- I Caught Shiny Pokemon In EVERY Region for this Shiny Hunting Challenge!
Shiny hunting has been around evey since Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal with our first journey into Johto! Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, Hisui, Paldea and Kitakami are all regions in the Pokemon world. Each of them bring new pokemon and with that new shinys and also new shiny hunting methods! I wanted to try my luck and see how I could catch a shiny Pokemon in every single region in order to try out new methods and catch different Pokemon! Technically there's also Shinies in gen 1, but you couldn't see them until gen two because gen one didn't have the sparkles. The shinyness was determined by their stats in gen 1.

You could have done double grass encounters for gen 5, the dark grass patches can let you encounter 2 pokemon at once sometimes, so at best your odds are 1 in 4096

Kanto is definitely nostalgic for me, even though I’m only 23 years old. My brother is ten years older than me, and he would let me play his older games ever since I knew how to press a button. The first games I played were Yellow and Pokemon Pinball lol. I have the most nostalgia for the Sinnoh region, however. Christmas of 2008, my sister and I both got DS Lites, and I got a copy of Pokemon Diamond and I fell in love. It was the first game that was mine first- not a hand-me-down. Unfortunately my brother was a brat and lent my DS to a friend of his so I ended up losing all my Pokemon games (I also had Platinum, Ranger, and Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky) and then ALSO lost my 3ds with my copy of Y, where I found my first shiny lol. Still a huge fan and avid shiny hunter to this day.
for x and y, you also couldve done hoard hunting or friend safari. Also dexnav isnt in Kalos. Only Oras
Friend safari is basically impossible these days, but horde hunting would've been cool!!

@Asm0d3u5 friend safari is far from impossible. Still works and there's a whole subreddit to finding whatever safari you want. As long as there's internet on the 3ds games, you'll be able to add safaris and hunt.
Fun fact:
You actually can get shiny pokemon from gen 1 itself! You'd have to trade it to a gen 2 game to see its shiny. It's stats are what make them shiny in gen 1! This is a great video!! Keep up the great work!! Love the concept and the video itself!!!

I'd name the Jynx "Sastrugi"! It's a type of ice formation that is made by wind erosion in polar regions! The way they form reminds me a lot of layered hair or the petticoats of a layered dress, so it'd be a cute name for an ice type pokemon with a lot of hair and a dress!
It's also pronounced "Sass-Tru-Gi." with a slightly rolled R.

About the chain fishing in oras and X and Y, were you playing in a emulator? For whatever reason when playing in a emulator there is some sort of input lag that makes chain fishing way way harder than it should be, it's really easy to chain on the real hardware.

I'm 28. Kanto's one of my least favorite regions. Paldea is probably my favorite region as a whole, just really fun to explore.

My favourite region is actually Alola. Pokémon ultra moon was my very first game and because of that every game that Lunala is in I will try to catch.

You can also get a gen 1 shiny Pokémon and send it to gen 2. You just have to know what IVs are required for that Pokemon.

In Pokémon black and white my first shiny. Pokémon that I ever caught in all of the games it was from a random encounter a Golett. At the time I didn’t know it was a shiny and I caught it and then I realized what it really was and oh boy I was in tears because I had never caught a shiny before I had heard of them, but never caught one😊 and this guy was one of my best Pokémon. He was always on my team and saved my butt all the way up to the very end of the game. And Pokémon black and white are known for their difficulty so and this guy was relief🥹

So I watched a video on poke radar that said to never encounter a pokemon after chain 39 unless it’s a shiny because you’re guaranteed I think he said 4 perfect IVs at chain 40 and obviously your chance at breaking the chain goes up after you hit 40 chains.

Could've tried horde encounters in gen 6 they're technically full odds hunts unless you got the charm but since you see 5 pokemon at a time you have a higher chance at getting a shiny
What about a shiny living dex of every obtainable shiny Pokemon
That would take an incredible amount of time, since there are over one thousand pokemon, and the odds of finding them are very low, so it would take a lot of luck and time.
That would be like a lifelong journey

I loved Pokeradar in XY because of fast shiny music which can randomly appear before you hit 40 and gives you the same shiny odds and its amazing
