For such a very simple concept, this sketch is absolute genius. I always love how the Monty Python sketches were usually very simple in nature, but they exposed any potential hilarity that could be found in the same simplicity.
Monty Python was written by its main performers. John Cleese wrote with Graham Chapman (who played Brian in the film), Michael Palin (the man paying for the argument here) wrote with Terry Jones. Eric Idle wrote on his own, while Terry Gilliam was the American animator. They would then test the material on one another.
Michael Palin and John Cleese came up with that. If you are just discovering their comedy you're into a world of treats. Monty Python's flying circus, Fawlty Towers... The life of Brian... You have so much to discover... I envy you on this.
One of my favorite Monty Python sketches of all time....watch skit where Michael Palin wants to become a Lion Tamer..!! Or Eric Idle wants to take Flying Lessons....Hilarious
*Monty Python's* accountant and manager from 1979-1997 is *Steve Abbott* from my city *Bradford.* He also co-owns their production companies *Prominent Features* and *Prominent Television.* Plus he's an *Oscar, BAFTA* and *Cesar* award winning producer, who mainly worked with *Michael Palin* (the guy who paid to have the argument) producing his travel shows.
For your own pleasure, you should catch the complete sketch. The full sketch includes two more rooms Palin enters; accidentally entering one, entering the other to complain and a final one to close out the sketch. You do have the meat of the sketch, though.
Good Reaction but this was even funnier because he enters the wrong room entitled ABUSE and gets destroyed by an angry Guy until they both realize he is in the wrong "room" and then goes to the correct room. They were 6 Members to The Monty Python ensemble. These were the 3 writing teams of "Cleese and Chapman"( Cleese being the Owner of Fawlty Towers, which you just reacted to) then there was Palin and Jones and Eric Idle as a solo writer. They were all British and the 6th member was THe Animator: Terry Gilliam who was from Minnesota.
And afterwards he goes to another room to complain, which fails.. and the next room turns out to be for lessons how to properly react to being hit on the head, and finally everything is ended by the police because the sketches have gotten too silly and confusing, which apparently is a crime. The whole thing really is brilliant 😆
Ultimate Python, glad you enjoyed it. John Cleese created it, along with the other five. Basicaly, two pairs and two singles that bounced humourous ideas of of each other.
They were all writers and actors - the American guy Terry Gilliam did all the silly and hilarious animations between the sketches and mostly posed as an extra in the sketches.
You should have told RUclips that this is copyright free material. I realise that some twat might have reported you but this is owned by the BBC who made it public and have no problem what so ever with you publishing it. If you do protest to RUclips you'll win every time and after about three times they'll just stop trying because they realise that it's just an arse reporting you without just reason. It should be noted that there are others that publish entire episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus and BBC has never once taken one down. So you have a hater that is reporting your videos, just take care of it by challenging it and that hater will be ignored. Got a like and subscribed out of hope that you will take this action, we don't need trolls and haters and we don't need RUclips policing fair use either.
It is NOT copyright free BUT the BBC don't own Monty Python. They sold the masters to Monty Python Pictures Ltd back in the 1970s (obviously permitting their future broadcasts in the process).
I remember my brother watching this when I was only a kid - he was a older than me. He still is today. Who'd have thunk it? Anyway, I remember being in hysterics.
Blackadder ( 4 seasons ) + Fawlty Towers ( 2 seasons ) are two other hilarious must see British comedy series - and there is of course the unforgettable "Yes, (Prime) Minister" series.
"You cut that video off before the sketch ended!" "No I didn't" "But there's another part to that scene" "No there isn't" "When he goes into other rooms" "No he doesn't" "Yes he does!" "No he doesn't" etc
One glance at today's thumbnail, and i knew you were going to react to Arguement Clinic. Too good. No,it isn't. I have always loved this skit. 'Haven't. It's just such a brilliant concept. 'Not necessarily. Thanks for reacting to this. The best, right? I've told you once...
