- "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," is the theme of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's episode. Dr. King, who sprang into national prominence for his leadership of the Montgomery, Alabama, segregated bus boycott, is interviewed by Negro lawyer and Minneapolis civic leader Municipal Court Judge L. Howard Bennet. The two men discuss in detail the struggle which still faces the American Negro in his effort for equal treatment.

This represents King's early politics at which point he had bought into the narrative that communism, not western imperialism, is the great threat to world peace. His position changed.
Both were a threat and were willing to blow up the world for their respective ideologies
@@1984isnotamanual the respective ideologies being a) extract from the masses to create a wealthy class versus b) attempt to create a more egalitarian society. Personally, I think we should give the latter ideology some more time to develop
This interview obviously was before his travels to the North.
I just wanted to say your channel is truly a blessing, it has exposed me to much more of our history and the true nature of this society than I would have been otherwise. Do you happen to have a group or anything where you all discuss different topics more in depth? If so a brother would love to join.
Following.
🥀 Thank You!
This interview is so accurate and meaningful

Five weeks straight in India in 1959 with Coretta, did everyone know about that tour? Instead of talking about the power of a government made by man, the power of the laws of God need to be highlighted and enforced.
I was a kid then, but everyone was still hysterically anti-communist from McCarthyism and that Canadian priest from the '30's on the radio from Detroit.

Can’t
He was doing alright until he told people not to drink cocca cola. People don't realise how unimportant racial movements are compared to cocca cola. I'm not saying I think it's more important I'm saying we all do
JFK was also silly enough to use his platform to promote anti capitalism

You don’t find it ironic how you have a picture of one of the most capitalist toy brand ever, Pokémon.
crikey i didnt realise the questioner was black until near the end
Poor Dr. King - little did he realize that in the 21st century African Americans would mostly ignore his "dream" speech and label almost everything as "Black."
mlk talks so boring
He MLK talked in 1961 about black crime and stop blaming whites for everything.
Liar
It’s the truth
He ruined our community.
