Thanks for uploading this (and the others from this night as well). VOD is one of those bands that has such a ridiculous level of talent - individually & collectively - that they can go years without playing out and still get up there and deliver. I'm another old head (45) who had the privilege of witnessing them back in the day - and it's difficult to describe just how intense they were. I still think they don't get enough credit for how they impacted so much music that followed.
I know Tim has a great job and all but they have always just been such a great band I loved the last 2 albums they put out I hope they decide to do a little more
Many thanks for recording and uploaded this show. The whole benefit event was amazing, I loved each and every moment. Still hard to believe that I was there (traveled from Hungary) and saw VOD 2nd time, after 25+ years, (1st time when they toured with SOIA in Europe in 1997).
This band is so god dam good. They sound Perfect. Tim..PLAY MORE SHOWS, show these new cats how its done. Every single song slams...i really hope their were bodies flyin everywhere at this show!
Once in my early twenties (I'm 47 now), these guys came to my town and I somehow made my way on to their bus (probably offered to smoke them out). Unfortunately I was already stoned out of my gourd and everything was moving in slow motion. While standing in the tiny kitchen I turned and knocked a full can of grape soda on to the floor, spilling it everywhere. The bassist looked at me and with the most brutally serious face and said, "you should probably clean that up" handing me a roll of paper towels. I wiped up the mess as quickly as a I could and bolted off the bus in embarrassment. It was tite.
this is awesome, thanks for uploading bro... prayers to Lou! is it cool if i clip a song or two from the set? ill post credit and source info of course. thanks again
The demos did have bass, if i remember correctly it was Mike K (guitarist on the right in this video) who did bass tracking in the studio back then, before Mike F joined as full time bassist. But when they played out back then there was no bassist. Which was impressive because some people said it wouldn't sound good....until they played and people were too blown away to speak.
Sending love from the UK. VOD are still one of my all time favourites.
I hope they play more shows! Maybe even go to the UK?
This makes my heart happy. Lucky bastards got to go to this. Vod is the best.
So good!

They have gotten lost in history to some, but not those of us in the Northeast 👊
Score one for Team Old Guys, VOD still got it

@@ClintMcDonald-up6jn they can just hit some of the larger fests and not have to interrupt work/family much. Heck, bring the family with.
@ For sure man that would be awesome
So glad they headlined!!
Technically there were no headliners….all bands got the same 40-45 minute time but I was pumped they got such a good reaction going last!

All the places I used to see VOD at don’t even exist anymore. Their music will never die.
So true! A different time.

Good hardcore bands don't need to worry about huge spaces at the front of the stage
Please elaborate…..you mean these barrier shows?
he didn't know the words to scratch the surface
You think you know until 1000 people are staring at you with a mic in your hand🤣
Smoke show on the left is distracting the hell out me.
🤔
The bass was way too high, which is strange singe their early demos had no bass......
🤔

@burnittotheground108 right, i just saw that on their RUclips posted demos. Its that they didnt have a permanent bassist. Thanks
