Since you own both I would love to see a comparison between m7 and m8 considering ports, price, screen quality and audio quality. Looks like for half the price the m7 is the one to go imho.
I was going to ask, and then read the comment below, as to whether it could be used with the Apple Studio? The entire Apple Studio is way out of my budget right now, but the thought of going back to a 24" monitor after using my 28" iMac is just depressing. I did not see too many ports in the back though to accomodate my Wacom Tablet, two external drives, a keyboard, and a hub (just so I can plug in my phone etc.) Confess I am an Apple addict, but the studio as said is just sky high for me at this point.
Question, could you test your monitor light bar from the M7 on top of the M8 and try using a USB-C to USB-C cable to give the camera enough length to hang over the light bar?
Nice review. Question, though: i'm a graphic designer, and i'm only concerned about two things: image quality (for documents, web design, photography, and video), and size. I'm always bothered by the lack of screen size on my 27" iMac, so i was hoping to get (at least) a 32" monitor. But, is the quality of viewing on par with the new Apple monitor? I'm aware of 5k vs 4k, but i'm coming from a late 2012 iMac, so either one will be an upgrade on what i'm used to. I definitely need accuracy and sharpness, though. With that in mind, do you recommend this for me?
Quick question. With only one hdmi, can you have this connected to both a pc and gaming console at once without having to switch the hdmi back and forth? 🤔
Hi, So what is your experience of dual monitor, dual remote setup? will they interference with each other? If I put a black tape in the remote's IR sender and forcing the remote only send signal via bluetooth paired, will that fix the issue? thanks
Does the camera work if I’m on a FaceTime call on my Mac is plugged in or a zoom call for example? Or does it only work with the native duo that it comes with? I wanna make sure if my Mac is plugged into it that I can use it
I purchased this monitor on 4/17 and I recieved it on 4/21. I am very pleased with it, but the camera only works for the monitor and not my pc that I have hooked up to it. I tried everything to connect it, but my pc keeps saying no camera found. I called Samsung a few times for different reasons and the last time I called was today about this issue. Anyone I talk to is not familiar with the monitor at all. The guy I talked to today said the camera works for the monitor only, but I believe he just said that because we were on the phone so long and he couldn't help me. Were you able to get the camera connected to your pc? I figured it would automatically connect seeing that the camera is attached to the monitor:0(

Hey bro! I bought a 4k monitor (the new S8 monitor) from samsung recently and i also bought xbox series x, so when i am connecting both of these together, xbox is complaining that "4k is not supported" please help me! 🥺
Before you even started the review proper I am definitely going to stick with the M7. The PATHETIC lack of ports on this tv is stupid. ONE hdmi? No USB A ports? Double the price? Are Samsung joking? I need at least 2 normal sized HDMI ports not ONE stupid mini port which you need an adapter or converter for. Thank you for this review though. At least I know not to get one of these old fashioned monitors. This should of been called the M1.

I am testing now. I actually got it to work with zoom the other day.
