@@williambogoger8126 t Thanks for the compliment. It's really a joy to ride. In all reality....you have to DRIVE this machine. Slow life down and enjoy a little of the past.
@@wolfdog7265 Thanks for the comment. It's a blast to take down the road. I haven’t been in the engine yet, so I'm not sure about any mods. Ride safe!!
Very similar to starting a 40's Indian. Difference is that Indians usually have throttle on the left, spark advance and shift knob on the right and foot clutch operates the opposite of Harley. Many Indian riders convert Indian to same throttle and spark advance arrangement as Harley. Starting and riding an old Harley or Indian was not difficult, just slightly more complicated than a foot shift, hand clutch bike.
Reminds me of Dale's Ride Through Time....that's a fine, good looking machine. For a newbie like me, what's the easiest motorcycle to learn on? I think my biggest issue will be gear shifting.
@shangrila73eldorado I would recommend a standard foot shift bike that's light weight until you get familiar. It just takes a little time to get the timing down.
@@shangrila73eldorado Almost any Honda with foot shift, hand clutch will be fairly easy to learn to ride. Get how- to instructions from a patient experienced rider or pro instructor. Learning to use the clutch without stalling the engine, up-shifting and down-shifting and use of front and rear brakes safely is best learned in a large parking lot. Learning to take curves at proper speeds and use of counter-steering is very important for safety. There are a lot of good You Tube videos on safe riding techniques. Learning to anticipate hazards and maneuver quickly in emergencies is key to avoiding injury.

This is absolutely a good runner. Pretty snappy on the throttle for a WL.
It might be slightly modified.

Wow. What a process to go through. I know a guy who started one incorrectly and drove through his garage door . You might know him😊
Shit does, and will happen.
........Hang on tight!!
It probably becomes second nature after a while once you get savvy
Beautiful bike

@@SilverNutsGarage-di5ls Thank you. Can you recommend a bike like that?
@@shangrila73eldorado A Harley Davidson Sportster would do the trick.....
@@SilverNutsGarage-di5ls Anything else newer that I could buy used? A cheap Honda or something? I literally have never driven a motorcycle.

You simply rotated the throttle and spark advance toward you to accelerate and away from you to decelerate.
Dang, like trying to start a model T ford...cool bike, but would probably wreck it at the first corner, looking for the clutch...lol..🇺🇸
