This is so on time… I literally went through all of this today because I did blow up at my husband… I did express several times that certain things bother me… but it keeps coming up… I also have to be aware that the enemy is at play and uses my hurt and pain to get me off the square…I can handle the truth… TRUTH… not opinions. Not deflecting.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s is truly reflecting my experiences with him. He explodes and it’s difficult to advance conversations. I fight resenting him for taking a discussion to a place that derails the subject. Instead of teaching me me about his triggers, he allows me to step on land mines. The shut down is the worst.
I learned these lessons through trial & error. Having been through a few “love projects”😇 taught me that blending people’s needs & wants is not easy. This kind gets squared(mathematically) when something comes across the wrong way, even with the best intentions. So I’ve tried to and idea of what delivery is “digestible” when dealing with the significant other. Another gem dropped by Bishop & Dr. Steph!
I thank God for therapy in my latter years for years of complex trauma. I do not want to bleed on people who do not deserve the weight of my past traumas. ❤

good evening Bishop and Dr. Steph many times people ask us how we have stayed together so long married 41 year together 44 i would always reply communication is the key for me being honest with it plus we have fun together but marriage is work. At one point in our marriage my husband use to finish my sentence now it bothers me when he do it because i wanted to finish my own sentence because i need to express myself in the way i want it said he now understands but i still have to say hold up let me finish Lol.
Bishop, In a future episode, could you please address cursing/cussing as a Christian and is that an oxymoron? Christians don't curse/cuss (supposedly) Of course, the word speaks on this; however, sometimes my anger coupled with my betrayals and my traumas have caused me "to go there". I've even heard pastors curse/cuss. Just please give some insight! Thank You!!
