I like a Christian man that loves God.Im a single Christian woman and I love God and if I meet a faithful christian man we can pray together and grow old together.I would love him til I die.God bless you! LOVE💛 and PRAYERS🙏
As a Christian man who was single for over a decade in between age 20 and 40 this overwhelmingly has not been my experience. (men who refuse to grow up) Rather, it's been an infuriating inability to find women who value the kind, respectful, patient, and virtue seeking qualities of Christian men. Jesus told us, Matthew 7:6: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." What David seems to be advocating for here is that we should cast our pearls before swine, something that I don't altogether understand. The only explanation I can think of is that he has lived the life of a married Christian man for years and doesn't know what it's like out there for single Christian men. For greater perspective on this matter I hope he'll seek to better know the experiences of single Christian men. It's no laughing matter that men are killing themselves at 4 times the rate of women, that there is an epidemic of loneliness among men being consistently reported on in the news now (www.today.com/health/biggest-health-threat-facing-middle-aged-men-loneliness-t109750), that we are devoting ourselves to a Christ centered life, and are basically being told here to man up. Very disappointed.
‘Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released. Are you free from such a commitment? Do not look for a wife.’ - 1 Corinthians 7:27 ‘At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like angels in heaven.’ Matthew 22:30
I haven't had intimacy in years! I am totally impotent. I don't worry about dating anymore. I wouldn't marry because I have other, more important concerns to deal with.

Michael, I could not agree more. You hit the nail on the head. I think Platt's comments are VERY irresponsible.
Wow the church really loves to bash on single men I'm wondering why there aren't any in church anymore.
