope I am wrong. I also did not see you telling the grieving families words of consolation or asking for their permission to film them. Perhaps I missed them or perhaps these were not filmed, or they were edited out. I find that foreigners in Varanasi appear callous over the bodies being cremated and the families grieving over their beloved ones' deaths.
I am still saying that I am lucky to have 2 cremations in a day.
I perceive death in a different way from most people.
I am not wishing anyone to die, it happened already so it doesn’t really change anything, right?
If it’s your time to go, so you can’t do anything about it in my belief.

Cremations were not allowed in the past for Christians but it has been allowed recently. My mother was Catholic and asked for a Cremation which was allowed but the church also instructed us to collect her ashes and bury them in the ground. So we buried her ashes in her mother's grave. A lot of Christians are choosing it today. My mother said it was a waste of land to have a grave site and then after awhile nobody visits so why waste land.
For Christians the ashes are supposed to be collected and buried. Some Christians are depositing it in the sea which is not allowed. But today everyone is much more liberal in their views. Some choose the sea as their happiest memories are there.

We are created in the image of god from ashes and dust from the ground, and to ashes, dust and the ground we shall return. For our body is the mere capsule of our lives, but our soul IS the life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I think if i was attending this ceremony i would be emotional . Not because someone died or i was sad, but i would be blessed and happy of the offering of the body back to the ground and the soul unto the Lord.

It’s expensive to transport dead body from another country to home country. Cremation is an option. Hard choice. We don’t even know if it’s the real body in the jar if it’s done in commercial crematory.

In canada cremation is done in a gas furnace. I think most people prefer cremation cuz it is less expensive.It is totally different than outdoor cremation.

For real our Trinidad cremation looks much better than this. Even more scared . But it was a learning experience with Guyana cremation.
