Made me more sad for him than anything. Never know who might save his life one day. But that's another conversation. Also in unplugging I feel like my brain actually is sharpening up again as I rely more on the physical world to take in information rather than apps on the phone. I have flashes of what people said… An ICU nurse whispered in my ear, “you have to get better, your husband says he can’t go home without you & I believe him more than I have believed anyone. And I have to say unplugging myself has had some amazing effects. Mainly, all the hatred that I felt inundated with has practically vanished. Blacks and whites are actually getting along. I still hear racist type stuff, but not directed at me. Other day went out to eat and heard black dude at next table talking about him and white don't get along. Made me more sad for him than anything. Never know who might save his life one day. But that's another conversation. I’m going to show my age here. But when my step father was going to LCMS seminary in Ft. Wayne in 1980’s. I was in elementary school. They had a professor that did workshops on satan & the music industry. I as a kid didn’t believe it. Felt my step dad was ridiculous. As an adult, I realized it is absolutely true. We need to pay attention to what we listen to and the messages being played. When you say you like a song because of the beat & aren’t listening to the words. Your brain still hears the words, that’s a fact. Think of it like when someone is in a coma and their brain still hears. 5 years ago while in another state helping a family member. I suddenly collapsed with septic shock. I was on life support, on a vent, kidneys failed, vascular collapse requiring many blood transfusions, checked my brain waves as I was unconscious for days. I have flashes of what people said… An ICU nurse whispered in my ear, “you have to get better, your husband says he can’t go home without you & I believe him more than I have believed anyone. Keep fighting your way back.” Your brain listens more than you realize.

@Christine California- these award shows are not what they seem. They are a list of "who's who" in the industry and performers showing what they believe and with whom they associate with. It's kind of like the Monday morning meeting at work, or the teacher in a class taking roll call. Anyway, these people are "required" in their "religions" to provide disclosure to the public of what they're doing and whom they serve. They believe that if they don't it will affect them in a "karma-type" way. This award does both, taking roll call and showing the public what they're doing. Ta-da.
There are many different aspects in society- music, art, sports, cooking, business, retail, government at the local, state, county, federal levels. Hear me clearly- every one of these areas of life (and many others I've not mentioned) has its own sell-outs. This award show is tells us who's in the club in music, and if I see an independent artist in it, that means several things have happened: ¹they took the hollywood deal ²they are no longer independent of the system ³they have lost fans ⁴they've lost credibility.
