Hello Wemakescholar, I am applying for education loan for my BTech course. I am eligible for Jansamarth but my SBI branch is asking for Vidya Lakshmi only. My total loan amount is 3,64,000 Rs. After that I went to Canara Bank, they also asked me for Vidya Lakshmi portal. They told "We will apply for you for CSIS scheme after you apply for loan but now you have to apply for Vidya Lakshmi only"
Hello, If your bank branch is recommending that you apply for an education loan and subsidy through the Vidya Lakshmi portal, we suggest following their advice. Recently, banks have been prioritizing applications submitted via the Vidya Lakshmi portal over those on the Jan Samarth portal, so we recommend speaking with the concerned bank.
Mam i saw some comments Someone applied through jansamarth also they are eligible for subsidy but bank refused to take application further because they applied through jan samarth in this scenario student will suffer because they can't reapply through vidyalaksmi. My view on this I doesn't care about subsidy i just want education loan at the end i need the loan so i apply through vidya Lakshmi portal to prevent this type of issues.
Hello, Some banks do not accept applications submitted through the Jansamarth portal. However, to avail the CSIS scheme, it is mandatory to apply through the Jansamarth portal and ensure that the bank accepts the application. If you are seeking one-on-one assistance with your education loan process and your required education loan is more than 7.5 lakhs, our team can help you. We are partnered with 15+ banks, a dedicated financial officer will analyze your profile and connect you with suitable banks. Mam I want a Scholar loan for my post graduation studies from NITs. So is it bttr to apply through Jansamarth as we are falling under the CSIS scheme. But there is a doubt mam, How many days it takes to sanction my loan ( i will do this through SBI of my district branch ). The reason i want to know the days is because i will receive the provisional admission letter very late as there will be less than a week in between getting an admission letter and physical reporting and Fees submission. Can you please help me out !!, I will get my admission letter somewhere around the 1st week of August. And One more question mam, Should I start the registration on the Jansamarth portal or I should wait for my Admission letter then I will apply ?

Hello, If you want to avail the CSIS you should apply through the Jansamarth portal, not the Vidyalakshmi portal. Please watch this video on checking eligibility for the CSIS scheme and the form-filling process on the Jansamarth portal using this link: ruclips.net/video/1qdzHGnoqEs/видео.htmlsi=_JmqNnQoww9G2zwK. Try talking to the bank manager and make them understand that you want to through the Jansamarth portal. If you have not taken any loan before then the CIBIL won't be seen and you can take an education loan. If you still facing any issues with your CIBIL score kindly talk to the concerned bank. Hope you have understood.
Hello, It is not possible to apply through both portals. If you have already applied on the Vidya Lakshmi portal, you cannot apply again on the Jansamarth portal, and vice versa. We recommend confirming which portal you used to apply and informing the bank accordingly to avoid further complications. Hope you have understood

Hello, Some banks don't accept applications through the Jansamarth portal. We suggest you try talking to the bank manager and make them understand that you want to through the Jansamarth portal to avail of the CSIS subsidy scheme. Hope you have understood.
Hello Priyank, The Jansamarth portal and the CSIS subsidy scheme are applicable only to students intending to study in India. Since you are planning to study abroad, you should apply through the Vidyalakshmi portal. However, getting an education loan for medical studies is difficult, so we suggest you to opt for a secured education loan, and our team can help you with the process. Mam i aaplied on jansamarth portal and my application also succed but i want amount of 452000 and i fill the same in form but it should u get digital approval of 282000 mam what is that happened and what should i do now
Hello Yash, Banks typically do not offer the full education loan amount due to a concept called loan margin. Usually, banks cover around 90% of the expenses, and the remaining amount must be arranged by the student. However, in your case, the margin is significantly high. We recommend speaking with the concerned bank manager.

Hello Ajay, To be eligible for the CSIS scheme the income of the family should be less than 4.5 lakhs, and the basic format of the income certificate provided by authorities is accepted. Hope you have understood.
Certificate received from tehsildar is only accepted. Apply it through any janseva kendra and get it with in a week. This is the only document valid as income proof now for getting interest subsidy on education loan. I did the same for my daughter education loan from Indian Bank
Mam I applied education loan through vidhyalakshmi portal and bank (SBI) Accepted the application and processed also then after they are asking me to apply the loan through jana samarth portal and give the application . Is that ok mam

@WeMakeScholars What if they deny for subsidy after applying through Vidya Lakshmi.
