People don't understand that EVs are NOT zero emission, they are zero TAILPIPE emission.

Correct, but they also forget about the huge carbon foot print caused by the building of the batteries.

I have no dog in this game. ICE and electric have their place. Disclaimer: I don't have an electric car. The future is electric. We just have to accept that. I believe it will become more efficient. The Ted-Talk guy does have one flaw. He used a theorical 400 mile battery vs a real ice vehicle. I don't think that comparison isn't fair. That car and battery doesn't exist. There's nuance to this, let's not generalized and use blanket statement. Let's not hate on each other too. Discuss, learn, understand and decide next steps.

The problem is the technology is not there yet and we're being forced to adopt under this idea of ecological responsibility. E85 is a far more clean option and yet no position is forcing that. I did a whole video on this.

Totally understand, but we gotta start somewhere. Unless we adopt electrification, the battery makers aren't interested in making new battery tech. Also agree on e85.

The grid cannot support an all electrical fleet. Not everyone has access to charging at home. Climate is always changing. Hedging their bets by betting on both sides of the climate coin.

Even the US Electeic Survey stated that on whole the nation's grid can only support 70% of the electric cars on the road
