So many new/returning players on Reddit recently, all asking for advice of some kind. This is a great vid for them and a series would be well received I am sure. Much more useful than getting a couple sentences on Reddit, and a nice segue into your guides for slayer/bossing etc as they often ask those questions as well.
Off hand glaive does have one very important perk: it doesn't require ammo. If you use a main hand without ammo, you want the offhand without ammo as well
Piggying on this: there's *one* situation where the glaive actually *does* increase damage, due to the fact that the it doesn't use ammo, and that's when using bane bolts, which are tier 60 ammo. Your main hand crossbow will be capped at t60 damage, but the glaive will do t80 damage while still benefiting from the bane effect. This feature is also shared with darts and crystal chakrams, though darts have the downside of having a slightly shorter range than crossbows.
Been playing RS3 on/off for years but always been overwhelmed by the amount of weapons/armour etc so stuck to pure skilling, will use this and branch out into PVM as always wanted to give it a proper go, cheers!
They really need to buff tank armour to not be trash compared to power armour tiers below it. I understand not giving tank armour comparable damage to power armour because tank duh, but atleast give it more stuff to make it really worth it as a "tank"
@@samme79 yeah, similar to how achto has a set effect that helps 'tank' Kinda crazy how the armour with one of the best tank set effects is in power armour and trimmed masterwork

Brought my lotd for 19m cashed out at 70m. Been trying to get more people to realise that it’s not needed unless super high tier shit. Will be selling my mw tomorrow and getting another set of bandos to get with my augd masutas. Great vid! Keep it up over the new year
Oh nice! Masutas is super underrated aswell. Really good weapon man. Good luck with the gains and nice profit on the lotd! Thanks for the kind words ❤️
Absolutely loved this video! I'm coming back to rs3 after a while and this kind of info is priceless since it helps for sure in the long run of things. Thanks for making it!
been correcting this for YEARS, but the thing about t85 gwd2 offhands is only fully correct for melee and ranged. when casting spells from your spellbook such as vuln or entangle or ancient spells and dual wielding with mage, the hand that is used for casting the spell ROTATES between the two. by using a t80 mage offhand instead of a cwyir orb, you are really hurting your debuff and ancient spell accuracy.
Learned a couple things here as a returning player. I didn't make the LOTD mistake though! Rocking a sweet blood fury with bandos and a masuta's warspear at the moment.
Great video man! I heard about the off-hand damage thing before in some video but I couldn't remember and it's not on the wiki. Thanks for bringing it up
Thank you very much for making a video like this. There are alot of people throwing irl cash into the game without givng the game a chance to make gp for them. When, like you said, alot of the higher priced beginner gear is simply not worth it. I hope more people find you video and watch it. Thank you again! Im an osrs player returning to rs3 and always need help haha
These tips are huge; a lot of these mistakes were ones I made as a newer player, or even just a player on a budget getting conflicting tips as to where to allocate my earned GP. Thanks yet again Maikeru! Glad you stick with us even through all the at times frustrating comments that can come through. Just know we appreciate you
Not really, those things are typically bought as a luxury, helping with porters and a little money back from RDT + chance at HSR. I guess brooch pays for itself if you're going for 120 buyables on portables, but again has a hefty buy-in cost. Typically just buy those things if/when your budget allow and it makes sense to with your goals. If 120 skills aren't your goal, they're not going to be anywhere near as worth.
For skilling, get a gote asap if you plan to do allot of gathering skills. Gathering skills typically (but not always) do not cost you anything to do, so the cost of investment into a gote is not a problem, because you don’t really have anything else the money could be going to. The sooner you get a gote, the sooner it will pay for itself, and it does so pretty quickly. If you are skilling focused then ya get gote asap, even avoid doing gathering skills till you have it if possible. As for lotd, useless for skilling without the gote, and even with the gote the chances you get a hsr are low af (higher then chance from lvl though because of how many rolls you get skilling) so not a huge priority to get this, but still good to get eventually to avoid the heartbreak of a roll on the hsr table without the ring on.
I don't play rs3. I only play osrs. Didn't understand most of the things you talked about. Still watched the entire thing, because this legitimately sounds like a really good guide.
Ive switched to osrs and havent played rs3 in 4 years. What gear should i get? Ive still got full pernix nox bow, full malevolent dont think i have melee weps. Im maxed combat and slayer with 80+skills apart from the new skills. I have about 400/500m in shards i could spend
Hi, may I ask you to recommend good tier 70 weapons for the three combat styles? I just started almost a month ago and I am still lost on the weapon part. Thank you :D
2:15 does this mean there is 0 point in buying tier 92 off hands for ranged / magic? just always stick with tier 80 and it will output the exact same damage? (other than if you care about your two weapons looking cosmetically the same?)
The damage is 33% of your overall damage. The accuracy is not accounted for. So t92 offhands have t92 damage, making them far better than t80. But the way the cywir orb works in particular is that its t85, but has t80 damage and t90 accuracy, so its just a virtus book in terms of damage tier, coz accuracy doesnt matter for offhands. Seismics are t90/t90 so it's still +10 tiers on damage with 33% of the total, and 66% comnig from the mainhand.
Saw this video linked somewhere and assumed it would be old, but the mention of LotD price made me realize it's actually really new. Don't think I was making any of these mistakes, but it was informative all the same.
Yes, because faster killtimes = less food used overall, and with budget perks you can still rock stuff like enhanced devoted 4 which help a ton with tanking some hits. Plus with food like blue blubber jellyfish, you dont even get punished with adren loss for eating.
Coming back from what is technically a 4 year layoff and not originally being a PVMer (bosses), this was very informative. Thanks man. I'm looking at getting Invention up before I start bossing just since I gather augmented gear with perks are almost essential to do them efficiently. Which bosses would you recommend I do first to get a feel for mechanics and stuff? Something like a Vindicta?
Yeah indeed! Vindicta and QBD are my favourite "entry" bosses. Then moving to stuff like helwyr for increased defensive use over vindicta. Then stuff like Ed2/Rax :D Gl with the gains!
Quite useful. I was using luck of dwarfs with elder rune armour instead of masterwork... Nvm, what's your opinion on upgrading from dragon rider lance by cleaning bank out for nox scyth and standard masterwork??
I know this video in a few months old, but when I checked how abilities are calculated on the wiki, it says that that damage only applies for melee; not range or magic. The magic and range calculations use spells and ammo as the calculations vs raw damage as melee does. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding this. T85 with T90 accuracy + highest spell/ammo would be much better than t80 with t80 accuracy, right?
Highest spell and ammo are capped at the damage of a weapon. So a t80 weapon will always be capped at t80 damage even with t90 bolts. Same applies with the gwd2 weps as they have t80 damage being t85, they wont go any higher than t80 damage.
@@MaikeruRSSo then a follow up question. Wouldn't defenders for range/mage be really good since they don't have raw damage as melee does? And wouldn't they be alright for telos learning/camping edit: oh, you answered my question since defenders are capped at half the damage regardless.
Is there a compiled list in terms of progression of all the gear in the game somewhere? Im still hearing about items ive never heard of and ive been playing on and off since 04
Great video man, ive been trying to guide my returning friend's, while not scaring them off overloading them with info. These vids are great in bursts keeps them interested without overloading them with info and tips tricks turning them off. This approach is 👍🏻
Because of your advice on e.g. Lotd would you say it is worth just selling the forts or making your own alchemical gems to sell rather than having it? Reason being I have been going lots of clues recently and saving up the Fort components
Wait so, even if I reach 90 défense I should still use Brando’s which is 75?(or 70 can’t remember) but for example I just bought vesta’s armour and it’s really good, giving better defense and strength bonus! What are your tought? I want to know
Huge video, thanks for the information. I’m a failure that can’t do more than 3 rax kills per rotation even with pernix and ascensions, it’s a hard life
I appreciate your insight on the video. If I may, I would like to point some things out. if I understand it right, the idea right now is to focus on the offensive moreso on the defensive. This is definitely the right move, but there's a catch to this strategy. this strategy works IF you are very well aware of what's happening around you, you know the mechanics of things and boss fights, and you have really good reflexes. unfortunately, not everyone is that well aware, and not everyone has well refined reflexes. that is not to say that people can't learn, but you can't learn without being punished for it. I like to think of tank armor being something like training wheels: you can learn how to develop your awareness and reflexes with it, but you dont wan't to get too comfortable with it. you only would want to have that tank armor long enough to help you develop the reflexes and awareness needed. When you have enough experience with the game, then it would be appropriate to go full on offensive with power armor. Going full offensive too early without the reflex and awareness skills may be a bit dangerous, but everyone's case is different. on top of that, it also depends on how the boss fight works and how hard hitting everything is. now that i think about it, it very well could be that the balance on armor and damage on bosses and whatnot may not be so finely tuned that it may actually be more punishing to wear tank armor.
Yeah i understand that. But you also need to remember. Typically things people die to, or need to improve on is typeless damage or other things that don't actually get solved by armour on gear. For example, at rax the blob kills a lot of people, alongside the insta kill spider, web and mirrorback. Tank armour would not save you against these things, practice will. Same applies for a decent amount of other bosses. Not to mention, the faster you phase a boss, the hard you hit, the easier the kills normally are at so many different places. You get punished for bad dps, and gear can be a factor in that.
@@MaikeruRS ah okay. i didn't think about the typeless damage. It would only make sense to just straight up go full on offensive no matter what and just take some time to practice the bosses like you've explained in the video. I apologize for the redundancy of my comment. My speculations were based on the thought of if typeless damage was not a thing, which was beyond my clarity. i appreciate you clearing things up for me.
Never have to say sorry my man :) Always love a good chat and discussion about different things! Hope the gains are treating you well and thanks for the comments
I'm a returning player. Got full T90's with the cash I had in the bank and perked everything with sub-85 invention perks. At least having 4 augments will make it easier for me to lvl up invention so I can get the ones you're recommending, right? I hope my cash stack lasts long enough for the div charges. I only get ~8 hours' worth of use for some 8m worth of charges, so it's either I do mostly bossing to 85 invention, or use my T70 set. Tbh I feel like I've thrown away the money I obtained from hundreds of hours farming bandos 10 years ago lol
@Maikeru I have a LotD that i bought back when they were like 25-30m. I quit and just recently came back. Would you recommend selling it to invest in t90 gear and just buying it again later down the line once i have better gear?
In my opinion, unless you're getting an important t90 weapon/inquisitors staff, just keep it and grind out the money. If you sell now it could jump up in price costing you more, and it'd just being annoying to have that happen
I have all three nox weapons augmented, souls amulet/ring of death, augmented pernix/virtus/masterwork.. should I grab lotd or just upgrade to ascensions? I have 90m atm
I bought it a looong time ago when it was like 30m, after I had a scythe and other T90s, and I’ve used it pretty much every time I’ve farmed any trash mobs and on every slayer task. Since buying the LotD, I’ve gotten 120 in slayer, attack, strength, defence, constitution, magic, and currently have 113 ranged. I got the LotD around the time all those skills were 99-101 ish. How much of a difference has the LotD really made for me in all that time?
i just run around in full dragonrider for the prayer bonus and its hybrid i think if i remember right. lol i had pay a pretty penny too cause noone sells its i still dont get invention you got a video on that? im like 60+ or somthing lol idk LOTD came in clutch last night at rune dragons got me a tip
The armor part makes good point, and RS3 players know it, in a general sense. For beginners, tank armor is probably best, but once you start getting to bosses that dish out damage- tank armor helps a lot for low level players; because tank armor has the same defense stats as power armor 5 lvls below it. Ports (t85) armor has t90 power armor def, plus extra life points QBD range armor(t65) has t70 def stats and so forth It allows you higher defense at lower levels. Also, unless you have a good dps rotation- which you likely won't due to the time and money the needed abilities take to acquire -worry more about negating damage.
For what it’s worth, even at lower levels there are some pretty effective methods to make several mil an hour. Easy clue scrolls can be gathered and completed in under 5 minutes each if you’re fast, and you’re more likely than not going to get a 1m drop inside most of those clues
if you have the stats to even consider any gear in this video while 3m only being the most money you've had, what are you even doing with your time in the game?? he had a f2p video series making a mill an hour at like 40 crafting haha
I have full t90 weapons along with T92 MW, and pernix with virtus. (Nox staff and dual ascs, drygores + nox scythe), amulet of souls. Whats the next upgrade I should do? Essence of Finality?
Oh nice set ups :D It depends on which style you use the most. For example if you mainly melee I'd advise mutated barge. But if you want an upgrade for mage/range the eof would be lovely for the gstaff and/or dbow specs and giving you both amulets in 1. Although do remember it's upkeep is a lot higher than a souls too. So I had to buy a souls ammy for afk slayer alongside my eofs.
I've returned recently and got the Lotd when it was going for 25M~, i have masterwork, DRL, blood amulet. Should i sell the lotd and DRL to go for a nox scythe? Havent gotten into bossing yet since i still got some quests to do for SS.
Okay so I'm a ranger on my main most of the time. I love the style and always have. On my hcim, I'm mostly magic based because ez but I want to work towards being a ranged build. I have dinohide as the only augmented ranged armor and invention is low (66) so I'd love for ranged combat to be able to train it. Is the daggonoth power armor really better in the long run? Without perks or invention xp? I'm also tryna stay hc until max so I don't wanna do twins for anima.
Ironmen work a bit different to mains who can just buy stuff. Using dinohide armour to kill kree for armadyl would be pretty good. But honestly on my hcim i played it super safe and got overloads before a lot of my bossing and that helped tons also.
I'm not doing too bad but man did I get lucky. To not look like a noob even though I had 0 of the knowledge you just blessed me with. All of this makes sense, Great vid!
Could you make a video on what gear and weapons we should be using while we level up all the way to bis end game? Just came back 2 days ago and im completely lost on whats good and theres off hands now
Coming back from a 6 year break im still just sitting here smelting the 80,000 gold ore i got from getting mining to 99 when i was last active, ill use those to get the gold for members and eventually would like to get into PvM to keep up with member these were good tips. Im still a bit overwhelmed with all the updates but will get used to it
Good information. Just got a computer today to get back into the game. I’m looking forward to it. Been lacking a way to get on it. I have Apple on my phone side so the beta is not out yet last I knew.
100% agree with u with not buying lotd but imagine getting the drop and not having ring my heart would shatter lol + didn't know about ripper claw thanks
I have a scavenging perk on a limitless fire staff and I can't even use the staff. I'm lvl 65 in magic and need to be lvl 82 to use the staff. I didn't prioritize right.
Would you sell your LOTD if you use it for clue scrolls? I don’t tend to even do PVM but I thought the best luck ring is the thing to aim for in general?
If you don't do pvm and you don't need the money while doing clues, no need to sell the ring. It will also help a little while obtaining them. Although it is good to note that a ring of fortune is the exact same for hard clues as a lotd. As they only need tier 3 luck that the fortune provides. You only 'need' tier 4 luck for elites and masters.
i would still recommend tank armour for mage though if you use the animate dead spell, even after the recent rebalance. especially for bossing and slayer. the other styles, 100% go power armour, but i wouldnt go power for mage unless youre already quite good at pvm. the amount of extra damage youd do with power armour compared to animate dead's added survivability doesnt really win out in my books.
Yeah, it's literally crazy. Something like 15k gp/kill added to rax legs chance or something tiny haha! Definitely not worth the 67.5m when starting out.
Have to disagree with the whole power armor is king and better than tank armor. You can really see when some people have been doing high level pvm for so long they tend to forget how amazing tank armor can be for low to mid level players and for HCIM/IM. I mean i thought this was for NEW and RETURNING PLAYERS. New players and some Returning Players will not have access to Scrimshaws/ss/auras and ect 1) Tank armor isn't for high level pvm its for low to mid level pvm. It's for the players that don't have scrimshaws/SS/auras to help heal themselves or they just don't do enough dps to make these items useful YET. 2) Tank armor is also situational ie ( Guthans is better than Bandos at frost dragons when you don't have any other healing methods other than the armor and weapons themselves at the same level.) Guess what this can help you get your 92 prayer for SS so you can start using power armor over tank armor even faster if you don't want to buy prayer. 3) When you dont have Scrims/SS/Auras Tank armor allows for greater heals over power armor when using your Healing abilities, which almost NO HIGH LEVEL PVM'er really uses these days because they have Scrims/SS/Auras. Overall this video make me feel sad as its ONLY from a HIGH LEVEL PVM perspective and not for new players. New players should be taught when they should start making the transition not just being taught TANK ARMOR BAD.
Things that the LOTD can do that the Ring of Fortune can't: - Teleport to Keldagrim. - (very slightly) increase chance to receive a unique drop from: Araxxi, Barrows: Rise of the Six, Beastmaster Durzag, Nex: Angel of Death, Solak, The Magister, Telos, the Warden, Vorago, and Yakamaru, not including boss pets. The 1% increase actually means 99% of the denominator (1/x), rounded up. - 2% chance of upgrading your trash geode when mining into a metamorphic geode. RoF only had 2% - +1% for rare clue-specific loot from elite and master clue scrolls, while RoF only had this boost up to hard clues. - 3% chance more to get rare drops from crystal chest and triskelions, when it was 2% with RoF. - Removes flax, raw lobsters, and molten glass from RDT. Used to be trash. Some are actually valuable now. - Chance to get Vecna skull and HSR from RDT - Destroy your cash stack.
this is such useful information wow, so does this mean i can use an OH chaotic crossbow with my shadow glaive? i thought i heard somewhere that using main and OH shadow glaives deals more damage?
offhand chaotic alongside the glaive would actually be better technically, coz it would allow you to use bak bolts for the off-hand. i believe they proc less only being off-hand, but its something! :D
I invested in a LotD when I came back, but I think it was worthwhile since I spend 9+ hours a day afking skills and I use it extensively for both skilling and combat since it's non-degradable. I got two failed rolls for the HSR within the first two months but nothing since.
Im currently working on shadow glaves for a planted feet and a flanking switch. Worth grinding these out or just use chaotics? I will be doin dps with asc xbows. Ironman btw
for an ironman, you could always look into putting planet feet on a sunspear, that way it can be a swap for mage and range, if you're dpsing with other gear it'll only be worn for a second, then swapped back.
Hi Maikeru! Loved the video. I used to have a maxed main before I quit, now Archeology came out, and I'm no longer max. I decided to start an ironman. I would love it if you could make a video on the things are best worth it to focus on a returning player / new ironman guide! :)
Ironman guide content would be quite fun. Just not 100% sure what people want to know / struggle with on ironmen. Anything in particular you are struggling with or would like more info on?
@@MaikeruRS Hmm. Things I'm mostly thinking about are things like the most important quests / quest rewards, not sure what bosses to start doing after getting power armor in GWD1.. Important Invention perks to focus on, stuff like that. I started playing mainly because of Dovydas being back, and since, I have seen a crapload of ironmen around my level, so I think there might be a decent audience looking for this info. :)
So ive had lotd since it was cheap. Currently max cmbt but still need to get my skilling up. Should i melt my cmbt gear except a single set to focus on skilling/buyables
Depends how much money you have. Using a mainhand ascension and offhand chaotic will still be strong and worth it. But duel wield ascensions will obviously increase the Offhands damage by 10 tiers which is beneficial. But the mainhand is a bigger upgrade to get first than Offhands, always. But if you don't have a different style, for less than that 200m you could get drygores and an obliteration staff and have the choice of different styles for diff bosses, which would be good.
@@MaikeruRS Interesting, rocking max range with max perks, including elite sirenic and ascensions instead of t92s though. Whereas I'm having to use t85 melee weapons with t92 masterwork. I guess grind raksha and hope for upgrade cash 🤣 Would love to chat about things like this some time, the technical comparisons that border cost effectiveness and dps effectiveness. Thanks brother
Learning so much from you man thank you. Honestly though dude, I watxh so many bossing guides and action bar set ups. I’m maxed combat stats, with overloads and 99 summoning but I’m still so so so bad at bossing :(((((
I recommend trying to learn GW2 especially vindicata. Go with a Yak full of shark until you get the hang of it, then work toward using a ripper demon instead. Use Penance to help you focus on mechanics (there's not many) and less on healing, prayer restore, and juggling mechanics. Try to learn solo if possible so you are forced to understand it better, but duo is viable too. As for a bar set up, Google whatever your using dual/single, and get gw1 abilities unlocked (Sacrifice, Devoted) as well as Mazcab if you're using range/mage. As long as you use minimum t80 equipment, you should be alright getting 3 or 4 kills per trip while learning :)
@@Beit_sitti Just practice friend, keep at it, if you eat 1 yak full for 1 kill then try to look at where you're going wrong, and fix it. (In that case, you either need better gear, or you need to move out of the fire xD) Keep pushing till you understand the mechanics :)

been correcting this for YEARS, but the thing about t85 gwd2 offhands is only fully correct for melee and ranged. when casting spells from your spellbook such as vuln or entangle or ancient spells and dual wielding with mage, the hand that is used for casting the spell ROTATES between the two. by using a t80 mage offhand instead of a cwyir orb, you are really hurting your debuff and ancient spell accuracy.
This is great! I am sending this video to several people I know who are fairly new/returning player. It is a huge help.
Thanks for bringing it up
Happy to help as always man, thanks for the kind words and for watching :)
Just know we appreciate you
Honestly not buying a stockpile of cinderbane gloves at 1m is the biggest oof moment of my career.

Is there a skilling counterpart? How and when is the best time to get all the fancy stuff like GoTE and stuff?
Awesome! This is the kind of information that I find super useful and helpful. I was clueless about weapon upgrades and Ancient perks!
Just started playing again after 9 years. pretty much done everything on this list LOL
Definitely would appreciate more vids like this, super helpful mate thanks! :D
I found it very helpful personally. Keep bringing these types of videos for those of us who do enjoy them and get good information from them.
i came back to the game 5 days ago after a 4 year break really needed this vid thank you
Welcome back! Hope yoyre enjoying rs3 again and happy to help ❤️ thanks for watching
This is why we(people who don't play often) love you ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi, may I ask you to recommend good tier 70 weapons for the three combat styles?
@@MaikeruRS i see, ty for clearing that up
Maikeru merching Ripper Claws over here ;)
Saw this video linked somewhere and assumed it would be old, but the mention of LotD price made me realize it's actually really new.
Don't think I was making any of these mistakes, but it was informative all the same.
Is bandos also better when killing arraxor , where you use overhead pray instead of soul split ? And not using a vamp scrim..
Yes, because faster killtimes = less food used overall, and with budget perks you can still rock stuff like enhanced devoted 4 which help a ton with tanking some hits.
Plus with food like blue blubber jellyfish, you dont even get punished with adren loss for eating.
@@MaikeruRS thanks a lot for the reply! Love the vids my man, keep up the great work !
Great video Maikeru!
Anyone else say “Hi guys, Maikeru here” at the same time as him?
LOL
Every video.
I mean I'll say, "Hi guys, microwave here," yeah
"Hi guys, Maicibai here"
This should get more attention, it's so helpful and I'd also love it if you made a second episode
Then stuff like Ed2/Rax :D
Gl with the gains!
wow im not a noob lol, other than offhands i thought they worked the otherway around and gave acc not damage
And wouldn't they be alright for telos learning/camping
edit: oh, you answered my question since defenders are capped at half the damage regardless.
This approach is 👍🏻
Yo Maikeru I love your videos, as I am a returning player!
Always spot on:)
I saw someone with full bandos, trimmed ammy of fury, and a ZAROS GODSWORD. I was confused
Man got his priorities straight
Because of your advice on e.g. Lotd would you say it is worth just selling the forts or making your own alchemical gems to sell rather than having it? Reason being I have been going lots of clues recently and saving up the Fort components
Wait so, even if I reach 90 défense I should still use Brando’s which is 75?(or 70 can’t remember) but for example I just bought vesta’s armour and it’s really good, giving better defense and strength bonus! What are your tought? I want to know
This was very helpful and I hope you do make more of this type video.
Huge video, thanks for the information. I’m a failure that can’t do more than 3 rax kills per rotation even with pernix and ascensions, it’s a hard life
Gotta start somewhere bud!
Good luck :D
If you dont have any t90 weapons, definitely would advise getting drygores to make the money back easier or something and rock a ring of fortune
The "hi guys, maikeru here" is at the same tier as "hello everyone, this is your daily dose of internet"
its rs3`s equivelant to hi.. and welcome to my guide.. slayermusiq1
I have all three nox weapons augmented, souls amulet/ring of death, augmented pernix/virtus/masterwork.. should I grab lotd or just upgrade to ascensions? I have 90m atm
Wow, this is not the kind of "returning players" video I expected. I have no idea about any of these things lol. Way too late game for me.
Ports (t85) armor has t90 power armor def, plus extra life points
QBD range armor(t65) has t70 def stats
and so forth
It allows you higher defense at lower levels. Also, unless you have a good dps rotation- which you likely won't due to the time and money the needed abilities take to acquire -worry more about negating damage.
“Budget build at 80M”
Meanwhile there’s me with 3M in the bank being the most I’ve ever had.
Ikr he's so unaware of lower budget players he thinks everyone has 100m to spend smh
For what it’s worth, even at lower levels there are some pretty effective methods to make several mil an hour. Easy clue scrolls can be gathered and completed in under 5 minutes each if you’re fast, and you’re more likely than not going to get a 1m drop inside most of those clues
@@jmwturneruk But 100mil isn't that difficult to achieve anymore.
1m+ in an hour is available at extremely low levels. Money making isn’t as much of a grind as was in the old days.
if you have the stats to even consider any gear in this video while 3m only being the most money you've had, what are you even doing with your time in the game??
he had a f2p video series making a mill an hour at like 40 crafting haha
I have full t90 weapons along with T92 MW, and pernix with virtus. (Nox staff and dual ascs, drygores + nox scythe), amulet of souls.
Whats the next upgrade I should do? Essence of Finality?
Oh nice set ups :D
It depends on which style you use the most.
Nice video man! I always like these type of vids, although it seems like you saw me in the past with the armour upgrades first 😂
I've returned recently and got the Lotd when it was going for 25M~, i have masterwork, DRL, blood amulet.
20 lvl gap (t55-t75?) And if you have even bad perks it's probably best to use the perked gear
Ironmen work a bit different to mains who can just buy stuff.
Using dinohide armour to kill kree for armadyl would be pretty good.
But honestly on my hcim i played it super safe and got overloads before a lot of my bossing and that helped tons also.
@@MaikeruRS ye I'm at 88 herb now. Hoping to get some soon (:
I'm not doing too bad but man did I get lucky. To not look like a noob even though I had 0 of the knowledge you just blessed me with. All of this makes sense, Great vid!
Could you make a video on what gear and weapons we should be using while we level up all the way to bis end game? Just came back 2 days ago and im completely lost on whats good and theres off hands now
Very useful for a returning player, thanks!
Hi! Love your content!
You got budget perk guide, how about if I wanna spend a little more money on perks. Have you got guide on that?
Honestly quality vid man. I learned a lot!
100% agree with u with not buying lotd but imagine getting the drop and not having ring my heart would shatter lol + didn't know about ripper claw thanks
Yeah, I understand that - but honestly it's worth taking the risk for a little while :D
Happy to help with the claws info :)
this reminds me of the week of the luck rework, i got a cheese plus tom batta from airuts...
I have a scavenging perk on a limitless fire staff and I can't even use the staff. I'm lvl 65 in magic and need to be lvl 82 to use the staff.
I didn't prioritize right.
Excellent content as always
One question popped to my mind, is Drygore longsword offhand better than offhand khopeshi then?
It's probably better to stick to an off hand ripper claw, since it's T85 damage. You won't lose much damage, and off hand style doesn't count as well.
Great tips for gear but where do I go with all this gear? I do Hellhounds currently.
Depends what you're looking for, can do slayer or entry level bosses like vindicta pretty well with gear like this
Luck of the Dwarves increases droprates by like 1% in most cases, it's almost nothing. Good video, would like more in the future.
Yeah, it's literally crazy.
Something like 15k gp/kill added to rax legs chance or something tiny haha! Definitely not worth the 67.5m when starting out.
what is virtus book? is that mage book?
Could you make or have you made a video on how to start an ironman acct? What to prioritize etc...
I have a series on my Hcim.
A few things have changed with mining and smithing rework, otherwise its still pretty much the same
Have to disagree with the whole power armor is king and better than tank armor. You can really see when some people have been doing high level pvm for so long they tend to forget how amazing tank armor can be for low to mid level players and for HCIM/IM. I mean i thought this was for NEW and RETURNING PLAYERS. New players and some Returning Players will not have access to Scrimshaws/ss/auras and ect
1) Tank armor isn't for high level pvm its for low to mid level pvm.
Things that the LOTD can do that the Ring of Fortune can't:
- Teleport to Keldagrim.
RoF only had 2%
- +1% for rare clue-specific loot from elite and master clue scrolls, while RoF only had this boost up to hard clues.
- 3% chance more to get rare drops from crystal chest and triskelions, when it was 2% with RoF.
- Removes flax, raw lobsters, and molten glass from RDT. Used to be trash. Some are actually valuable now.
- Chance to get Vecna skull and HSR from RDT
- Destroy your cash stack.
Love your videos bro, keep going 💪
So I should fix my elder rune, sell it and buy bandos? Having trouble on ed3... MAX MELEE/HP......95 prayer
this is such useful information wow, so does this mean i can use an OH chaotic crossbow with my shadow glaive? i thought i heard somewhere that using main and OH shadow glaives deals more damage?
offhand chaotic alongside the glaive would actually be better technically, coz it would allow you to use bak bolts for the off-hand.
i believe they proc less only being off-hand, but its something! :D
@@MaikeruRS awesome thank you so much!!
I invested in a LotD when I came back, but I think it was worthwhile since I spend 9+ hours a day afking skills and I use it extensively for both skilling and combat since it's non-degradable. I got two failed rolls for the HSR within the first two months but nothing since.
Useful guide as always. I love hearing the Welsh words in runescape being said by an Englishman 👍 it makes my day.
Sorry if i butchered the words haha
Im currently working on shadow glaves for a planted feet and a flanking switch. Worth grinding these out or just use chaotics?
I will be doin dps with asc xbows.
Ironman btw
for an ironman, you could always look into putting planet feet on a sunspear, that way it can be a swap for mage and range, if you're dpsing with other gear it'll only be worn for a second, then swapped back.
Thank you, saves me loads of time goin for the shadow glaves.
What weapon should I use as planted feet switch for ranged? Chaotic?
Could always use a sunspear for both range and mage planted feet swap in 1 item
So is using an offhand Ascension crossbow not worth the price at high end bossing? Or should I save that 200m+ for a different style weapon
I’m maxed combat stats, with overloads and 99 summoning but I’m still so so so bad at bossing :(((((
Honestly it's all practice makes perfect, even once you get the gear, abilities and rotations/bars.
Keep going and you'll keep improving my man!
@@sairentoeko damm you must be good I’m maxed and I’m so noob on it
@@Beit_sitti Just practice friend, keep at it, if you eat 1 yak full for 1 kill then try to look at where you're going wrong, and fix it. (In that case, you either need better gear, or you need to move out of the fire xD) Keep pushing till you understand the mechanics :)
