    Still astounding to me how this is 2024, and we have to be our own health advocate, treat ourselves essentially, in order to ensure good health. Coming from someone who has done so for the last 30 years! If it weren't for Dr.'s like Dr. Nemechek to validate it, and to make this information available, I would have gone insane at this point.

    My 7 year old boy was found to have a Biotinidase deficiency gene mutation. We just found out so we were not giving him biotin daily. I believe he developed SIBO because of the deficiency. And the years of inflammation have caused his brain to get worse. We started biotin supplementation, but I need to treat the SIBO or he won't get better. Rifaxamin looks like $2,000?? I'm hoping he only needs a 10-day course. Have you ever seen a BTD gene mutation cause this developmental delay with SIBO? I think odds are 1 in 60,000. Not sure why it wasn't caught at birth by hospital.

      I'm sorry but I've had no experience with this mutation and deficiency. Many parents need to purchase the rifaximin from Canadian mail order pharmacies.

    Dr Nemechek, my sister, 65 years old, is a warfarin user due to metal valve in her heart. Cld she take Rifaximin?

      Thee should be no contraindication to the combination but have her discuss this with her cardiologist or PCP just inn case there are other issues.

    Dr Nemechek, may I know how to choose a good L-Glutamine powder? Some products source the powder from Ajinomoto. Sound scarry to me. One more thing, when you mentioned 1 tablespoon of glutamine, does it mean 1.5g of L-Glutamine?

    • @TheNemechekProtocol
      @TheNemechekProtocol  Месяц назад

      I prefer l-glutamine from NOW Sports. High quality and very reasonable price. 1 tablespoon = 15 grams. 1 teaspoon = 5 grams.

    Hi Dr. N, my 7 year old boy’s doctor is willing to start rifaximin at 200mg dose 2x per day. You recommend 550mg dose. Will 200mg be enough? Curious your experience/thoughts on the lower dose.

    • @TheNemechekProtocol
      @TheNemechekProtocol  23 дня назад +1

      In my experience that dose will work for a bit but will ultimately break through and then a higher dose is required.

    I'm so confused. All my inflammatory markets are good, yet i tested positive for both types of sibo, brain fog, food intolerances, anxiety, moody, irritable, low thyroid, constipation. Took round of Xifaxan then 2nd round of Xifaxan with Neomyacin. Didn't notice any difference other than more constipated. Starting to wonder if it's SIFO, candida/fungal. I tested high for candida on blood test. Could sifo cause these issues?

    • @TheNemechekProtocol
      @TheNemechekProtocol  Месяц назад +1

      An increase in constipation after rifaximin is a positive sign the RIF has reserved SIBO. You case is exactly the problem with the limited inflammatory markers we have today. Treating SIBO alone isn't enough to lower inflammation to the degree you need to allow the nervous system to recover. You also need 30 ml of EVOO per day and 3,000 mg of the omega-3 DHA and quite possibly 5 min. of vagus nerve stimulation. The FO and EVOO can be found at nemechekprotocol.com.

    Can SIBO move up into the stomach or other organs and cause massive inflammation underneath the sternum that makes it very difficult to breathe? Long covid, vax injured here.

      Reflux of stomach contents can cause the symptoms you describe and you might not even sense it as reflux. Discuss this with your physician or gastroenterologist.

    I have twin children with autism who are 4 years old. How can I obtain the protocol with the items? I reside in Germany. Do you have a branch there?

      I am completely convinced that there is a strong link between the intestines and autism. My two children suffer from severe constipation that coincides with the appearance of autism symptoms. I tried a lot to talk to doctors, but to no avail. They just give me Laxbene.

    Is there any other good option if you cant tolerate glutamine? (dizziness)

    • @TheNemechekProtocol
      @TheNemechekProtocol  Месяц назад +2

      That would be very unusual. Either try a lower dose or consider treating SIBO differently. Co-existing SIBO can cause patients to have a wide variety of unusual symptoms when taking supplmenets such as fish oil, olive oil and glutamine.

    Hello, if unable to see you directly (due to location), would you have any tips on how to succesfully obtain the Rifaximin Rx? I wonder if there's anything I could tell my PCP to convince him to write the Rx. What is the typical dosing for an adult?

    • @TheNemechekProtocol
      @TheNemechekProtocol  Месяц назад

      Xifaxan (rifaximin) is approved in the U.S. for IBS with diarrhea. If you have any symptoms similar to IBS-D, maybe they will write you a prescription.
