Additional questions:
* Do you have to be in grad school to join? No. Membership requirements state that in order to join, you need a four-year degree and the recommended GPA based on that organization. Check the organization's website for additional requirements.
* Is community service hours required? Yes.
* Should I still use discretion? It’s up to you. Some organizations state in their membership rules that solicitation for membership is inappropriate. You should check their website for more information.

Me too! I have been binge watching as well. I have been nervous to pursue my local grad chapter, but today is the day I am going to take a leap of faith! Also, I happened to run into a grad chapter member (wearing her sweater and all!) so I got her name and struck up a general convo and that was my sign lol💕 these videos are the best!

Grad chapters and discretion : very true that you have to make your interest known . However if you live in an area with several grad chapters of the same org ( my county has 4 Grad chapters of my org) , you have to decide which one you are going to pursue .
Word does get around if it seems like you are " shopping ".
Why does it matter which chapter you join if it's the same organization though?
Some people are concerned about finding the right fit which I can understand because when you join an organization, you’re joining (through that chapter) for life. And it’s important to join a chapter that you’ll love and thrive. I don’t agree with discretion but some orgs prefer this practice. It’s the members that have preferences on how you interact with them. Not all will think of an interest as “shopping” because the members want to recruit good fits as much as the interests do.

Hi. I am looking into alumnae chapters. If the org continues to stress about staying in their service area, but you attended a college that’s in their service area and the alumnae chapter was founded by the college you attended. Do you think that will make the application stronger because of that? Or just try to apply anyway? Or no?
You have to follow the organization's requirements to apply. If you're in the required area, then you shouldn't have issue with your application. I can't speak to how your history with the college will impact your application.
I have a question. I'm interested in an organization but i'm an online student but the organization is not on campus. I want to pursue the grad chapter that is not far from me. What should i do?

Thanks so much for this much informative video. I have a couple of questions.
Question 1
If you attended 2 schools for undergrad will the GPAs from both schools be considered or just the school in which you received the degree?

If you started grad school and have not yet completed is the GPA taken into consideration also?

Thank you. The organization will review your GPA from the institution where you received your degree. The GPA from undergrad is the main GPA that is reviewed by the organization. Some organizations may take your grad GPA into consideration. But UG is the default.

I am graduating this semester & the sorority that I have been pursuing decided that they will not be partaking in intake this semester🤦🏽♂️So I want to purse their grad chapter, but one question I have that no one seems to have the question to is if you have to be in Graduate school to join a grad chapter?

Hello, I am missing some clarity regarding this question: If you are in grad school and the university you are attending has an undergraduate chapter, can you join that chapter or do you have to join an alumnae chapter? Thanks in advance!
Because you have a 4-yr degree, you’re eligible for alumnae (graduate) membership, not undergraduate. The organization’s website has detailed membership requirements for reference

I want to pledge grad chapter in a particular sorority. In fact, this particular sorority, I always wanted to be a member. I did ask someone that was a member of this particular sorority, if it is alright to be a part of this sorority. This particular person took down my information. And did say they will get in touch with me. I haven't heard from this individual yet. How long should I wait to get back with this individual?

I am shocked about the number of denouncing videos. I've seen some for numerous sororities/fraternities. Some go through each symbol on the pins and patches and explain how they are evil pretty much.
Everyone has their own opinions and I respect that. These just surprised me 😮

Hello,I recently saw an interest group pop up whenever I went into the organization’s nationwide chapter locator.There is no contact info or email to inquiry about this chapter.I live in the area and this is definitely a new chapter so do I just wait until they make it public or do I reach out to corporate to get contact info?
The name of the chapter says “Interest group for Sunflower County”
It depends, does the organization accept solicitation for membership?

Hi, is it OK to ask about the membership fees at the informational OR will they tell about that during the meeting?
Check out my video on membership dues to give an idea of what to save. You’re not “supposed” to ask (I recommend not asking because it’s generally not an acceptable question from my experience). But you’re told this information during formal rush.
