I bought a Music On Vinyl reissue of Night Time a couple years ago and Paul's bass playing on it is incredible. It really stands out. Unlike Peter Hook or Simon Gallup, Paul really doesn't get enough recognition.
Did Raven ever play the bass-line to the Sub's classic "Warhead" with any band, anytime? If he didn't, he should have! Truly Great bassist! God bless you Paul Raven!
i'll say this i have nothing against trent or NIN but i've always liked the name NIN but the music does nothing for me. although i did like the track they did for the crow soundtrack, that was pretty fucking badass
I love it! I had this on tape before, haven't seen in in so long. I used to set my video to record NM every week (and sometimes stay up late to watch it!). Thanks for the upload, love PRONG, RIP Raven.
Agreed. I think he was just mouthing off because none of these guys ever want to be categorized. The ultra irony is that without Killing Joke the later industrial metal wouldn’t have existed. Most of the greats even make a point of this in their liner notes. Metallica, NIN, Ministry, Nirvana, the Cure, Helmet, Fear Factory, White Zombie, and on and on. But no. NIN sucks. Great guy though. They were put on the spot and it came off like Spinal Tap. Perfect.
@@andrewhigdon8346 The original industrial music was invented in the early 20th century. Also, you forgot about Godflesh- Raven was in that band very briefly in the early 2000s before they broke up. He was also in Treponem Pal, and he died when he was recording songs for them.

I've absolutely no idea lol :)
"I'd rather listen the washing machine go round than Nine Inch Nails". HA! Awesome.

@@NateTheGnat Throbbing Gristle. The originals.
Love Tommy...
RIP PVR
I like how Raven disses industrial music and then goes to play for Ministry. One of the best bass players tho, IMO.
It's not the time to be on the dole...
This Is Spinal Tap.
Bullshit!
Whoever made this video should be ashamed.
These musicians all made better music than these insane “ sound bites”
Raven rest in peace ✌️ 🙏
