  • Here is a detailed review and a pseudo-unboxing of my Bosch Aquatak 125 pressure washer. I call it 'pseudo' unboxing because I’ve been using this unit since 2018.
    I have used this unit extensively for a number of pressure washes for my cars at home and for cleaning down the patio and the walls of our home which were laden with green moss, dirt and bird droppings.
    This review also covers the must-have accessories for pressure washing especially if you desire to have a thick snow foam for your car, the plumbing and electrical connections etc. Having a good snow foam lance makes your weekend washing so much fun! You’ll probably never go to a car wash outlet after that, trust me!
    So check out the clip and let me know if you have any queries. I’d be more than glad to answer them!
    Thanks for watching! 🙂
    Key moments from the video:
    00:29 - Unboxing
    02:40 - Must-have accessories for a pressure-washer
    05:21 - 360° walkaround of the unit
    07:23 - Connecting the unit to a tap and power socket
    08:26 - Setting up the unit
    12:05 - Good practices before washing a car
    12:26 - Pre-rinse
    13:22 - Installing Bosch supplied foam container and results
    14:09 - Installing MJJC foam lance and results
    15:35 - Using the wash mitt to wipe the suds
    16:45 - Rinse down
    17:19 - 3 output modes for the nozzles
    19:05 - High-pressure mode rips off a cardboard box
    19:46 - Wrapping up after a wash and disconnecting the parts
    22:14 - Close-up snaps of the unit

      @@GaneshBalan one question: what do i need other than what comes out of the box ? I assume the inlet hose-pipe is not included. what about the hose-connector(s) if i need to draw water from a bucket?

    • @GaneshBalan
      @GaneshBalan  Год назад

      If you’re drawing water from a bucket, you don’t need anything else. Just the hose’s end needs to be immersed in water so keep some deadweight attached to the end to ensure it is always submerged so the hose doesn’t come out during washing. It’ll end up sucking air and the motor will run dry which you should avoid.
      Other than that you’ll need an electrical extension cord if you don’t have a 16A socket where the unit will be connected to and Bosch’s outlet hose extension. The supplied line is a wee bit short.

      There’s no pressure adjustment setting other than the 3 modes. Adjusting the inlet water’s pressure does not affect the outlet pressure. The pump inside boosts the pressure automatically. For AC condenser/evaporator coil cleaning, use the low pressure mode or the rotary mode. It won’t damage the coil.

      Since the underbody was not mucky, I did not clean it this time. You could judge the state of the soiled car from 06:56 onwards.
      For underbody washing, there’s a special 90 degree attachment that Bosch retails which attaches to the lance in place of the nozzle. That would be helpful. I’ve shared the link below:

      @GaneshBalan  2 года назад +1

      Hi Alam. I’ve had a great experience with the Bosch unit. No complaints so far. I must have extensively used it for at least 25 - 30 washes now. To extend the life of the motor, it is recommended to use the unit in breaks and not continuously. This will prevent the unit from getting heated up.
      That said, there are cheaper induction motor based pressure washers available now in the market which is much more compact. But I haven’t used one so cannot comment on the performance or reliability of these units.
