Dijon is one of those artists that have been so cool to see grow and experiment with their music. I still think 2014 by Abhi/Dijon is one of the best alternative RnB albums ever and Dijon really just continue to knock it out of the park as a solo artist. Him helping Mk.Gee evolve his sound is also going to be really interesting to see going forward.

To be totally honest haven’t even heard of them! I’m listening now and it’s a great vibe, this is right up my street. Much appreciated for the recommendation, I’ll be investigating a bit more and who knows, maybe a video eventually haha💪
Mk.gee doesn't use a baritone guitar...a baritone guitar has a extended range scale neck...Mk.gee uses a standard Fender Jaguar setup to baritone - normal guitar+higher string gauge strings (flatwounds)+setup for Bb. When you talk about a baritone guitar you are talking about a different kind of guitar...is not a critic just to clear things up (and for people don´t go and buy baritones, they can do it with what they have already 😉). Great breakdown of Dijon producing style 👌✌

Thank u for this breakdown!! Really interesting and inspiring!
No problem at all my friend, interesting and inspiring is the best feedback I can ask for haha more videos coming soon💪
Very well spoken intuitive video. Thank you 🙏
Thank you very much my friend, that’s a very nice compliment, I really appreciate that honestly🙏
Respect my g, you did it again! 🔥 Thank you!
Thank you my guy, I really appreciate that🙏
Bless your heart for this video
Hahaha love this, “bless your heart” sounds like a compliment from my grandmother😂😂 thanks very much my friend!
Dijon is the best, this is a cool video. Thank youu
Agreed Dijon is the best haha and glad you enjoyed the video my friend! Hopefully you’ll enjoy the other videos coming soon✌️
This was very well done! Thank you. There’s another artist - Hether, that is quite niche too but you may like his sound and want to break it down
Hether is awesome, thats a great idea! Ill add that to my list of video ideas and if i manage to replicate his style accurately ill make the video, thanks for the recommendation my friend💪
You are great man, keep going just inspired me to finish this album im working on
Thank you very much dude and that’s sick! Definitely link me when you finish it, would be great to hear my friend💪
Great video, top 3 artist for me
Thanks bro and agreed, he’s easily top 3 for me and probably sitting at number 1 for the foreseeable future haha
I love your channel so much
I want videos everyday 😭❤️
Haha thank you so much, thats very kind my friend! Only issue is videos like this take soooo much research it takes me a while to make them. I am hoping to get videos out more regularly tho✌️
Dijon is incredible
You know it broski, lad is built different haha
Loved this! So helpful!
Good to hear dude! This one was a lot of effort but great to see that effort paying off. Thanks for the comment my friend✌️
Super fire video. I appreciate you
Love bro, glad you enjoyed and thanks for reaching out too✌️
Great tips my dude
Thanks very much man! More tips for another artist coming soon, hopefully you’re a fan on that person too💪
Awesome job man
Thanks very much Tyler, was a nightmare to make but I’m happy with how it turned out haha
i found out about dijon from no rome! VERY DOPE
Absolutely LOVE that song, Dijon glides on that beat. Super underrated song😤
Same here man. His music is production heroine. Same for Mk.Gee
Couldn’t agree more bro. And mk.gee definitely deserves a shoutout too, his music has always been great but the recent stuff with this Two Star project is phenomenal🙏
@@drewgrit_ agreed man. That and his museum of contradiction album are like my study book for texture atm. That two star shit has been on repeat for weeks for me 😭
hell yea man, that museum record is mental. His synth sounds are otherworldly! Great references for texture too, youre right💪
Thanks for the video, it makes me want to produce music again. I wish i had money to buy your samplepack lol
That’s awesome dude, inspiring someone to feel like producing again is the highest honour so thank you haha
And i appreciate that about the pack, it will always be there so you can always come back to it at another time my friend💪
Amazing breakdown 👏🏼
Thanks very much! Really glad that people are enjoying it and hopefully dijon drops another album soon so that maybe I can make a part 2👀 haha thanks for the comment my friend✌️
Thank you so much for making this.
No problem at all man, I’m glad you benefited from it🙏
Would love to see a MK.Gee video next if you had the time! Not enough content on his style.@@drewgrit_
Tbh i agree bro, mk.gee would be a great one, I love his new Two Star songs he released recently. Ive had those songs on repeat haha im definitely going to investigate a video about him. Hopefully i can recreate his style, im just not convinced i can yet😂
i love him so much
Me too again haha shoutout Dijon and thanks for the comments my friend💪
amazing stuff vro
Thank you very much bro, im glad you enjoyed it. Long live dijon haha
Fantastic job making a very inspiring video!!! Thank you!
Thanks very much dude, inspiring is the goal with every video so it’s great to hear feedback like this. Much appreciated my friend!
it’d be cool to see you do a wee breakdown of some of quadecas production style post IDMTHY. he’s a super interesting and unique producer.
I know who Quedeca is ofcourse but ive never really listened to his stuff tbh. Ill have an investigation and if i think i can replicate the music ill give the video a go💪 thanks for the recommendation my friend!
would love a video breaking down mk.gee's production, especially from 2019 onwards
Mk.gee is absolutely amazing too, I’ve been listening to those new Two Star tracks he’s released a LOT haha there’s definitely potential for a video about him. I just need to listen closer and see if there’s any good techniques I could pick out and dissect. I’ll add it to my list of video idea, thanks for the comment my friend✌️
great rundown!
Thank you very much my friend! Toughest breakdown I’ve made yet but it was worth it💪
fire!
You know whats up bro, much appreciated✌
up to the mark
Thanks very much dude, I tried my best so means a lot💪
great video man
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it my friend, it awesome seeing some many other people who connect with dijons music💪
You gotta do a vid on Abhi as well now (from Abhi // Dijon)!
I did think about including some abhi // Dijon stuff in this video actually! But because they aren’t working together anyone I didnt think there would be much interest in it from viewers. I’ll give it a think tho, thanks for the comment my friend💪
HELL YES! more "niche" shit! do what you love!
Hell yes indeed broski haha niche is king💪 I definitely won’t be afraid to do more niche stuff, the people have seemed to enjoy it!
Nice dude! Appreciate this
Hey man thanks very much, more videos coming soon. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them too✌️
Cafe sounds 🔥
Hahah you know it bro, cafe sounds do be lit🔥
you probably don’t do requests but even if you wouldn’t do a video on them, i highly recommended you listen to pearl and the oysters if you don’t already ! their music is soooo good
To be totally honest haven’t even heard of them! I’m listening now and it’s a great vibe, this is right up my street. Much appreciated for the recommendation, I’ll be investigating a bit more and who knows, maybe a video eventually haha💪
Dijon makes me weep
Me and you both my friend haha one of the best artists in the world right now, no doubt about it💪
NEW DREW !
Thank you very much my friend, trying my best😤
Mk.gee doesn't use a baritone guitar...a baritone guitar has a extended range scale neck...Mk.gee uses a standard Fender Jaguar setup to baritone - normal guitar+higher string gauge strings (flatwounds)+setup for Bb. When you talk about a baritone guitar you are talking about a different kind of guitar...is not a critic just to clear things up (and for people don´t go and buy baritones, they can do it with what they have already 😉). Great breakdown of Dijon producing style 👌✌
@@aavel1964 great info my friend, thanks for adding that to the conversation💪
Thank you so much for the vid 🙏
Also finally someone using Ableton !!
No problem my friend, glad you enjoyed! And ableton gang all day💪💪💪
Great vid!
Thanks very much dude! This dijon video was so much effort but comments like this make it all worth it. Much appreciated my friend💪
YES! bless you drew🫡
Hahaha thanks very much my friend, bless you too for watching and commenting😂🙏
Yezzzirrr that boi is back
Yezzzir yezzir, back in action and going to get the ball rolling from here man, thanks for the continued support dude💪
