    No reason to act like children when tasting international food you don't like for the first time. My statement is not just for you, but the rest of your fellow travelers too. At times, it could be disrespectful to show such expressions, after people offer their generosity of sharing their cultural meals with you. Taste it, and if you don't like it, just put it down.

    • @beambooi6431
      @beambooi6431 3 года назад +31

      Agreed. Literally even as a child I’d know better than to act that way when trying something new. If you don’t like something you just say it’s not for me or say it’s a just not my tastes. I know for certain id never be able to eat yak head so I’d just use the excuse that I’m vegan or something even though I’m not than say something like “oh this is gross and weird”

      They aren’t acting like children. They are acting like humans. It’s all fun. Don’t be so serious. Don’t insult children and, at the same time, don’t give us humans that much credit. We aren’t that sophisticated. If you are better than that, I challenge you to eat balut with a straight face. Btw way I LOVE balut and I, as a Filipino, won’t be insulted at your reaction.

      They know what it tastes like so being offended should be the least of their worries. It looks like they are having a good time and still trying something everybody knows is not too just people's liking. You expect them to be all prim and proper on vacation. You should relax some. Smile, laugh, don't be so judgey. God loves us all

When you are trying new food it’s new experience and new taste of course but you don’t have to act in this way to show your emotions . Appreciate this video for the portrayal of our culture! However, while you’re entitled to your opinion, the reactions and displays of disgust toward the horse milk were quite disrespectful. I get it, it’s not the most appetizing beverage for people who aren’t accustomed to it, but the response could have been more tactful. I hope your endeavors with other cultures and cuisines are approached more thoughtfully.

    I remember learning about how horses were very culturally significant to Indo-Europeans and they brought horses and chariots with them as they migrated in to Europe, Persia and India. It seems like that tradition has lived on for thousands of years because horses clearly are a major part of the culture of Kazakhstan and other Asian Steppe countries.

      Nur-Sultan looks like a resort city, which isn't really a good thing tbh, very artificial, no historical buildings, not a lot of people. If I go to Kazakhstan, I'd probably prefer Almaty which has real history and is truly alive.
      I don't see what's interesting in Nur-Sultan "architecture", just go to Disneyland instead.

    You learn something new every day! I didn't know that Astana's name had changed this year! One of the things that you're lucky enough to experience is folks in costume talking about culture and history... I remember when I was younger I would love to go to national parks and listen to rangers in costume tell stories about the park and the unique happenings there down through the years. I could sit for hours and just take it all in. You get this, plus you get the whole interactive hands on experience with the local food. Yeah, the taste might be an acquired one with the cheese, but it seemed at least to me... a whole lot of fun.
    I'm sure you did a good job with your speech. Since I like stories, I'd actually like hear about the transition of your workaday life to professional travel vlogger.... Perhaps someday, you'll share that story online. Great job so far... Keep on keepin' on!
