What reasonable budget upgrades would you recommend for the "Match 1/10 scale Excellent Racer? Not sure on motor ratings or how to properly gauge them when upgrading. Any help would be awesome, mostly driven in dirt, clay, rocks, jumps. Top speed is fun but I'm okay with 50mph. It does 23mph stock :)

You can use a 3650 size, 4500 kv Brushless motor paired with 80 amp ESC, 2s-3s capable. Then latyer on if you want to go a little bit faster you can change to a slightly bigger pinion gear.

Make sure that all wheels are well aligned and there is no slop in steering system

use a better quality battery, some good cap pack and you should be hitting more than 160+kmh.
