Thanks for watching and as always, keep on rolling solo!

    *FYIs:*
    #1. If you successfully roll the Sneak requirement (e.g one circle icon) you can choose any attack to make without having the required symbol, it just costs the stamina and/or magicka cost.
    #2. After completeing a dungeon, you get to pull a Treasure card from the B deck. Don't want to miss out on that surprise!
    #3. In combat you can also rest to regain stamina. It means you could potentially take a hit but that allows you to refill your stamina!
    #4. 31:30 The card stated to place a threat on each quest. So I couldn’t have bundled them together. However, my intent was to explain that most cards don’t specify which means you do get control over where the threat goes.
    "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - The Boardgame is a 1-4 player co-operative game of adventure and exploration across Skyrim. Players take the roles of heroes involved in epic quests, working together to defeat their enemies and exploring the vast expanse of Skyrim. You will be able to choose character miniatures like the Khajiit, Nord, or High Elf; plan your strategy with weapons or spells; and fight your way through forgotten mines, Draugr-infested tombs, or ancient Dwemer cities to find ancient treasures and increase your power.
    The players must keep an eye out as the threat increases across Skyrim as Dragons, Daedra, Trolls, and more roam the lands and wreak havoc across the holds. Players need to work together to keep the lands free, whilst balancing the demands of their most important quests.
    The base game is divided into two campaigns of three chapters each. The decisions the players make from their first turn have a distinct effect on the unfolding story and encounters, making the whole campaign experience different every time you play. You can even save your progress after each game and start the next chapter with the same character, equipment, and skills.
    With the numerous choices of characters, gear, magic, and skills matched with the many decisions each player makes through their quests, there are literally hundreds of hours of gameplay, with some stories not even seen based on your early decisions. The face of Skyrim can change during the game, impacting the course of the players' experience in subsequent chapters. At any time, the players can simply reset, choose another character and play style, make different choices, and experience things differently. Alternatively, pick a chapter that sounds fun and drop in to just play that adventure as a one-off."

    Thanks for a really great video. I'm a massive fan of the Skyrim universe and am adjusting my expectations about how they're porting the video game into a boardgame. Overall I think it looks a solid overland adventure game similar to Runebound and has some Hexploreit vibes as well (although admittedly Hexploreit is much heavier to manage) and I'm edging closer to backing the core game. Your video did a great job at showcasing some of the key mechanics and gameplay so thanks.

      Hey Chris! Awesome to hear that. Was hoping this would be a good guiding light for those wanting to pledge based on some gameplay. I could t show everything off (market phase) etc as it wasn’t in TTS but cover enough of the early stages to give people an idea. Thanks for watching my friend! 😄

  • @BobbyLCollins
    @BobbyLCollins 2 года назад +1

    There's no way I'm paying $100 for a base game, plus an additional $200 for the entire game. If they were to offer a COMPLETE TTS version at an affordable price...maybe. Bu this is Skyrim FFS, they could have mass produced this and sold it at retail for $39.99 and sold millions of them. As it stands, this is just a luxury item for trust fund kids, and the only way I'll ever get it is if it totally bombs (it won't) and becomes available on the aftermarket at a reasonable price (it won't).

    • @RollingSolo
      @RollingSolo  2 года назад

      Hey Bobby! Cost is certainly a key factor in the decision no matter what the game is. Sounds like it's a no go in your case. Hope the video helped you out either way. Cheers!

    How is the replayablity for this game my sensei?🧐
    I thinking of buying this game, but fear that there is not enough quests or items for variety.
    As i see if you did a quest once, you will know the right answer next and this is an advantage.

    • @RollingSolo

    I really like a lot of this game, the way skill checks, quests and events work is really cool. Also quite like the threat system how it can cause cities to be less efficient for you. But the thing I love the most is the leveling, you seem to have so much freedom to create your own character.
    Still, I'm on the fence like some others. For me, the main issue, is that I have games like Hexplore It and quite many dungeon crawlers (I know this isn't a dungeon crawler but the leveling aspect is somewhat similar), also worried about how this works in co-op. Won't be my thing (or of my group) if it's a co-op where everyone goes around and does their own thing 90% of the time.

    • @RollingSolo
      @RollingSolo  2 года назад +1

      The level up mechanic are pretty open ended to build out your character as you wish which I do like! You have World events that are open for all compared to personal quests. So there are two major avenues there. I’d check the campaign page for co-op specific details as I focused on the true solo play.

    I love Skyrim, only wish it was not in Modiphius hands right now ... I really dislike the artwork with all these in-game screenshots. The player boards, tokens and cards are so ugly ... the SGs are a joke so far ... well, it seems that I'll have to wait and see what Chip Theory Games has to offer next year with their ES board game.

    • @RollingSolo
      @RollingSolo  2 года назад +1
