and i thought a " stationary shield " in a game where movement is everything is totally useless..... guess I was wrong, and I gotta try this on nemesis
So , late to the party obviously , I am playing this in PC. First two attempts on Nemesis boss, brutally failed - not a good build up. So I fed Cthonos till it gave me this shield. Haven't got more than a SINGLE piece by the time I reached Nemesis, I don't know how you ended up having FOUR of these. Maybe they nerfed this down somehow, I don't know.
I tried this last night, after using the second barricade the game automatically stripped me away of 3 barricades and I took a hit instead. Most disappointing 3:30hrs prep time ever.
Yo, I found out how you unlock it, you have to get it from the Cthonos, thats the thing at the very beginning where you can spend 3 ether and get a random item.
The thing at the beginning, you can put etter in it and unlock items, after you unlock this, alot of different enemies will begin to drop them when you kill them.
@@nicolaysbunny1851 Thanks for the reply. I have the game paused right before the boss and I think there's some carbines/thermogenic launchers lying around. I'll grab one of those.
@@2FingerTuesday both of those Will do better than hollowseeker. The boss is actually one of the easier ones.keep moving, and on the later stages change platforms often and you'll be fine. Good luck!

I had some fantastic artifacts and parasites. Level 15 weapon and about 250% suit integrity. I had no idea there's an "Act 2." I'm ready to take that now.

No, you unlock the shield from cythonos, after that alot enemies drop them when you kill them. Actually you can find them everywhere after you unlock it, but they kinda suck on anything but bosses
You have to unlock them from the cythonos, the place you trade in ether at the beginning..when u unlock it enemies will start dropping these shields pretty frequently😃 good luck!

It's called an energy barrier or something like that. You can unlock it from the thingy at the beginning, the one that accepts ether. When you unlock it enemies will begin to drop this item when you kill them
Really, I would say that using the tools the game gives you, and using them smart to get through is part of the game, not cheating. And I bought that energy barrier with my hard earned ether, you could and should do that aswell😉
@@nicolaysbunny1851 I agree but after beating the game myself, the experience would feel a little different if I had of known and used that consumable for Nemesis. I definitely probably would of used it but I know it feels more rewarding after beating him with your skill and dodging his attacks instead. But all is fair for that game as it’s a hell of hard game to beat, in my opinion anyways.

The game froze and lost my consumable I unlocked so i had to farm for the barricade over again some BS bug
I played today and the barricade last only several seconds… I think they are fixing these to make the game harder wooo I’m so happy

I would not use the hollowseeker, the bullets does so little damage

how come your adrenaline doesn't reset when you get hit?
It did reset during the video. typically you can get hit once maybe twice before losing it depending on what items you have.

I’ve never seen the shield in any of my play throughs. It would be mad helpful towards in the last few biomes.
