My 2004 wrx idles low at times, and once in a while it’ll idle at 1100. Biggest concern is sometimes it feel like it wants to stall. Hasn’t stalled yet but I’m thinking it’s this valve. No cel or codes.
Did it fix it? My starter was bad so it would actually die, replaced it and will idle fine on cold start but will start to bounce around like it wants to die once it's warmed up but doesn't die
@@saladasSTi I cleaned the old one twice and replaced the gasket still had the same issues of the idle bouncing from 1k-3k. Replaced it and it fixed the issue and I scrapped the old one.
Did it have an odd idle going up and down on cold starts before you changed it? What brand did you go with for the new one?
I replaced mine and it keeps throwing the same code? Any thoughts? 2004 2.5 ts
Did you code comeback after you cleaned it? I cleaned mine and it came back. So overall did changing yours turn off the CEL?
Once I changed it and cleared the code it hasn't came back yet.
I originally cleaned it and the code came back, so I changed it out.

Mine is starting to die when exiting or in reverse, the rmps drop. I notice idle bounces around sometimes.

I have replace mine and now the idle has gone from 1-2k rpm bouncing to 200rpm. I don't know how its even possible to idle that low XD
Check grounds and vacuum leaks if you still have an issue!! Mine ended up being 2 small vacuum leaks and a ground strap that vibrated loose

Yeah before I changed my iac the idle was jumping.
Could've just cleaned it lowkey instead of spending 200
