Great interview, I have been sharing since becoming a believer, with a man who is Jewish. I have known him most of my life and consider him to be family. He is 95 now and I am nearly 70. He and I have gotten to share over the years but when I got spend time with him recently he asked me again about my conversion and how I had come to be a believer in Jesus. Please pray with me for him who will soon stand before Jesus, that they will meet as those who already know each other. Shalom

Give him Isiah 9:6, Isaiah 44:6 Isaiah 52:13-16 and all of Isaiah 53. Give him I think it’s Nehemiah where he tells how long until the Christ comes. Smart men including I think it was Albert Einstein and more who figured the dates and that April 6, 32 AD was Palm Sunday. Also Daniel chapter 9. And I can’t remember exactly where it says the savior will come riding on a colt the foal of a donkey which Jesus did that day. There’s the passage in the Old Testament telling that. That he comes having salvation. A simple google search will find it. This man is asking. Lead him to the answers

What I love is that as the gym pastor said, as a gentile believer, I don’t want to pull a Jewish person away from the Jewish God, I want to share that I believe in Him too, but with the knowledge that the Jewish Messiah came and was with Jews first, as God’s Chosen people. I’m the adopted one. God be praised for men like Jeff and Randy.

@@robertstephenson6806 Isaiah 9:6. A child is born, a son given, and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, and Prince of peace. (The Jews understood in those days that a son given means that som would be sacrificed) John 8:58-57I tell you the truth, Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” At this they picked up stones to stone him. But Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds ( 10:24 He just claimed to be the I Am, which was not lost on his audience)
Isaiah 44:6-7. This is what the LORD says-Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty, I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.
Revelation 22:12. Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done I am Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
      Isaiah 44
10“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
11I, even I, am the Lord,
and apart from me there is no savior.
12I have revealed and saved and proclaimed-
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.
13Yes, and from ancient days I am he.
No one can deliver out of my hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?”
So it seems to me according to the scriptures, that God came down in body form (Immanuel means God with us) and as God did the children of Israel throughout history, and as Abraham told Isaac when he asked where the sacrifice was and Abraham answered him , God will provide my son.” And again He did provide. We err when we think this is about us. It’s about God and how Good God alone is. Blessings

I'm a Christ follower. I don't want to sell anyone on religion. I want people to have Jesus! He's the BEST thing in my life and nothing in this world compares to Him! I love Jews and just desire them to know my Jesus, who is Jewish too! I would say too that when we're telling someone about Jesus/Yeshua, we can be led by the Father as Jesus was. He said He never said anything but what the Father said to Him (Jesus), so it takes the pressure off when we can let the Father speak through us and say what that person needs to hear.

It is amazing the wisdom of God how He made the translators of the New Testament to put as the first book the Book of Matthew which is not the first book written in the NT but which astonished the Jews who open a NT and read and see the Jewish genealogy of Jesus! We will never cease to be in awe of The Holy God for eternity! If this is not an amazing God then I don't know who is! Thank you for the work you are doing. It thrilled my heart to see that our prayers as Gentiles for the salvation of Jewish people are answered more and more! And so we shall all together fellowship for eternity in heaven!

I'm not sure what the "time of the Gentiles" means. The Messiah has come, his life and work are the fulcrum of all human history, the Church (almost exclusively Jewish) is born, and the Abrahamic Covenant (that all nations would be blessed) is expanding across the world, saving both Jew and Gentile.

10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Kathleen, as a 67 year old gentile who was raised in the church, and who has been a follower of Jesus since my 13th year, I respectfully say that anyone who says that there are other ways to fellowship with Yahweh, they are in grave error. Jesus stated that He is THE way. Paul didn’t proclaim any such Gospel while on his journeys. As a gentile, I know that I’m of the wild grapes who were graciously engrafted into the Vine and to say that Jews do not need Jesus would be the worst thing I could say to my Savior’s people

🍓 A pastor sharing his testimony during his sermon where I attended. He said every time when he flies, he picks the middle seat in order to preach the Gospel to his neighbors.
In many occasions, he receives good responses, but one time, he asked a woman sitting next to him if she knew who Jesus was, the woman raised her voices and told this pastor not to talk this sh**.
I think, most likely, that woman might be a Jewish person who was deeply influenced by her environment.
I am a gentile. If I were given an opportunity to talk to a Jew, I think I would preach the Gospel, but would start carefully.

I remember my dad explaining to me when I was a child, that the difference between Judaism and Christianity, was that basically, they were the same religion, that the Jews had the Old Testament, Christians had the Old and the New Testament as their holy book, and that Jews were still waiting for their Messiah, whereas Christians had believed that he had already come. There were Jewish students at my Christian elementary school, as well as Buddhists, Hindus, and I think I remember seeing at least one Muslim or Sikh kid. I always felt very akin to Judaism in particular, and had a lot of respect for the culture and traditions. I was sad that there was some bad blood there from some old wounds historically. But our school taught tolerance and we all got along. There really was nothing to disagree about at that age, so it never really came up. We were just taught to respect each other, and if you were of a different religion and didn’t want to say the prayers or say Amen, you could bow your head in respect and remain there quietly. We had chapel every Wednesday that all staff and students were required to attend, and we did.
It’s interesting to understand and look at the similarities of a lot of Abrahamic traditions from around that time, Judaism, Christianity, even Old Catholic vs. Roman Catholic, which came much later. Anyway, I enjoy learning about the differences. I do think it’s a very personal relationship, and so I feel like it takes an in someone feeling the call of God on their life, to speak with authority about it. Which, I believe that you gentlemen have - and it’s true, it’s all of God’s doing. It’s good to examine why we choose to believe the things that we do. Thank you for sharing your work.

THANKS SO MUCH for all this valuable information. It is very encouraging. As a non-Jewish Believer, I would say that much of the Bible has been misunderstood by many Christians (many don’t read it either!), even to the point that many think that the Old Testament Law is now “done away with” along with its “curse” and that Yeshua/Jesus was introducing a whole new program that contradicted the Old Testament ways!
The Lord has led me to seek the truth, and after years of Bible expository teaching by Jewish teachers, who have the Jewish perspective and understanding, I am happy to say that I have connected most of the dots. I praise Our Father that I am privileged to live in these times. Also that He has given me a love for the Jews.

Kathy James, I'm not sure where you are getting your information about Christian believers, but the sermon at every Catholic Mass is read directly from the Bible. It is also printed in the missal. Even if the person didn't read the Bible themself, the Old and New Testament is taught in Catholic schools. I don't know anything about the "curse" you are talking about, but I've heard other Christians talking about Catholics not readying the Bible before I read your comment. You didn't say Catholics, but it is hurtful to hear someone talking about any Christian not reading the Bible. Where is that coming from? I think we should not say anything that divides us, Jew or Christian. How do you know what many Christians do? There is no way, and I'll only speak for Catholics, that they don't understand the old and new testaments.

    • @kathyjames9250
      @kathyjames9250 11 месяцев назад +1

Hi, thanks for replying, my point was to draw others to new understanding and fulfillment through the Hebrew perspective. I don’t know enough about Catholics to have an informed opinion (but know enough not to judge God’s other servants).
In answer to your response, I am drawing from my own experience (struggling to want to read the Word of God, struggling in my own walk of obedience, etc.) and hearing sermons with reports about this issue being quite common. I also know that some Christians have believed that the Old Testament is no longer applicable, to the point that Bibles were printed with only the New Testament, (plus the Psalms and Proverbs). When some friends were seeking truth and reading the Old Testament, their church members were praying for them, that they be saved from the “curse” of the Law. Galatians 3:13 uses this wording, but it explains we are released from the Law’s condemnation by Jesus’ atoning sacrifice. However it is not understood by some that Jesus told us to keep His Commandments. In fact, some believe that He rebelled against the Commandments with all new teachings. I know people who attend church, but feel no guilt living with people without marrying, so I assume they believe the Commandments no longer apply.
I now understand that the New Testament is solidly based on the Old Testament, and I am enjoying reading the Word, and I now realize how critical a lifeline it is in these, the last of the last days. Blessings!

God chose Israelites to be His first people to love. God shows us that there were many Jews who were disobedient. But there was a remnant of the chosen people who were obedient and loving to their God. Jesus told the gentile woman in Zarphath that He was to go to Jews first. The gentile woman said that the gentiles should get the crumbs like the dogs under the table at meal time. Us gentile believers should be very happy that Jesus let us get those crumbs.

Needless to say, immediately I bought his book bc I’m confident it is correct in heart for bringing people out of darkness. As a Christian, I’m overjoyed and overwhelmed as how thousands and thousands of Jews are accepting JESUS as their messiah, Lord and saviour.
JESUS has literally physically fulfilled all the prophecies of the BIBLE but Jewish Rabbis say , NO he has not fulfilled the Messiah prophecy because when messiah comes there will be peace on the earth 🌍. But the truth is when you except JESUS as your saviour, you experience the PEACE that passeth all understandings and your nature and character change for good and more holy and humble. As JESUS says love your enemies and love your neighbour as yourself and bless those who curse you, so when everyone start loving their enemies, don’t you think there will be world peace.
The orthodox Jewish Rabbis are still misguiding people and saying JESUS is not the Messiah and still waiting for the Temple to be built and animal sacrifices to commence and Temple to be built.
We are the temple of GOD and when JESUS died , the animal sacrifices stopped from that time , they don’t realise that but say that temple destroyed and that’s why sacrifices stopped as there is no temple. JESUS was the ultimate sacrificial lamb, who done the atonement for the sins of the world ( Jews and Gentiles) , and resurrected and soon coming back to Judge the world. I hope you evangelise the orthodox Rabbis with the help of the Holy Spirit.
    God bless you all.
Israel is GOD’s inheritance and Jerusalem is his earthly throne.
    Amen 🙏.

We were raised with certain manners considered as common politeness that Jewish families are not, (i.e. not raising your voice, avoiding arguments, not saying what you are thinking) so in my first meek encounters with Jews I felt at a disadvantage. Since then I have learned the differences (and to love them).

I now want to get Randy Newman's book: QUESTIONING EVANGELISM. These are some key points on How to move people from UNBELIEF TO BELIEVE IN YESHUA. JESUS often answered a question with a question. When Jesus was asked, "Is it okay to get a divorce?" Jesus answered them with a question. He asked, "What did Moses write?" Have a dialogue with people. Ask God to do a work in you, to treat a person as a person. Ask the LORD IN JESUS' NAME to help you engage with unbelievers to love and respect them, and to lead them out of darkness into Light. Ask God for Wisdom to have the mind of Christ. You're approach is not to win an argument but to help them get out of their own imprisonment, their own unbelief or insincerity. GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY for people's Salvation and for proclaiming His Truth. THINK ON THE FINISHED WORK OF MESSIAH JESUS. .. ON HIS INFINITE LOVE & THE FACT THAT YOU COULD NEVER LOSE HIS LOVE. REMEMBER GOD IS WITH YOU IN THE CONVERSATION...DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT HIM.

    Dear Beloved in Christ Jesus,
At age 6 I became a believer in Jesus. It was a simplistic faith because I was told that if I wanted to go to heaven, I had to ask Jesus to come into my life. Well, I wanted to go to heaven, so I went up front and with my pastors help I asked Jesus into my ‘heart’ (life). - At age 16 I gave that ‘life’ over to Jesus and told Him that I wanted to serve him. I then became a summer missionary with Child Evangelism Ministry, and each summer for three years I taught weeklong bible study clubs for kids.
In one of my club’s some of the kids told me that a nun from their church had given them candy and stickers to encourage them not to attend my club. Being a naïve teenager, I asked the kids to introduce me to their nun. I asked her what I was teaching that she disapproved of. She took offence at my teaching that Jesus was a Jew. When I showed her the genealogies of Jesus in her bible that proved Jesus was a Jew. Her response was, “He may have started out Jewish, but He converted.” At the time I had to fight my desire to laugh right out loud. However, as I grew up, and learned that Jewish children basically grow up believing that same lie and teach it to their children. It makes my heart ack, to see Satan’s ‘double-barreled’ weapon against all people who need to know the savior of the world, who need the messiah.
(Luke 2:10-14) And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ (Messiah) the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (mankind).
This birth announcement, though given to some Jewish shepherd boys, was a message of good tidings that was meant for! V.10: “all people” and V.14: “toward mankind”. I praise God for the Jewish people who preserved the Word of God, so that this little Baptist Girl could grow up and become a Child of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, “Christ/Messiah”. ‘Christ’ isn’t Jesus’ last name; it is His title.
    - Love ‘N’ Blessings in Christ/Messiah, Jesus Our lord - Ruth A. Snow (age 76) -
PS (Look me up at the supper table that Jesus is preparing for all of us who trust in his sacrifice on our behalf, OK? [Rev.19:6-9])

There's much bad eschatology in the modern Evangelical Church which promotes two avenues to salvation: One for Jews, and one for Gentiles. But the Bible says there is only one way for everyone; we place our faith and trust in what Christ has done on our behalf. Perhaps that's why some Christians are reluctant to share the Gospel with ethnic Jews.

@maryvandeusen5554, Maybe some of them can only be 'reached' by / preached to someone who understands them from their own point of view: another Jew.
The Jews who snarl are responding from 2000 years of fear of going against their own culture, against their beloved God.
As Randy explains, nothing prepares a Jew for the proof of something that the Jews have been taught to NOT explore.
Jews are taught explicitly that Jesus is a betrayal to their culture, etc. They are taught that Jesus must have been a disgusting person to have been crucified (hence ignoring OT prediction of the betrayal of His Provenance. )
I will try to find a way to gently suggest that Jews whom I encounter are welcome to challenge the witnessing of Randy Newman.
They may find the challenge is an unexpected welcome discovery 💙🙏💙 I would not insult them with a presumption of any ignorance on their part. I would kindly welcome them to a friendly challenge.

The woman in Rev 12 refers to Israel, not Mary. Israel birthed the Messiah for the world. The woman is clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head are 12 stars. Look at Joseph's dream in Genesis 37:9.
Look at Rev 12:6. Did Mary flee into the wilderness for 1260 days? No. But Israel will in the coming Tribulation.

The only reference to Mary is Isaiah 7:14. Her role ended with the birth of Jesus! No Scripture in the Old Testament gives her any other role in man's redemption. @@kellycurran4608 The Roman Catholic Church was the creation of Emperor Constantine. It is completely anti-Christ. Show me any doctrine of your false religion that aligns with the Bible. In my early years as a believer, I wanted to convert to Roman Catholicism because I felt that Protestants spend too many hours in church! I was then asked by the Catholic leadership at the Shrine of Saint Jude, Yaba, Lagos in Nigeria to attend a Catechism class to prepare me for membership in your false church. The first day of the class, the Rev brother assigned to us said with a smirk that we would not bother ourselves with the first eleven chapters of Genesis, because according to him, these were fiction. In fact, he described the burning bush story as childish. I later wrote to the church leadership, thinking that he would be sanctioned for these blasphemous utterances but nothing was done. Years later, I read in an international magazine that the then Pope Benedict had endorsed a research on the origin of man. It was then it dawned on me that the Rev brother was paroting the position of the Catholic church.
You ought to be ashamed of yourselves for rejecting the word of God and creating a convenient religion for yourself- a religion that promotes perpetual confessions without repentance. You are like these
    Breakoff of the Christians
The original Christians were Jews who acted Jewishly in all respects except for their belief in Yeshu. Eventually, the Christians realized that the Jewish people would not accept their idolatrous beliefs, and decided to introduce their religion to the Gentile world. Instrumental in this endeavor was a Jew named Paul, with whom the major tenets of Christianity originate. In order to make Christianity palatable to non-Jews, Paul taught that the Torah's commandments do not have to be kept; instead, faith in Yeshu was all that mattered.
Paul traveled all over the Roman Empire, attracting many converts to Christianity, a new religion which borrowed ideas from the Torah, some of its morals and ethics, and some rituals, which Paul combined with pagan rites. Not content with rewriting basic Judaism, Paul also claimed that the gentile Christians supplanted the Jews as G‑d's chosen people, and that the Christian New Testament had replaced the Torah. He also taught that the Jews killed Yeshu and could only be saved only if they turn to his worship. Such teachings, although not the sole basis for Christian anti-Semitism, played a significant role in the way post-Pauline Christians viewed the Jewish people. As two scholars put it:
“Those who believe Paul taught such ideas are able to cite many passages from his own writings in support of their interpretation. If they are right, he must be held responsible for the theological anti-Judaism that soon grew up in the Church and proved to be the ancestor of later anti-Semitism. In any case, since his writings so eloquently set forth the Christian myth, inherently anti-Jewish as it turned out to be, he can hardly escape all responsibility for the implications that later generations found in it."
"So when it comes to the question of the origin of Christian hatred for Jews, Paul is at the story's center. His letters, as the oldest extant Christian writings, show him at his most flawed. His rage, prejudice, and self-obsession are as evident as his courage, gentleness, and faith."
By 100 CE, Christianity was an exclusively non-Jewish religion.
