Because they depart the countries and leave control of the nations with their locals, that practice is called "Ocupation" and not really the same as invasion. For instance during the cold war, the Soviet Union made half of Germany a part of their domain, they ruled over the people there, the USA gave the germans their own government with the condition that they remain allied with the USA, that's the primary difference.
I don't watch documentaries, since they know close to nothing about episodes of World War 2 in Europe. I went to the conference concerning Finnish Winter War, Continuation War and War of 1945, that was held at the University of Warsaw. Guests were ambassador of Finland and one of Finnish historian officers. They clearly stated that they wanted to tell THEIR side of story. Unlike Soviets, they have nothing to lie about, since it's the soviets who were aggressors.
Why couldn't I have KV-2s as core units in that damn game?! WTF! the first mission is the only time you ever see the damn thing, and you know how many you get in that one stinking missio that aren't core units? ONE!!! ONE FUCKING KV-2!!! And that's it! It's never seen in the game again unless your the damn Germans fighting the Soviets! even then you only get to blow up ONE! Doesn't change the fact that you can only blow up the only other KV-2 in the stinking game!
They weren't produced or used in such big numbers, because look at that turret, it made the tank terribly slow, KV-2 was used mostly in defence as a field gun. T-34/85 and IS-2 were used more when it came to offensives.
They may have been fighting a hopeless cause, but they took a lot of Russians with them. I think the purge-ravaged Soviet armies lost 250,000 men before putting down the Finns.
Invader is a relative term. Yes, the Soviets invaded Finland. But, they were repelled. The Soviet Intro music is glorious because of the actions they took in World War Two, sacrificing their lives for their country without question, and going forth into battles they knew they would lose.
@Username232011 yes, Soviet forces destroyed most of the German forces, but you canť forget the effort of Allies on West Front and North Africa, or tons of supplies from USA for USSR. Soviet soldiers destroyed 7 from 8 German divisions, but most of Germany itself was invaded by Allies from the West and if the operation Market-Garden succeeded, US forces would be in Prague on Christmas '44
@RayPall ifit wasnt for the allies creating a 2nd front to the war via africa and normandy then hitler would have had enough supporting troops and supplies to win stalingrad
And how many people died in soviet lagers? How many people were killed during inter war and post-war repatriations? I agree, soviet soldiers were treated terribly in german POW camps, but you weren't any better.
also East Prussia, Kaliningrad oblast , some Japanese islands also is not yours. Plus now you are trying to conquer arctic !! not to say , many disputed areas !!
Yes, but they were driven out of Finland. The military plan failed. The political plan worked. I was more referring to the military plan's failure because this game is military strategy.
@buildingeverything That's a very naive statement to compare Brest to Hel. Hel had some geographical advantages and occured later in the campaign, giving the garrison some time to prepare (though it is a real credit to them that they held out as long as they did). Brest occurred almost immediately after Operation Barbarossa (June 22nd) commenced, and they were taken by surprise. That they even managed to hold out at all is a credit to their bravery.
That doesn't surprise me. The Finns had an excellent army throughout the war. And I can imagine it was easy to shoot Russians who were forced ahead of the main army to clear minefields by walking through them while commissars pointed guns at their backs.
Please, GULag archipelago was more or less a concentration camp in the wilderness. If that's your standard of a prison, then I feel really sorry for you. It only shows how much Stalin was similar to Hitler in his lack of any compassion or care for his own people.
"The only debate that is going on right now is between the historians. Whether Holodomor was caused to threat the Ukrainian independence movement OR was caused by communists' class hatred toward private farmers" -This is basically a lie. As I poined out earlier, there is no evidence for this position beyond the fact that the famine was extra hard for Ukraine. Fact you come up with a reason doesnt make it so. Moreever, you comment is logically ridicolous. People are more not less likely to rebel
@kurre192 Luckily, the Finland was so happy to jump in after the German invaded and started concentration camps and shelling of cities. What good sports.
@Username232011 Actualy Soviets play a vital part in Easta gaisnt Japan aswell XD Soviets destroy more japanese in days than americans in years! They also capture more land than Americans and British combined in their effort agianst Japan. And anyone can beat Italy XD Whats big achiviement in that? If Soviets came to Italy it would be what? Withoud germans 1 day of fighing at best
@YeuToQuoc1995 The USSR didn't have much choice, given that almost all of Europe was hostile towards the USSR. It was more of a "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of thing.
Ahahaha, are you crazy or simply in denial? Fins - 26,000 dead and 40,000 wounded. Soviets - 87,000 dead and 190,000 wounded. Finnish army counted total of 250,000 troops and yours - 1 million. Of course they asked for peace and gave you Karelia it was a country of 8 infantry divisions against a country with 300 infantry divisions. It's like bragging of a grown man that he'd beaten up a child.
People died in the camps because someone put them there. Read Solzhenitsyn and his Gulag Archipelago - it explains pretty clearly hows and whys of soviet camp bussiness. I never denied that Germans killed loads of people in concentration camps. I just say that commies weren't better. And you know people in lagers didn't land there because country was disorganised. They landed there because they opposed Stalin and later Khrushchev.
Supporting the Nazis? You do know, that Poland was the only occupied country that Germans had to set death penalty for helping Jews? That we had special part of Polish underground called "Żegota" which purpose was to help Jews in the ghetto? And you know that most of the people with Righteous Among The Nations medal are Poles? So, how will you explain Vlasov and crimes commited on jewish population in Poland by Russian soldiers of RONA and ROA?
@sevkanavsegda See, my previous comment. NKVD archive, 2006. The only debate that is going on right now is between the historians. Whether Holodomor was caused to threat the Ukrainian independence movement OR was caused by communists' class hatred toward private farmers (so called 'Kulaks'). And stop this childish raging this instant. Makes you look like you're 12 years old. Who knows, maybe you are.
The rest of your comments are merelly an extension of your ignorance. You state, "Simple reason - Ukrainian independence movement might have". It may have been, or it may have not. All the achive does is document the famine. That archive does not document how the famine was to be used as an instrument of war. In fact there is no archive that does. There are no documents stating how the famine was planned, or even implemented, because it wasnt.
Russian Army was worse trained, bad soldiers and shitty generels! The only thing what made the SovietArmy victory was the incredible number of soldiers and material!
Nostalgia. And when the horns hit that low note for some reason it gives me goosebumps.
for my opinion this is the best intro in the game i dont cnow why but i like it the most
The best rts I've ever played
8 years on, ive yet to see a better trailer
if there werent soviet guys, Romania has Basarabia, The North of Bucovina, Transnistria, Pocutia and "Insula Serpilor"!
@AlexanderTch Nothing makes my day then hearing words from a "Soviet Historian".
ВОЙНА means WAR
I could try it with Fraps... the Berlin missions were particularly hard.
This is from Blitzkrieg 1, the original game before the add-ons.
Because they depart the countries and leave control of the nations with their locals, that practice is called "Ocupation" and not really the same as invasion.

@@Sergpumpan,Ну а СССР с потерями не считался, мясом просто закидал и все, впринципе кто сильнее тот и прав.
It's funny, because he was never involve in the Winter War campaign.
@P45K141N3N Well, you are right, but I think he asked what the Russian words meant: "Voina", which means "War".
@P45K141N3N actually, it's rushing an enemy that fast, he can't defend himself really.. you could translate blitzkrieg with "very fast war"..
lol too the guy in the bunker
I agree! =D
Yeah - they'd used 'Fabricate Claim'
@RosoMC You're right!
Why couldn't I have KV-2s as core units in that damn game?! WTF! the first mission is the only time you ever see the damn thing, and you know how many you get in that one stinking missio that aren't core units? ONE!!! ONE FUCKING KV-2!!! And that's it! Doesn't change the fact that you can only blow up the only other KV-2 in the stinking game!
eh you can get even stronger core unit then the kv-2 there a but bad in close range the IS-2 is the real power house of the soviets
They weren't produced or used in such big numbers, because look at that turret, it made the tank terribly slow, KV-2 was used mostly in defence as a field gun. T-34/85 and IS-2 were used more when it came to offensives.
the KV2 was only used in the early part of the war for the USSR. The T34 was the best tank because it was easy to massproduce.
Hymer300
and also because it was very fast and had great mobility
but this is a game, it's supposed to be fun, and I want to have fun with six KV-2s in my unit in the game without having to mess with code xP
They may have been fighting a hopeless cause, but they took a lot of Russians with them. I think the purge-ravaged Soviet armies lost 250,000 men before putting down the Finns.

Over the rest of WWII, since you start off fighting the Finnish at the very start and end with the race to Berlin against the Germans.
Karelia was Finish the soviets conquer it in Winter War the only region that was conquered.
But they did manage to learn some valuable lessons after that.
The people are not evil. Regimes are. I agree. But really, when you say Soviet, you usually reffer to the people from Russia, Georgia, et cetera.
Think of Iraq and Afghanistan as a second Vietnam War. We're there only to stop terrorism, not because we're at war with either country
Exactly how long have you been on youtube?!
@szlatyka dude you scared me.. for a second i thougt "damn, this guys has to be stupid like potato".. but the last sentence saved you^^
Not BOHHA , but Voyna , in russian it means "War"
thats what the gernams thought but they got sniped back to berlin
Because they had a Casus Belli.
@Username232011 yes, Soviet forces destroyed most of the German forces, but you canť forget the effort of Allies on West Front and North Africa, or tons of supplies from USA for USSR. great game
Try asking that to the poor peasants who suffered and starved during the Soviet Union's "collectivization"
At least that Poland wasn't sign a treaty with Hitler at the beginning of the war like some country did =.=
Это сделали все остальные страны антигитлеровской коалиции ещё в Мюнхене. Кстати как там учитывали интересы Чехословакии?
@cwjian90 as long as I know blitzkrieg is certain type of air force and tank combinating strategy
Guysdon't blame teh nation blame the leader
i agree with you, only thing that comes to mind is that German atrocities overshadow Russian ones.
It means "war" , if I'm not mistaken.
very good game!!
@RayPall ifit wasnt for the allies creating a 2nd front to the war via africa and normandy then hitler would have had enough supporting troops and supplies to win stalingrad
They were not, they actually broke the Mannerheim Line at great cost, eventually forcing Finland to sue for peace.
And how many people died in soviet lagers? How many people were killed during inter war and post-war repatriations? I agree, soviet soldiers were treated terribly in german POW camps, but you weren't any better.
@Kafatasci35 why does nobody say USA are invaders? they invaded Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries! nobody says anything against them
this video was good 0:01 to 0:35 but after that......
Well and the fact that all the intro movies are " propaganda " movies of their prospective nations.
also East Prussia, Kaliningrad oblast , some Japanese islands also is not yours. Plus now you are trying to conquer arctic !!
not to say , many disputed areas !!
0:20 uhhh game developers..? *I can't read Russian!* xP
Yes, but they were driven out of Finland. The military plan failed. The political plan worked. I was more referring to the military plan's failure because this game is military strategy.
man i have the rusian version of the game
Suddenly, pissed off Polish.

Ei cara fica quieto, para fica falando mau de um povo que se não fosse eles eu provavelmente não estaria discutindo aqui.
@kurre192 Luckily, the Finland was so happy to jump in after the German invaded and started concentration camps and shelling of cities. What good sports.
@YeuToQuoc1995 yeah, but Poland gladly took part in the partition of Czechoslovakia(Zaolzie)
btw: terrorism started when the USA invaded the middle east, ever heard of a terrorist act before the gulf wars? yup, me neither..

search on youtube for video of taliban killing policemen, then you may know why.
@YeuToQuoc1995 The USSR didn't have much choice, given that almost all of Europe was hostile towards the USSR. It was more of a "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of thing.
@sevkanavsegda yeah and wath about the russians shooting his own soldiers to dead
that is not true...how many documentarys have you watched??
Ahahaha, are you crazy or simply in denial? Fins - 26,000 dead and 40,000 wounded. Soviets - 87,000 dead and 190,000 wounded. Finnish army counted total of 250,000 troops and yours - 1 million.

Finns. And yes, they were poor.

The Germans were poor...haha
That was Finnish Army, And Soviet failed to invade them in 1939-1940 Winter War

if it is..... i can say... even game can not survive their propaganda -.-
Che ignoranza.
@THE0h The german weaponery were better than the russian!
