Welcome to the Letterman RUclips Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era. - Развлечения
Carl was a true class act. He is so humble about his incredible talent.
Carl was the nicest rock and roll legend you could ever hope to meet. I spent a little time with him and just loved the man. He was so humble and kind. A true Southern Gentleman. God rest his soul.
Everyone who watches this MUST watch that All-Star-studded concert mentioned at the end. One of the greatest rock-and-roll shows EVER put together, and it's on RUclips - Rockabilly Session with Carl Perkins and Friends
I seen that one and some more he and they all were good.
You can tell he was an angel of a human.
He was super, down to earth and excellent singer as guitarist. A true legend.
I've never heard Carl say anything bad about anyone. He was a good humble man. Music and all. Then turned to God.
I've heard of Mr. Perkins my whole life but never heard him interviewed before. What a Southern gentleman and Dave did a nice job
Rock In Peace Carl...🙏🎸
What would it have been blast if Elvis was sitting right there next to Carl. Well it was not in the stars so I can only imagine what fun they would have togheter. Like Dave said, Carl is a legend. I loved the Dave Letterman show and this is a good example why. ❤
I love these kind of interviews. to me Dave is a legend as well
Amazing man all the way around!
Class guy. I have a new found respect for him.
When I was in grade five, I memorized the words to “Blue Suede Shoes”, and remember entertaining my class with an off-key rendition while our teacher was out of the room.
Great song, Elvis didn't want to record it because he was such a great friend. Carl was at the hospital recovering from a car accident and in the end Elvis had to record it, reluctantly that is. We all wish we had loyal friends like that!
I've heard different stories why he wrote Blue Suede Shoes but i believe his story. Carl and Elvis was my favorite.
Guitar, talent, swagger & a great song.
TAKE a page, kids!
46 years ago to the day this was uploaded (August 16th 2023) Elvis passed away aged 42.
Nice job making the connection. I knew a new Letterman clip had to be linked to death somehow 🤣
